All the IOTA trading is done in the IOTA slack at the moment until it's listed on exchanges.
And slack is nothing magical or complicated, its just like a chat room with more features.

http://www.iotasupport.com/buyingiotaotc.shtml

There is a big explanation in the #trading chanel how things are working now.

Thank you ! Gonna check now  Wink

unclaimed iotas will be considered as donations to the foundation. But how would  you get access to the unclaimed tokens when they are locked up behind unknown seeds?

is it safe now to use the light wallet for claiming and regular use, or is it still not a final release and intended just for testing?

At the moment i know 2 people that successfully claimed with the light-wallet (1 on linux and 1 on windows). I never heard of a problem with claiming  Smiley

Its really easy:
Go to "Tools" and click "Claim Process"

Then simply enter your old seed and a new seed. Wait until PoW is finished. Login with your new seed Smiley

Take care of your seeds! Make sure you dont lose them in any way (create backups, print them or do whatever is needed that they dont get lost)

Are there any known bugs in this release? I have installed it and tried to finally claim a remaining portion of my Iotas, but what I got is pretty strange.
Opened the "Claim process" dialog, entered old seed, then the new seed (different one) two times. The button indicated "Claiming" for some time, then it showed something like "The seed contains 212 Gi", then after some time button changed to "CLAIM COMPLETED" in nice blue color.
However when I login using the new seed, I see balance is zero.

Well, I logged out, and did the claiming once again, absolutely the same procedure, just with different new seed. Both the process and result were again the same - it reported "The seed contains 212 Gi" (regardless of the fact I already claimed them!), and "CLAIM COMPLETED". Then again, I logged in by new seed and saw zero balance.

Am I doing something wrong? The procedure is extremely simple, I cannot see what I can do wrong there.
BTW, I used http://service.iotasupport.com:14265 as the node, just in case if it makes difference.

Would appreciate any help, or RTFM if needed Smiley

It can take up to an hour until you see your balance on the new seed.

Can someone post it here ?
Don't tell me about slack, i don't understand what is it )
If you can't join slack, then its best you wait for the official light wallet release.
Coming this or next week probably.

IRI runs fine ages now, but I just got an error trying to run the GUI.  First time/version this has ever happened, btw.

Fresh install, old db deleted, updated java, node.js, etc.  Please let me know what I am missing:

Code:
A JavaScript error occurred in the main process

 Undecided

Edit:  Ubuntu 16.10 64-bit

Try restarting, that often solves the problem.
Otherwise you can also wait for the next pre-release or for the official release. The current light-wallet is still in testing / development and has some bugs.

Hey hey, with light-wallet people become to come alive Smiley

Yeah, with light wallet I would expect the last layer of sellers/dumpers to come alive. Hopefully not many. A good chance to get cheap Iota now Smiley

We are moving forward  Smiley

Wallet:
Here you can find the officiall GUI wallet release that includes the light-wallet! The light-wallet ist still in testing phase so please report the bugs that you found!
https://github.com/iotaledger/wallet/releases/tag/v2.1.0

Simply click on „Switch to light-mode“ under „Tools“:

Is there a need to upgrade from 2.0.2 if we don't intend to use the light wallet?

I dont think so. My 2.0.2 wallet is working well and i can send/receive Iotas to/from lightwallet users.

I wish you said it to me. In that case, i must clarify that i want to understand true it or false by reading technical literature. I would be very glad if someone could help me with my request  Smiley

IOTA and Byteball are apple and orange, no comparability.
