cryptos are gradually becoming mainstream with the lead of bitcoin. but there are so many factors for this to be totally mainstreaam like government accepting cryptos.
I think it will go to the mainstream, legalized across countries, It is important to know that all market participants are broker, specially trained. The market follows their laws.
I think, because in 2018 bitcoin has dropped very drastically from the beginning of the year to mid-year and this can also trigger a very drastic decline or increase at the end of the year which bicoin very far down to 50%, I also think that ditahun This 2018 investors are very disappointed with the decline in this bitcoin itself
it is called mainstream "adoption" and likewise take time. it is not something that can happen over night so you can wake up one morning and see bitcoin has hit "mainstream".
the movement started about 2 years ago and it has been ongoing ever since. in fact bitcoin is slowly being adopted everywhere. mostly silently by the smart people with smart money. Thanks #CMIIW

I guess it will take more time.When in december,bitcoin reach the new ATH,the impact is not so great that affect the public opinion.While there're some people that start to invest because of that,but it's not enough to make crypto become mainstream in the masses.
we cannot speculate bitcoin until we cannot see. wayback last quarter of 2017 bitcoin price was very high this setuation we can not say that crypto is the mainstream already. last year is the year of crypto because of the higher price of bitcoin. this year lets wait and hope that price will bubble up also this last quarter.
2018? I don't think that we can go mainstream right now because of too much regulations going on around the world. Government as constantly at looking ways for people not to go to crypto so I doubt that it will happen this year. But I believe that we can go mainstream, but not this year though. Maybe it will take another 5 - 10 years before we can see people from all over places using their bitcoin as some mode of online payment or buying stuff in the internet thru bitcoin. Right now its not happening.
Yes, I agree with that. 2018 is not a year for crypto goes mainstream. Because of many regulation that are not legal in the other other country. There are also many government that are anti of bitcoin. There are also many things to be fix in the cryptoworld. So that it is easy to use in many transaction. Also in this year, there are many ICO project that are not successful in their campaign. 
Like someone said in one reply, it is difficult to predict what will happend in crypto world. But I think it won't go mainstream in 2018. In fact, crypto was more popular in 2017. I do not link it for price, but many people do. But when it comes to future, maybe 3, 5 or more years, I think it have bright future.

I agree if 2018 cryptocurrency and blockchain will become mainstream, and this should happen because now many people will know cryptocurrency and blockchain. So, in my opinion there is no problem everyone will know, even that is the best way to make the price of cryptocurrency increase and the response of each country that prohibits cryptocurrency will be reduced.

I still believe that bitcoin will have a bull run on this coming next few months even if it is now experiencing a huge dip. I believe it will really rise soon and I think it will have enoughf time because year 2018 is still have more moths and it will be more interesting this coming few months so let us wait and make believe on it.

No! 2018 is that year that sent so many weak hands to their early graves with so many financial expectations of lambos dashed. Always remember this... 
I do believe Bitcoin will go mainstream one day but I don’t Bitcoin is able to go mainstream within 2018. IMO, it takes a few years more for more users to adopt Bitcoin.
I really find it hard predicting correctly since the crypto market changes its price from time to time.But i have strong faith in bitcoin that it will still be a mainstream one of these days and that people have been looking forward to make it happen.So just stay cool and calm.Definitely it will come in the right time.

(Heavy sighed) 2018 is a bit grounded because bitcoin is experiencing lower hit compared with the year – 2017. To alert the market - over the international issues such as the inclusion of whales who are controlling the large bulk of bitcoin and hodl an amount significant to influence the price and affordability of it. In effect, small investors were dumping their investments with no profit but a loss; leaving bitcoin a decrease in its price which will affect the future ability of the currency.

No, its when crypto goes offline.
I think it will take a little more of a decade before Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies become mainstream. It is because that the powers right now have more fiat in their disposal to manipulate the market of crypto. And of course these are savvy investors and they don't want to lose their investments. It will become mainstream when the investors and banks already made the transition of their system in cryptocurrency. And all of these infrastructures are really difficult to transfer. It will take a long time. And I can see that the bear market will stay for quite sometime because these institutions are accumulating.
