In this market, I would advise you to stay bitcoins, it is the most safe option in this moment, that can bring you a very good profit. For all ICO now is not a very good time..
Of course ICO is a very risky investment. BUT also can bring you good money .

I would not advice you to invest them in icos but rather in promising and potential altcoin because they will yield reasonable rewards especially if you hold them. Altcoins are usually more profitable than icos because they are established but you need to do a very good research in other to find the potential ones. 
This time ICO investment is not a good choice. Look at the ICO's red market. I have some TMT tokens I could not sell them and what I'm doing now is waiting and watching them makes me really tired.
Look at these projects as at the method to save your cryptocurrencies from the fall, mostly Bitcoin and Ethereum. The number of these crypto coins you pay does not depend on the price of cryptocurrencies.
If the team tries to investigate this problem or immediately says they will not attempt to register on the exchange, then skip the ICO. I believe if a team takes tens and hundreds of millions of dollars from investors, the exchange list is the minimum they have to do for us

ICO investment is very risky and you might end up losing everything. Looking at the current trend of market, I dont think it will be a bad idea to just hodl your btc because most altcoins are just bleeding heavily and you might end up losing.

If you follow all projects correctly, where you invest your money, you can make a profit by investing even small amounts in a lot of projects. However, if you want to keep, I'm not recommending to enter Ico at all now
Exchanging BTC for an ICO investment might be very risky. I would have gone for ETH and Bitcoin cash whereas keeping some of the BTC if I were you. There is an ICO which I really have knowledge about and it might be very promising. Gemstra.
Exchanging coins just so another person could get coins from an ico is not a good idea. Money is a huge issue there.

You have to do deep research before youbput your hard earned money in any crypto. Also try to make some research through some ICO review sites then split your money to be different ones.

The best advise that I can give you is to make your own decision based on your own research. These days there are a lot of people who can use you by saying to invest in something wrong. So don't listen to anybody. The best adviser for you is yourself
In my opinion, ICO investment is one of a best way, but before that you must have to get some knowledge about coins. You have to check current ICOs , their road map and white papers.

never decide to invest in ico if you don't have a lot of knowledge. there are so many ico scams now, and many ico investors are inflamed because they have lost a lot of money. so you should think 100x before investing in ico.

Investing in an ICO is much more risky than exchange trading. You may easily get scammed and you will lose it all. It takes so much time and effort to find a really good now, cuz there are thousands of them willing to have your money and never be back
