I made a mistake. I bought IOTA with JINN from my NXT account, but put my newly created IOTA address in the form on the website. Then the website showed me an amount of BTC to send. Then I sent the same IOTA address via my NXT account to the IOTA crowdsale NXT account. Is this O.K.? Will I get my IOTA tokens on the address or should I create a new address?

So what is next in the marketing phase?

I don't know about marketing, but we are currently waiting news about gui front-end ?

When will IOTA be listed on exchange?
in the words of the developers, the coin sold after launch, the exchanges, the launch is scheduled for January, but rather, at the end of January, to wait, but with patience, though, but the processing to generate interest
interesting the lack of the usual composite is inherent in bitcoin, but the blockchain is missing, yet other changes, very interested

Indeed, but it's both.
Andreessen-Horowitz has already poured tens of millions into Bitcoin and stated publicly that they will invest further hundreds of millions in the coming years toward bitcoin/blockchain start-ups. They're on my list of people to contact re: IOTA, given that they got a position in blockchain oriented projects, there is bound to be overlap.

True. He is probably the kind of people who can understand Jinn and Iota very well and are able to help/advice on building the right business model in the mean time.

I think people like Marc Andreessen should be interested in Jinn and companies like Samsara could be interested in Iota.  Smiley

Interesting article with Marc Andreessen's thoughts on IoT:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/internet/12050185/Marc-Andreessen-In-20-years-every-physical-item-will-have-a-chip-implanted-in-it.html

"The idea that we have a single piece of glowing display is too limiting. By then, every table, every wall, every surface will have a screen or can project," he told the Telegraph. "Hypothetically you walk upto a wall, sit at a table and [talk to] an earpiece or eyeglasses to make a call. The term is ambient or ubiquitous computing."

How far ahead are we at this stage? We are launching soon, and the others? Still in white paper stage?
Thx,

The page45 of the PowerPont mentions what is still missing for their POC -

Quote
What else is still missing?
Fees and minting – we have a scheme
Efficient implementations
SPV  (w/ extra validation rules) To enable light clients, sidechains, etc.
More details about difficulty adjustments

Would be neat to find how to implement fees and minting. We haven't found a scheme that could work.

The paper was presented at Scaling bitcoin in English. Probably easy to find on youtube but I don't have a link. Though from my recollection of the talk, the slides pretty much cover it.

Bitcoin and other blockchain-based crypto-currencies do not easily scale to process a high throughput of transactions, or to quickly approve individual transactions. When block creation rates and block sizes are accelerated, networking delays cause many conflicts to occur and the security of the protocol quickly degrades.

We present a new "chainless'' protocol for the consensus core of crypto-currencies that remains secure even when delays are substantial. During the talk, we will present various attacks and naive attempts to solve them that slowly develop and lead to our current approach.
Much like IOTA.

What's the exact name for this chainless protocol, dag?

The comment section has a link to the video of the event. The lecture is in Hebrew though : https://youtu.be/xbEaNSIv00U

But the slides are in English:  http://bitcoil.co.il/files/Bitcoin_meetup_Chainless.pptx

Really interesting, they talk about DAG too!

So in different places of the world the idea of DAG start to appear at the end of 2015.

It's extremly importand to launch iota in January - the winner takes it all.
