No bitcoin is not losing its popularity impact it become more popular nowadays. Maybe some people are saying that it is losing its popularity because of the new crypo currencies that are arising. But all those new crypo surely just copy or alike their systems in bitcoin. And that strategy will just make bitcoin more popular because we all know that it will always go back to the origins. Bitcoins popularity will never lose because more and more people are now using this. Also some people are depending on this because their financial needs or income are based on bitcoins. By this situation those people will surely do their best for bitcoin not to fall down and losses its popularity.
I think maybe today is still very popular among the people. Yes a dirty fish can spoil the whole sea, so if people who become needy of money or maybe lack of money they try to sell their bitcoin ion low price. For me it isn't. Just because bitcoin is losing value does not necessarily mean that it has lost popularity or fame. The current price drops are caused by high volatility rates, not by a lost of popularity. Moreover, as of now bitcoin has been increasing in its value for the past weeks and is expected to happen for a couple of months before settling down.
