congratulations again....recognition for hard work and dedication just keeps rolling in...awesome.

on thing that I'm not understanding is why recognition for award is in Mobile Innovation category.
(there is no mobile wallet and the one that existed, I thought, was provided by 3rd party)

We have a wallet it was under maintenance should be up on by the weekend...

Thanks
so is the old mobile wallet being recognized or is it the new updated wallet that's being recognized for innovation..(the one that has not been released and therefore not really evaluated)

again just seems like the category for the award is a bit of a stretch....but its good to get recognition for sure

"The old Android wallet was a central controlled solution operated by a third party"

Hi,

To add some more info about the Foundation:
People can read more on www.iodigital.io/foundation

Next to that we would have an I/O Digital advisory board as well in the future.

Large donators or contributors can get an un-official seat to the I/O Digital advisory board. They will be kept in close loop with the board, developments and future of I/O Digital Foundation. They will have an advisory vote and voice on issues the board officially votes on.

Any addition to the advisory board need to be voted for by the current board members.

Regards,
Richard

I/O Digital Announces!

THE I/O DIGITAL FOUNDATION

The team has decided to form an official foundation for the open source developments of I/O Coin and it's Blockchain. We have been approached by VC, private entities, companies, investors, community members, that want to help grow and donate to the I/O Digital project. During many of our meetings with companies and VC we quickly learned that we needed to have a more robust structure. We also had to have in place means for the future securing of the private keys. With setting up the foundation it will make it all possible. It also ensures that the I/O Coin blockchain will stay in the hands of our Non Profit organization. The foundation is only the beginning of our structuring. We will be announcing in the coming months after the DIONS launch, the first use of our blockchain in a commercial way.

The foundation will be based and registered in the Netherlands. Officially in Dutch it is called “Stichting I/O Digital”. All I/O Coins and it's blockchain upgrades developed by us will be represented by the foundation. We have initially set up a formal board consisting of people that are with us from the beginning of I/O Coin and I/O Digital and have a big heart for developing open source technology. Especially Blockchain technology. Each board member has their responsibilities in the foundation board. All developments from the past two years have been paid privately by the current board members. There was no ICO or pre-sale when launching the project in 2014.

Donating means people will also be helping charity and I/O Coin. 5% of every donation will be spent on buying I/O Coins for future rewarding. 10% of every donation will be spent on a public charity, chosen by the board (shortlist) and community voting that shortlist. The rest will be spent on:  development, marketing, design, legal and management. We will accept Bitcoin, I/O Coin and SEPA international banking donations. All information about donation addresses and board member responsibilities can be found on our page:

DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

We are now fully working on our new revised name model. Management of DIONS aliases is much easier now for the end user, we have RSA key's and we are making use of them for name creation encryption, the user will have full access to his name life cycle this way and the wallet can easily poll this info now which is all that is needed. There have been a few delays because of this upgrade to our DIONS code and we are still pushing to get the wallet ready in the next week so pat and ophie can start looking at the DIONS work flow and clean it up for internal Beta. Everything is looking fine but as dev's we want to make sure our aliases is the most robust in crypto.

Thanks Everyone

IOC needed to retrace for all the new investor, like myself. No one really likes to buy after 100% price rise with over supply at this price by one or two people. A investor like to see a good spread of people on the market and slow steady rise. I do not like to be dictated by rich whales whom cares less.

marketing idea's I have..

Lets talk bitcoin, Be amazed how many people listen the show's including myself
Facebook advertisement attract the people that never heard of crypto's as educational documentation, a lot people first learn of bitcoin this way from word of mouth.

most of important in future, do a real proof of work for the community members, where people give out flyers all around the world on reward basis for return of something special and unique.

but you guy's really need to do a documentary you-tube style, include where you come from, what inspires you to do the work, what is plan for the future, and a creative vision what is possible in your vision.
people need to feed of your energy while as business keeping some information private.

i/o digital is like a diamond that is just been dug up, but people are not too sure what they have, is diamond or quartz, as people have said before crypts-currency is full of fools gold on first appearance the info commercial tv looks great, and think wow, it comes in the mail and often breaks on first use and so on.

what ever I say is my thoughts only and just to take it as grain of salt I just like to try to give energy to the project and trying to keep things interesting, when ever I read a DEV update it makes my day as interest and hobby to see one day the world change.

we just need to remember to be assertive  with FUD, aggressive behavior returns the same behavior and passive behavior have people walk all over you.

Keep up the good work

Hey all,

Some nice news again.

Just got confirmation that I/O Digital is attending the Dutch Blockchain Conference the 20th of June as well. I’m taking another day off for this event. Through our contacts at KPMG we are invited and don’t have to pay entrance. Another nice invite to show what we got to investors, technology adaptors and businesses. More info on: http://dutchblockchainconference.com/

==
June 20th 2016 @ KPMG Headquarters, Amsterdam.

The Dutch Blockchain Conference is founded to inform the vanguard of Dutch business and government leaders about the latest developments concerning Blockchain and Bitcoin technology and to connect them with the international community. Top speakers share their knowledge and vision, the latest developments and the impact that Blockchain and Bitcoin technology has and will have on business and society. The conference offers a constructive, critical view on the new technologies of Blockchain, Bitcoin and “crypto currencies”, and presents the audience with the necessary content and tools for them to be able to engage in both strategic and practical discussions concerning the innovation of services and products.

Maybe see you there!

Hey Simon,

Thanks for the coins. Appreciated. I'll keep them then because they are nice.

Hi all,

Thanks for all the support guys. Appreciated.

Just want to say that this person has a history that is not so nice. We have been there with him and so do other community members.
Im not going to post all his e-mails in here because that would not be professional.

But i want to past a specific part of one DM's i got from "mrwhitebytes, tainonr1fan, surestrike, coinangel, peterprime and iocpromotiontips" (those are all the same person) i'm keeping out the specific personal details but these kind of PM's say enough.

==
All the negative stuff/words/messages, was me getting stressed (and being stupid when had too much to drink) and "blow my lid" so are the complete opposite of my true words , which is nothing but respect for everyone involved in this project.
I have been going through some super stressful times, mostly because of money problems and you know how they can effect relationships.
==

I have dozens of these direct messages over the past 18 months.

Simon did a good job for the community and like he says spend a time and money for promotion. We thanked him for that because he deserves that.
Simon also sent 10 physical I/O Coins to me for the FinTech awards last week. I have a few left.
@simon: i have your personal address because it was on the enveloppe. Should i send these remaining coins back to you?

If somebody ask us if we want to do something or has ideas, we give feedback. If we don't like it, we say so. If we do, we say so to!
This is an open forum and we are open for discussion every time in every timezone (almost).

Again thanks for all the kind words in here, slack and DM's. All your supports are appreciated!!

ok, now back to work and make a Blockchain! ;-)

Richard

The only thing you are making is a disaster.   Say goodbye to the one and only Dev you have, when he reads this hes going to quit for sure.  Well done Richard, well done.
Here, have this shovel, its easier to dig with.

Post any of the messages i have sent you, see if i care, all it is doing is harming IOC's  reputation and your own.

You did not answer the question: shall i send the remaining coins back to your address?
Well, i will send them either way. Thanks for sending them to me for FinTech usage. People were happy to receive them.

no, im not posting all those messages you sent. Not worth it.

Cheers

Desperately need funding? This is not about you and what you want or think. Seems to me only thing desperate is you. Constant nonsense. Who gives a shit what's taking long. If it takes 2 years to roll out chameleon or dions good, whatever. Ur just a meltdown away from flipping out because price is not where u want it. Take Ur profit n buy vericoin. It's 10k sats. This is same shit with u man. Give it a rest. Let the devs.work.

Its a forum.

An Internet forum, or message board, is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages

anyhow, if i am "a meltdown away from flipping out" They why keep provoking me and writing crap like this, trying to make me out to be something i'm not. You all forget, i have been here since day one, i have donated more i/ocoin than any of you, (except Joel) i have done more to promote IOC than any of you. I am the one who invested more money into IOC than any of you, i am the one, that has always held and put my last bitcoin in to support the price when it rose and ended up buying even higher...

So now i Bite.  35k is going to be a son of a Bitch to Reach.

90 BTC sell wall and a 30 BTC sell wall around the low-mid 30k...not much if we IOC had more trading volume.

Walls appearing everywhere lol, has price manipulation begun?

Thanks London for the continued support

Markets move in cycles and so do the manipulator(s) it seems. So here is how it works:

-Devs deliver some good news (which they always do to be fair since every single line of new code they write is good news as far as I am concerned)
-Manipulator gets all happy, jolly and excited
-Manipulator declares that he will be buying at said price when he/she is actually selling (in chunck of 26-30k)
-Manipulator asks community for Bid support to preserve the coin's price when he/she is actually trying to dump above a certain price
-Manipulator claims that the sell side is being suppressed and coins are going into day traders hands and not holders when actually he/she is the one suppressing the price. Why you may ask? well because the manipulator is now trying to buy back in cheaper

-If price suppression alone isn't working then manipulator starts to panic as the price is keeping steady (+ or - 15% in alts is steady imo) and he/she can't just keep selling his/her coins in fear that the price might go nuts
-FUD: manipulator starts spreading Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt amongst the community about project direction, speed of execution, random comparisons with random coins, talking up what other projects seem to be doing .....etc  in hope that other people will react and dump lower than what he/she sold for so that he/she can buy back his/her coins and bank a profit

-Devs deliver what the manipulator sees as good news and the cycle starts again

These cycles happened numerous times since IOC started recovering after the altcoin dumps of late 2014/beginning of 2015, IOC went from 500 to 3000 and then back to 1500 and up to 6000 and down to 3000 and up to 13000 and down to 3000 and up to 32000 and down to 13000.

The good news is, this recent jump in price took a lot of coins off the manipulator, my feeling is that he/she is finally losing grip on the market which is great news to the project and the community.

The community is growing, I am honestly amazed when I look at the numbers from the last month or so where the number of twitter followers (amongst them were many VCs, Banks, FinTech specialists) has increased by circa 300, slack has grown to more than 135 (I miss the days when it was around 45 Smiley ), IOC has been to conferences, won awards, the project is getting recognition from within and outside of crypto. The market cap is few fold what it used to be so honestly the good news is everywhere you look as long as you look objectively.

Im the One who Knocks.
Unproven ICO blockchain projects = 0

Unless these projects are attached to some hot air and the quick possible profit, nobody would care for them. In this space you will get plenty promoters to find someone to gas up, to the very highest levels, to find someone else to dump on. Hidden and Known devs are quick to dump a project to start up another ico for quick profit. They can spin up ico after ico and make it seem like what they have is GOD Sent and the next BITCOIN destroyer.

We are not in this business of Hype and quick hot air for pump. We are building a secure blockchain ecosystem with our own sacrifice and our own hard earn money. The entire dev team has paid for every single coin we own and that says allot. When you have ICO projects making coins out of thin air you tell me, what kind of commitment that is. Hard work and dedication is the only route we know. We will stick with it, for the foreseeable future, as richard mentioned above. We are here to build a real blockchain ecosystem. Our team has a combined 50 plus years of business and tech experience and we are confident of our success in the long run, no need to hype and or compare to anyone else.

Joel

I only mentioned ICO for ONE POINT ONLY. That was "me thinking" it would be very beneficial to IOC, to get the funding you guys desperately need to Speed Things up! (thats it, thats the only reason and the fact that this is a solid project so people would be happy to invest).

Part B. Is the fact that, someone else could come along, with a ton of funding and beat you to what you are doing, this is possible and could well happen, Vericoin is bragging about how it will be the best PoS decentralized coin and is working on usernames also. So what happens if they beat IOC to it?  They probably end up with the VC funding and not IOC.

So thats the point i was trying to make, it would be very good if developments could speed up, because they are taking a veyr long time (which is expected, i understand that).

Just saying if you had more funds, you could hire more people and gets things up and running more quickly and not be overtaken by another project.

Thank you.
