Crypto has gone mainstream. What we should be talking about is its acceptability amongst the countries of the world and to see the growth of cryptocurrencies by the deploying of the same to solving man's teeming problems and bringing succour to humanity
It’s hard to tell the future. It can be or even not. But I think like the end of 2017 it will braust out.
Crypto will most likely go mainstream in future but I really don't see it happening in this year 2018. But whichever way or what ever time it takes, one thing is certain, the world cannot deny the enormous benefits of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.

And I just think the opposite. Peak popularity Bitcoin last winter. Then the masses learned about it and many people buy BTC for a high price. Since the beginning of this year, there has been a big decline in the market, many people lost money. Popularity and demand decreased. Big "Bosses" push the price down and buy bitcoins from the population. Soon when all laws will be adopted and everything will be ligalized, the blockchain and crypto-currencies will completely enter our life. Then it willis be year when crypto goes mainstream. I think it will not be earlier than 2020.

Not to say limiting myself to 1 year. 2018 will definitely go down in history as the year during which a new formation was formed on bitcoin and blockchain. Many States decide the fate of bitcoin in their state. Many people use blockchain in the environment of ordinary people. that's great. 
It good to be optimistic about something ones like but we also need to face the reality sometime because things happen at a point of time and I believe is too early for block chain to go mainstream cause some people are yet to understand the project. Besides, an analyzer which don't understand the block chain project once said block chain will be obsolete and that's because he don't know the potential of the project, so there are people like that which need to understand block chain before it could go mainstream.
In my perception, we need to do a massive promotion of cryptos regardless of what non believers may think. Cryptos are good, they are giving the unemployed a means of earning living. For cryptos to go mainstream we need to gather forces and prove our critics wrong.
I dont think so cause many people dont know yet what is crypto and what is block chain. and if you say bitcoin they will say its invesment scam in our country that why i dont think that 2018 is they year of crypto goes mainstream block chain need more time

With many good news that spreading around this year can be the deciding year for investors and traders to settle thier position, mainstream exposures will bring big factors as newcomers will be more interested to invest and use this new system for payments platform.

I think it will go to the mainstream, legalized across countries, It is important to know that all market participants are broker, specially trained. The market follows their laws.
Actually cryptocurrency is already in the mainstream around the world because of some fake news, hacking incident, and scammers being wasted. 2018 is quiet not a good year for cryptocurrnecy because of market manipulation, we still have 6mos to improve this market again, hoping for a great year end market.
