Bitcoin is not going to die, because technology will always pave the way for new ideas. I think there is competition also emerging from the new digital coin that also may be hard to compete with in the future but did not die.
Well, there is no obvious connetion between you statement and argument. Technology might pave the way for something totally different from bitcoin and something that would kill it, don't you think? And my thought is that there will definitely come the time for btc death, because nothing lasts forever and everything in our world requires some additional support to exist. If people wouldn't need btc it won't be there anymore.

Only if bitcoin fails to adopt to the new technology and need. But bitcoin have solid devs and community support. So i think bitcoin will not die because of technological advancement. It may die because a new crypto is better but that there is no crypto better than bitcoin yet.

Bitcoin is far from dead, and even though this has been said a thousand times on this forum by a ton of different people, there is still a lot of life and there are next to no signs of Bitcoin being on the verge of ending up dead. We're hitting values he haven't seen for a very long time, we are seeing more and more countries, companies and others starting to accept bitcoin, and the market is strong at first glance. So far things are definitely looking up.

Others altcoins are for whales play the pump and dump, i remember eth has daily volume of 40000 bitcoins, and those hasnt made it better then bitcoin, whales made huge interest into those game. Bitcoin wont die as it has some issues to handle over time, and the crypto community does support bitcoin.

Not sure about the crypto community supporting bitcoin or not, but i'm sure so far there was no other crypto currency made that could stand against bitcoin as a competition, no matter where there price reaches or whatever investments are done on them, but at the end of the day we know that those investments are done just with the purpose of earning more bitcoins.
Well i think many crypto communit are almost supporting bitcoin they are just killing bitcoin for their marketing strategy or like other said whales.
That can affect the value of bitcoin if someone can start killing bitcoin right now he will try to invest a large amount in bitcoin that can increase the value and then those whales will make many thread in many forums not only here in our forum almost all forum worldwide that has crypto currency section and saying that bitcoin will be crash soon because of "reason" that can affect for bitcoin.. and then they are selling bitcoin and the next it can be panic sell soon..
This is what i heard when there is a group of whales i heard in other forum..

Saying that bitcoin is dead today, is like saying internet was going to disappear ten years ago. It's impossible now, it's not a matter of trend anymore. The beginning of the revolution is finished, we are into it. Then with the ethereum given more value to the blockchain... I only hope that the price will get to the 10000$ soon hahaha  Grin

That's the reason why bitcoin is not going to die because we are supporting it and majority of the companies do prefer to accept bitcoin.

Because it has now built a good feed back to the people and companies who accepted it and it is going to be somehow confusing.

If another alt coin will enter the scene and replace bitcoin on its position as the most being used crypto currency.

Bitcoin is not going to die, because technology will always pave the way for new ideas. I think there is competition also emerging from the new digital coin that also may be hard to compete with in the future but did not die.

I really don't see any competition coming for bitcoin so far, maybe in coming time there will be a coin that might challenge bitcoin but that is likely to happen as bitcoin is already quite old and it has gained a quite large community and the trust of people as well so i don't think until bitcoin lives the community would turn their faces from it.

As technology is keep on innovating we can't deny that there is a possibility that another coin or digital money will make bitcoins life tough for having a good competition with its service. But upon seeing and estimating the community of bitcoin, people who are using bitcoin the range is quite wider now and if there is another invention to make bitcoin dead. It will be also tough.
There is but though there's a better technology people will not transfer to others as long as the system is safe, do you think whales will support other crypto currencies when they are making consistent money in bitcoin.

I increasingly find information about that Bitcoin has to die. Many go with Bitcoins to other alternative cryptocurrency. Invest in something else. To be honest I hate this situation. I believe in Bitcoin and I think he will live

There are no alternative cryptocurrencies around. If you calculate the combined market cap of all these altcoins (there are around 2,000 of them), it is still less than 10% of that of Bitcoin. And almost all of them are either copycats, or pump-and-dump types. Still, there is no doubt that these altcoins are leaching a considerable number of users away from Bitcoin.
Yeah, bitcoin can't compare to any alternative coin because simply the market prefer to invest on bitcoin as the first digital currency and already have good track record, pass through obstacles and problems lead bitcoin as today it is.

Back from the Dead!

No, it isnt, it has hit the highest in a few months, now one bitcoin is worth exactly 51187.44 Indian Rupee at the time of posting this. Lowest in two months I saw, it was about 44000 INR. Bitcoin is not dead in short, the price fell a bit, and now its going high up again. Just wait for the halving, and when it comes, you will see bitcoin do wonders. Wink Smiley

I think it is.

Bitcoin use adoption has stalled. Media interest has dissipated. Prices have only slowly continued to decline for a long time now. Bitcoin securities have always been and still are a complete mess, with a near 100% failure (scam/fraud/incompetence/etc) rate. Mining has been concentrated in the hands of a few giant players, eliminating much of the advantage/security/democracy of thousands of individuals being the money processors. Alternative forms of online payment with US dollars (and other fiat currencies) are now cheaper, faster, and more secure than bitcoin (and of course far more usable to buy/sell real goods/services), eliminating any of its advantages as a payment system. Continued decline of bitcoin and strength in fiat currencies has put the lie to the idea of bitcoin as a store of value; there are far better more reliable hedges against inflation. Meanwhile the real economy is firing on all cylinders, stock markets are at all time highs, corporate earnings are higher than ever, unemployment is low, etc. Even amid the boom, no one cares about bitcoin any more. Bitcoin was a fad that lasted a few years, and is now on its way to being forgotten.

Thoughts? Anyone seriously disagree with this conclusion?

Yes, it's as dead as a honey badger....

No the bitcoin is not dead and its also not a bad currency, people are just trying to influence the bitcoin market by saying this.
Its pretty sick that people are trying this..

lmao . it seems some people are trying hard of making people worried about the current status of bitcoin lately and these sick bastards are taking it seriously, well just because bitcoin's price suddenly falls down doesn't mean it is going to die and as we can see right bitcoin looks very good and there's no signs of it almost gone. Grin

Let's agree that when the price goes down a few hundred dollars without a major rebound, as it happened after the halving and prolonged till after the Bitfinex hack in early August, people get seriously worried whether this is for real and if Bitcoin might not recover after that. It is not so much about Bitcoin actually dying without any further reservations as its price collapsing to prehistoric levels and remaining there for good. For the majority of people such course of events would mean exactly that...

Namely, that Bitcoin has already kicked the bucket
