I increasingly find information about that Bitcoin has to die. Many go with Bitcoins to other alternative cryptocurrency. Invest in something else. To be honest I hate this situation. I believe in Bitcoin and I think he will live

There are no alternative cryptocurrencies around. If you calculate the combined market cap of all these altcoins (there are around 2,000 of them), it is still less than 10% of that of Bitcoin. And almost all of them are either copycats, or pump-and-dump types. Still, there is no doubt that these altcoins are leaching a considerable number of users away from Bitcoin.

I don't think that the bitcoins are dead, we had alternative currencies before also. It is too early to assume the failure or success of BitCoin. The appeal of Bitcoin is finding a workaround global currency, not because Bitcoin was a better medium of exchange. We have to wait and watch for sometime, there is a bright future for bitcoins and I hope Bitcoin will never ever dead.

Well the price of bitcoin is falling but it doesn't mean that bitcoins is going to be dead that is just normal as it is a decentralized currency and doesn't have a stable price. The people who are seeing that bitcoin is dead, they are the ones who are falling their investments because of bitcoin so instead of liking bitcoins, they are hating it.
Yes exactly due bitcoin will dominate online gambling; it is superior to all other forms of online payments. This is at least a $50+ billion industry. The current bitcoin market is under $7 billion. There is plenty of room for growth so bitcoin will never die.

No the bitcoin is not dead and its also not a bad currency, people are just trying to influence the bitcoin market by saying this.
Its pretty sick that people are trying this..

I actually agree with you. Many people have said that bitcoin is dead, they are actually saying it even years ago but bitcoin is still kicking and has survived many years already. So this statement that bitcoin is dead is a false statement and only delivered by people who doesnt understand clearly what and how bitcoin operates as a currency. But let us help them to understand bitcoin so they can also enjoy the benefits we have from bitcoin.

The market is sliding down a bit because of the incredibly rise from what, $610(?) to what was $640, and now the market is changing back up and the value is dipping due to the market showing its bottom line.

I think it's normal price fluctuations on Bitcoin. And to say that Bitcoin is still very early. Bitcoin is only beginning to exist

The price increased incredibly rapidly during the past few weeks, and it doesn;t surprise me at all that the value is going down to partially correct for an unprecedented and relatively unbacked spike. I don't think we'll dip below where we were before, however we'll like end up close to where we started from.

The collapse of Bitcoin have announced 89 times. The cryptocurrency was called a pyramid scheme and failed experiment. Media urged users to forget about Bitcoin, and developers - look for more promising projects. But we should not rush to conclusions. On the other hand, the dot-com bubble created opportunities for the strongest companies that were subsequently created.
Bitcoin exists seven years. Now cryptocurrency goes through the same problems faced at the time of information technology. But in many respects even in their 7 bitcoins are still no closer to a date, having a value of 13 October 1994 for the development of the Internet. it doesn't stop investors to invest incredible amounts (perhaps too large) in this area. Prospects are excellent,I read a lot about it,I decided to try to invest.More I cannot say-time will tell!

I think it is.

Bitcoin use adoption has stalled. Media interest has dissipated. Prices have only slowly continued to decline for a long time now. Bitcoin securities have always been and still are a complete mess, with a near 100% failure (scam/fraud/incompetence/etc) rate. Mining has been concentrated in the hands of a few giant players, eliminating much of the advantage/security/democracy of thousands of individuals being the money processors. Alternative forms of online payment with US dollars (and other fiat currencies) are now cheaper, faster, and more secure than bitcoin (and of course far more usable to buy/sell real goods/services), eliminating any of its advantages as a payment system. Continued decline of bitcoin and strength in fiat currencies has put the lie to the idea of bitcoin as a store of value; there are far better more reliable hedges against inflation. Meanwhile the real economy is firing on all cylinders, stock markets are at all time highs, corporate earnings are higher than ever, unemployment is low, etc. Even amid the boom, no one cares about bitcoin any more. Bitcoin was a fad that lasted a few years, and is now on its way to being forgotten.

Thoughts? Anyone seriously disagree with this conclusion?

Might be right in some ways but there are a lot of things in this world that is unpredictable and our economy unstable might change any time. We cant say bitcoins will go extinct in the future. As far as I know it is doing pretty good today.

It cant be totally gone because it is much needed today I guess in the future this is what people will be using it is convenient to use.

The Russian legal system is notorious for the severity of its laws and the optionality of their implementation, enforcement, and compliance...

So this "initiative" is mostly irrelevant (whether enacted or not)

I hope you are right. At least Putin is pro-cryptocurrency, and russian bankers also hoard bitcoin.

There might be a few bureocrats there that dont like bitcoin, but it looks like the big powers there like it.

I don't know if this draft will be accepted, but I can assure you that no one engaged in Bitcoin business of any sorts in Russia will do anything just because of this law, even if it is enacted

Bitcoin can still be killed if the right events took place, even if that seems unlikely. It is still possible.

It is totally impossible. Only if it will be an extinction of the human kind. Or a world war that will evaporate all the technology and everything will begin from the beginning. Bitcoin is the first product or application of one technology which promise to disrupt must of the actual technologies. This technology is real and not a wonder. There are already various its applications which are propagated every day more. This technology will protect like the first child its first product: bitcoin. So no dead for bitcoin. Never.

I also don't think that Bitcoin can be killed. In fact, whoever tries to kill it may actually be contributing to its strength and robustness. But this doesn't in the least mean that it can't peacefully (or agonizingly) die on its own due to its inherent problems and inefficiencies...

What do you think about this news deisik? Will it kill bitcoin or will it boost bitcoin adoption globally?
