I have answer only for your first question. No, it is not done by any other service, its feature made possible by Tangle architecture, it works very diferently from blockchain, there is no need to confirm whole chain, because there is no chain, one transaction confirms another and so on.

Let' s also not forget that IOTA is also safe from Quantum Computer attacks. BTC is not.

It's good time to buy in, iota is still undervalued considering the partnership with ubuntu and innogy. Machine economy is the future.

Exchanges won't be for a while. There's absolutely no reason to rush IOTA, and there shouldn't be any desire to get traders involved.
