This year will be crucial for BTC in terms of regulation because the popularity of bitcoin increased rapidly and much attention was brought to the whole blockchain technology.
Governments will do their best when trying to control this anonymous source of money and this will definitely affect BTC price.
I just hope that these attempts will not lead to bitcoin getting back to $1,000 in the nearest several months..

I think 2017 was one of the most crucial year for Bitcoin and 2018 has turned out to be a bear year for the Bitcoin market. Also the most crucial years were the starting years of Bitcoin and now Bitcoin has already established itself and there is nothing to worry about. What we are seeing now is just normal market cycles.

I think because of the big competition the next years will be difficult for the market. It will fluctuate very much. Giants will compete with small coins, due to rapid development. But the future will still be by the crypto.

personally me and my friends, more interested in small coins. because when we invest in a cheap little coin, we will get more profit. although slightly increased.

Every moment is crucial in this industry. But I agree that this year will be time where big things will happen. Yeah, I believe 2018 is kinda crucial stage for bitcoin. It started to go down when 2018 came. Compared to last year I can say that this year is a big declination of bitcoin value. The problem at the minute is everyone is waiting to see if this really is the bottoms or it has further to go. People are fearful of the bull trap, it's a game to big players they buy, move market and then dump higher price catching the new naive crypto traders out who sell in a panic then buy them back cheaper.

If only bitcoin hasn't reached the 20K USD last year before it falls down as deep as 5K USD mark this year, no one would've ever think how bad bitcoin has fallen. It declined almost 75% of its all time high but i don't think bitcoin will not going to recover again and with the remaining months left, i am certain that something good is due to happen for bitcoin.

We already surpass half of the year and bitcoin shows major correction with in this entire period and even until now it is still consolidating to its current price even though market doesn't look good for the past 6months I'm confident at the end of 2018 bitcoin may hit another all time high.

I am becoming more and more confident in Ethereum because of that, because while bitcoin loses $2,000 it has lost around $150 in general. So maybe it would take the first place in 2019
