I heard about a guy in Moscow, who jumped out of the window, because he lost all his money in crypto investments and trading. So, do we have a new free heroin here? Is it possible to get addicted to crypto?
Wowww i'm so sad to hear that ..
I personally admit that the world of crypto is very fun and makes us have many advantages and addictions are very felt by me.
but on the one hand we must always be aware that money is not everything so we will not fall into that kind of thing.

Yes, it is addiction and pretty big one in my opinion. It is not like gambling on roulette table for example, but you still have the trill and checking and rechecking what is going on every minute. Making plans for events that may not ever occur. And it is occupying your mind all the time Smiley

My opinion is the same. It is very big addiction. You cannot consantrate on any other things. You keep on checking your mobile phone or computer to see what is going on the market. what is the current price. it is  too bad lol

People love money. And if they get money easily, then they have a dependency. Many newcomers think that it is easy to make profit from crypto currency and they have a passion and dependence

Absolutely is can be an addiction. If you find yourself constantly reading posts, commenting on posts, buying and selling and of course checking prices 12,537 times before midday, then i'd say you're addicted Smiley

Looking at the prices of anything you are invested in, stocks or crypto or whatever, will release a ton of dopamine when they spike, so yes trading can be addictive. It affects different people in different ways though depending on their predisposition.

Yeah I agree with you, pretty sure every person enjoys thst dopamine hit when they see their coins rise, I know I do. I think I might be a little addicted to that aspect caus I check my portfolio 10 to 20 times a day, I also do it when im bored. Mind you i am a long term holder and don't day or short term trade,if I did do that I'd be too consumed by it all i think

I believe it is possible to get addicted to anything, especially if you're predisposed to an addictive behavior.
I've heard similar stories about people shooting out their brains in Las Vegas casinos.

And crypto trading sometimes does remind me of a casino. 3-months old projects getting insane amounts of money is not normal at all. People invest their money carelessly, craving to get instant profit - the faster the better, and not thinking about the future. We're blowing a bubble and when it's going to burst a lot of people gonna lose everything they have.

use your logic when trading.
do not use your emotions otherwise you will not be able to control yourself. that's where there can be addictions that you can not control again and you can be crazy because of it.

And you try. And come to Moscow. You'll see that bears and balalaika wander through the streets and everyone goes drunk in an embrace with bears. And to that guy, probably came squirrel and offered to jump out with her from the window, and the guy was not so adroit. Maybe not a Muscovite at all, but some kind of foreigner who does not know how to drink. And in general, a new year in the yard. How not to drink?

As far as I can judge, having an idea of the essence of human psychology thanks to one of its formations, a person is either weak in his emotions or strong.  Weak in spirit drop their hands and with a lesser problem.  Strong are able to survive in any conditions.  For me, crypto is one of the ways to replenish the family budget well and only.  And understanding that this is not a panacea for lack of money, but only an opportunity to earn, I will never get killed if this source of income disappears.  The world is full of opportunities, but weaklings are everywhere.

How could you say trading is an addiction? Trading is a work, you need to work, to research to make money there. Its definitely not a place to gamble, even though you could. But based on your info which someone is suicidal because of losing in trading, it looks like that guy is a complete dumbfck. He was using all money he got because of FOMO I suppose. Panic buying and panic selling is surely two things to avoid by newbie

I don't think you can get addicted to crypto, but you can get addicted to trading, and that is bad. Never ever invest more than you can lose!
