When we do talk about on when a coin will die then its really hard to point out fingers or do make out some conclusion and if we do just simply based up
on whats the current standing of ETH into the market then you would normally say that it is impossible for the moment.
We can exactly pinpoint and come to a conclusion by monitoring the progress of each coin and how the developers are working in sorting out the issues and if you are seeing a dead silence from the development team then you can reach a conclusion that the project is dead Wink.

We cant deny that erc20 or smart contract feature is one of the most revolutionary projects that we had which really have some actual utility or real life usage
this is why its hard to believe that it would be vanished out into this market.
ETH is not the only coin that provides the smart contract feature and there are ton of other projects and the only difference is the popularity.

ETH 2.0 will be implemented soon and with the way the price is rising the momentum is in its path right now.

ETH is second to BTC and it's dying isn't possible.
Dying is always possible, why not? But it seems not likely to happen now or in the near future because ETH is even getting strong. Ethereum is the king of altcoin and it really shows that it leads others to improve the values. However, I'm not against the fact that nothing lasts forever, including ETH.  Wink
No, dying is impossible for Bitcoin and for Ethereum too, Hey we are in the crypto world, not the human world, You say "the fact that nothing lasts forever" Yes for real life, how possible that these facts you use also in the crypto world? Are you kidding?

We meet the fact that the Ethereum gas fee is so high, and I think this is a big problem but doesn't mean Ethereum will dying or die. I believe there will be a solution to this problem.

ETH is currently waxing strong and I believe the high fees will gradually reduce as it's currently doing.
Will the fees be lower?
Honestly, I doubt it. If there is no certain way planned by Vitalik to reduce it, it won't be lower.

I am a long term supporter  of Ethereum and  know that it is the most trusted network to create smart contracts but the kind of Huge fees for withdrawal and swapping of tokens, we have to nowadays due to slow network or congestion , is going to make it unpopular coin in coming months and other networks like, Binance, EOS, Polka Dot may take its place . The issue with Ethereum is that its developers are trying to scale running Blockchain which is like repairing a car while driving.
Assuming that Ethereum is going to die because of high fees and congestion is the same as the expectation for bitcoin to die and be replaced by another altcoin because of the same reason.

But in 2017, the same as bitcoin, Ethereum got high fees and congestion too in transaction but it did survived. And as 2.0 approaches, this has been said to solve those problems.

I don't think due to the high fees and the long queue on ethereum network these days would die or become have zero demands in the markets, we would see ethereum 2.0 launch soon and I just hope it could resolve the issues in the current network (includes the high fees).

With the current state of Ethereum having congested network due to high transactions on its blockchain, i do agree the gas fees is expensive but it was more ridiculous some weeks ago. However, with Testnet going as plan and ETH 2.0 launching in the future, hoping this problem will be solved. Ethereum is by far one of the best or should i say King of Altcoin.

As an investor, I was surprised to see the high transaction fees from Ethereum, but if I analyze it doesn't make Ethereum demand less.
Moreover, the price of Ethereum continues to rise, making people continue to use Ethereum even though Ethereum transaction fees are high.
So there's no way Ethereum is going to die, that's a guess that won't happen. So there is no need to panic about the increase in Ethereum
transaction fees, I'm sure the Ethereum development team will solve this soon.

Note that ethereum will die but you will see ether-2.0 as bitcoin that's mean eth is the next btc. Obviously polkadot will take place aside eth By having too many chains.

You know dude eth have a huge market cap & i m trading for 2 years in many exchanges. And I think ethereum long holding support will be at same. Look at now it's pumping again to the moon.

Id rather say that most of altcoins below are typically shit or arent really worth of.

I'm also a big fan of Ethereum, i just want to point out something for you, those high transaction fees are caused by too many transactions going on at that moment on the Ethereum Network, when the network is over loaded that's when you will see insane transaction fees, and you talked about Ethereum becoming unpopular just because of high transaction fees?, that's impossible, so I don't agree to that part, there's no way Ethereum will become unpopular, it's been up the chart for years, undoubtedly one of the best altcoin , besides the ETH2.0 will soon be out, let's just hope it will solve all the existing problems on the Ethereum Network.

Ethereum is another strong coin after bitcoin. it is only next to btc in marketcap, is also a strong coin with solid fundamental ,with a large team of developers. I don't expect it to die, i still dont know the alts that will surpass eth in use cases

No, these are temporary issues which will be fixed shortly and I don't think Ethereum will ever die or become unpopular anytime sooner because it's the most preferred platform for new projects and we might not find a replacement for Ethereum as there were many competitors like TRX and ADA who couldn't even come anywhere closer to Ethereum.

I can feel your pain and literally i have skipped to transact or swap after seeing high transaction fee per transaction but at the same time i am optimistic as well that ethereum will come up high quality and long lasting solutions for scalability so that network will be ready to host and hold the load of mass adoption for coming years without any congestion.

As long as there are no really huge issues occuring ETH will not die, no way.
Making huge changes to a running blockchain is not easy and ETH is working on that for quite some time now, but it seems now that the transition will be finished in the near future, as long as there are no huge bugs showing up, which can always happen of course.
The ETH source code is probably one of the most checked and observed ones on the internet, therefore i don't think that it contains any major bug like the one who caused the DAO project to fail.

Asking if Ethereum is going to die is just like asking the same thing with Bitcoin. Ethereum has been there side by side with Bitcoin, as long as bitcoin is there, Ethereum will never die. I mean, as you can see in the bullish market now, Ethereum also is getting hyped and pumping, so I do not think that it will die.

Why, why exactly do you think that etheruem can't fix this and/or when there is a bit of less people the problem solves itself? I mean the options here are either ethereum will fix this issue and transaction fee's will be cheaper, or there will be some people who move to other coins and because of that there will be less people on ethereum network which will make the transaction prices cheaper again? Isn't that obvious to everyone?

Am I the only person who can see that? Obviously ethereum will not die, could it be less popular? Of course it could be, but it is not going to die, it is not going to lose its second place neither, it is just going to be either a bit lower in marketcap but still second rank, or it will continue to be awesome and continue to go up.

Ethereum death was signed after the idea of 2.0 came about. Not to mention using gas, that was an extremely bad idea.
Plus there are much, much better options like x42 Protocol, there is no reason to use a platform with fees.

Ethereum is not going to die or not going anywhere, Ethereum is the first blockchain that is easily used by newbie and on the other hand other projects are bit different.
I hate one thing about ethereum and that is high gas fee, I hope developers are working behind the scene and this problem will resolved very soon and Ethereum now showing green sign and trying to catch bull run.
