This past September 2015 I visited the IoT congress in Barcelona (http://www.iotsworldcongress.com/en/home1), I work for a big company that is interested in IoT. It was pretty interesting and it is definitely something that has to grow. Nowadays there are not many applications, so building them up from the bottom integrating IOTA can make sense. I will asist to 2016 congress as well. It is in October and I'll do a report with possible synergies, I'll also talk with exhibitors about IOTA.

It is a new concept, using a directed acyclic graph (DAG) called 'Tangle' to overcome several drawbacks of the traditional blockchain concept.

This coin is not launched yet. There will be a Testnet within the next days. In addition the code and Frontnet get's audited from Sergio Demian Lerner. If both went well we expect launch of the coin until mid of February.
It's likely that the main exchanges will adopt this within some days time.
In the meantime there is a pre-market at the Nxt-Asset Exchange. But you need a ready Nxt-Client to buy there pre-Market IOTA. More information here: https://nxtforum.org/asset-exchange-general/(ann)-iota-asset/
