Today it was mentioned that Ethereum price continues to go down and lessened additionally for 10 per cent, so it makes eth investors to be a little worried and fearful.

I think Bitcoin and other crypto become well known in 2018 but it still can't be said as mainstream because there are still some rejection and the fame still not too big, it will need more big companies to support or the approval from the government

The truth is that the anticipation for crypto to go mainstream increases as time goes on. In fact there are skeptis who would have nothing to do with crypto unless it goes mainstream. Is 2018 that year when blockchain crypto goes mainstream?

I certainly do hope so. There is a lot of news going round that Crypto will soon be traded on the stock exchange. If that happens then 2018 will be the turning point for mainstream crypto

We can all agree on one fact that because the bitcoin's supply is known to be 21M, it's value gets to very high fiigures. However, there is a ripple with its unlmited availability also.

yes of course, it seems now that many people are more likely to use other coins than bitcoin. that's what caused bitcoin to drop dramatically this year

Of course. The crypto goes mainstream in 2018, because Block chain technology has gradually become mainstream. It is the future technology. It will be needed in the future.

Now, more and more countries have attached importance to block chain technology, and there are some opposition to bitcoin, but I think bitcoin will soon be accepted and used by more people.

Well, I think the year 2017 was the year when cryptocurrencies and blockchain went mainstream and it will gain momentum over the years. We have seen exponential growth in the user base during the price rally in the last quarter of the last year and it grabbed the global attention towards it. Yes, the correction took place soon after that but I believe that it will help Bitcoin to stabilize and grow further. There are some people who will keep using fiat currencies irrespective of the benefits of using crypto.

It is true that 2018 is a mainstream year, with a very long decline in bitcoin prices and but bitcoin already has a high price and I think it will increase again by the end of this year.

Yeah Making Crypo go mainstream may just be they way to keep it alive.
Bitcoin is mainstream and it use to move all the time, high adoption of bitcoin is really a sign it will become highest currency and well expensive currency, I think the main reason behind the mainstream is acceptance of blockchain by the every almost every well-known companies and it will be higher than this for few more years as adoption by every company which is switching to blockchain as payment build as protection wall around bitcoin.

By 2017 it has been a remarkable year for the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin is becoming mainstream as an investment, Bitcoin is very much in use in the initial coin supply market (ICO) and by the end it looks like everyone wants to invest in crypto money. but seen in 2018 will bring new opportunities as well as challenges for kriptocurrency investors.
Hopefully my answer can help.

Some have acknowledged that blockchain technology can be used to be used as a very efficient data storage even many companies are adopting this blockchain technology to be used as their company's work system in processing and storing data. Blockchain technology is not only used as a system of digital currency but there are still many things that can be used this technology for various things other than digital currency.

Now that companies such as Walmart and Amazon are incorporating Blockchain tech into their business operations, are they leading the way for a trend of retail companies to the Blockchain to make shopping easier? Maybe even introducing their own retail coins to pay for things?

I think they are just aligning themselves to disruption that will soon hit the digital world and if you ask me, that may be a really smart move.

That's certainly the myth they want you to believe, heh.  In practice, they aren't making shopping easier for anyone but themselves.  They're just reducing their level of bureaucracy and paperwork, along with other administrative costs, by getting software to do the record-keeping for them in real-time.  That's all these companies care about.  Chances are, you won't even be able to see their blockchain.  The average consumer won't notice any difference at all.

The average employee, however, might well notice if their role entails administrative or auditing duties.  They're soon to be out of a job, sadly.

I guess this could happen since 2017 was the year btc first came in focus of mass media due to its unexpected price exploding..
