Yes, you are right for that, if you want to make a profit by investing in ICO, because by investing in ICO, you will get very attractive profits once their coins are listed in the market, but you should be more careful in choosing the project because it will make You lose if you choose the wrong project to invest, make sure their team profile is correct or not.

Everyone that researches icos on a daily basis got atleast a few of the top icos. I invested in lisk and neblio ico and got antshares early on before they rebranded to NEO.
There is no doubt that everyone should atleast invest a small portion of their portfolio in the top upcoming icos. (Always do your own research). ICO investments beat everything else by a huge margin for me.

Use research groups on telegram and ico spreadsheets, learn everything about ico investing you need to know on the internet and just start small. I've acquired freedom through crypto investment, just like many people i know. I dont think investing BTC in an ICO is such a good idea unless that ICO has an extremely high chances of succeeding. i think you hold that BTC and if you have to spend it then spend it on proven altcoins instead. ICO is too much of a risk

Surely you should invest them in some solid and prominent ICO but before proceeding to invest keep following thins in mind.
1.Development team.Experienced and efficient development team is essential.
2.Core idea introducing new innovative technology having competitive edge over other coins.
3.Promotions strategies.See different channels will be used for marketing activities to attract community attention.
4.Sufficient Budget.Will it be financed for long time or short time funds for constant development activities is budgeted or not.
5.Proper website.It should have proper website which should be so descriptive that it may contain all the related material with that ICO.
 I think these are the minimum requirements to sort out some authentic ICO to make investment.

ICO is a great way to buy coins at almost the lowest price. But in the last time all contrary. Many coins lose their value several times after entering the stock exchange. In addition, many Scam projects. Personally, I am not willing to invest in ICO, and buy coins after going to the stock exchange.
