If community moves to river, it will not rise never.

Community must stay here, on forums.

That's true!

I agree that "specific technical discussions" might heppen away from the eyes of the public. But restricting "all" community activities to a "invite only private environment" might not help adoption.

The guys participated the Nxt IPO made 5000X profit when Nxt's price is in the peak, and 1000X even now, so what's about IOTA?

Those were different times my friend.

IPOs typically double quickly and then trickle back to initial price, followed by a slow decline to some fraction of initial offering.  Not everything can do an ETH.

actually ETH is still below its highs ... dont think we will see another 'NXT' offering.  Only if real world adoption begins to happen.

That tutorial was written for Iota-0.0.1, back then then wasn't much of a console or anything, thats why its not in the tutorial, 0.0.1 was just to see if poeple could run it and get them to exchange IP's for meshnet.

current version is 0.3.0 and includes more functionality and genesis tangle, you should really ask on ryver If you have any questions and people there will get you up and running,

If you are not on the river send a PM to iotatoken.

Yeah, I've been on Ryver.  I think for myself I'll wait until a little more user friendly client.

Blockchain is obsolete and has no use cases compared to IoT market and tangle tech. Everyone know it.

I'd disagree for a few use-cases.  Consider Nxt, and many other currencies, that have ledgers with assets and/or other sellable commodities.  Since the Tangle isn't organized in a linear manner, creating (complete) order books is likely impossible.

I want a distributed asset exchange.  Unless I'm making a few shortsighted assumptions, such use-cases will always need a system that keeps a complete record of all transactions, which is distributed to all nodes.

However, a DAG such as tangle only needs to be able to trace a transaction-chain back to genesis to verify a transaction.  Many cryptocurrency use-cases will work well in this environment and should benefit from the speed of the network.

Sorry guys if i can't help in this test stage,i have tryed to setup a node also with the tutorial but it's a too skilled task for me.

i hope your test are going well! Grin

Yes, I think it would be nice to have a better tutorial for getting things up and running (on Windows) on testnet.  I think my client is up but I have no idea what the Console should look like when it's operating.  Screen shots would be nice, and instructions on using the console would be nice as well.

Edit, sorry I used the word "nice" way too much in that post.

@carajillu:
Great news, WOW! Many big companies ("diamond" and "silver" sponsors) are represented.
This means such as IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Vodafone, Bosch, HP, Deutsche Telekom are interested.
Awesome!

Hehe, well in fact I am currently working for one of them  Roll Eyes
