My opinion is to avoid investing in those new altcoin projects showing up these days. Most of them are probably a scam. Not all new altcoins are scam but you must do deep research about their project.
I prefer investing top 10 of the altcoin in coinmarketcap rankings because their project has always some updates.

This is nothing new. The problem started years ago when the corrupt coinmarketcap site listed the xrp scam. It opened the floodgate to the situation which is now. There was a lot of uproar at the time but bribes are a reality. Dont expect any change soon.

Investing to Altcoins especially the new one would be very risky but if you managed to find some good project that is good for long term investment I think you will earn good profit out of it it's just a matter of luck for new projects.
Altcoin investing in my opinion is safe, if you look for it in the Top Altcoins, the best with a lot of trading volume, for example ETH and LINK, and if you buy or invest in new altcoins that are not necessarily good, you better leave and don't invest
Well, it all depends on how you view it and level of expertise also matters in all of these things. As for me, altcoin is safe for investment, just know the in and out of the project you are buying into their token/coin.
I guess you don't understand that the pitfall in term of investment in newly/startup project is high and knowing the in and out of the project doesn't mean the project will be successful or the project teams won't scam their investors because are done in different ways.You should ask yourself questions like: What problem(s) does this project solve? Is it potential at all?
