I am a long term supporter  of Ethereum and  know that it is the most trusted network to create smart contracts but the kind of Huge fees for withdrawal and swapping of tokens, we have to nowadays due to slow network or congestion , is going to make it unpopular coin in coming months and other networks like, Binance, EOS, Polka Dot may take its place . The issue with Ethereum is that its developers are trying to scale running Blockchain which is like repairing a car while driving.
There is absolutely no chance of eth being dead rather it is just rising from the sleeping couch and ready to moon. More adoption, more dapps, more defi, more products, more services and more users will soon be on board after eth 2.0 is here so it is time to welcome good changes that eth is coming up with rather than criticizing it.

If the tention is about only the high transaction fee then here is actually no way because as much the coin will demandful the fee will be high. Even it's ethereum or any other.
Actually not just the fees but in general ETH is not looking promising now although it will always be relevant but I mean the use case is not as much as it was before and the DEFI bubble is certainly over or at least slowed down to such an extent that now not many projects are being made and investors have turned away already.

I believe Polkadot is the future if you ask me but still not sure how it is going to work so keeping an eye, also don't get me wrong about ETH, I myself hold a good amount of ETH but that does not mean I will only talk positive about them even when they are doing bad. The price is good but I am concerned about the future.

Appreciate your logical and realistic  approach towards crypto currencies. This is how an Intelligent Investor should think about intrinsic and future value of any asset including crypto, not what value it holds today.. We should not fall in love with our holdings and sell them when they are overvalued.

There are a lot of Ethereum competetors wich want to replace it, but I think that`s awesome, when we have competition, sphere grows faster. Ethereum team started to work a lot on Ethereum 2.0, when many projects announced their blockchains, which are better then Ethereum nowadays. I don`t think it`s diying, but I suppose soon part of Ethereum market will be devided between eth 2.0 and some other projects. Monopoly of Bitcoin and Ethereum don`t let to continue other projects development as it could be

I think this is a problem that every cryptocurrency is having, and even if other ones you have mentioned now should get to the level that Ethereum currently sits at, they are also going to become the same thing that Ethereum is now and they will be experiencing delays and high fees as the network gets congested.

Ethereum has lots of projects being launched on its network, both the good ones and the bad ones, and they are filling up space, the network is carrying a lot, so sometimes we are going to be experiencing the same thing. It’s just Bitcoin, when the network gets congested it starts experiencing delays and fees increases too.

Ethereum has been in the cryptocurrency world for a long time and I'm not sure if Ethereum is going to die. It is one of the most innovative blockchains to date and has earned a lot of reputation since its creation. People think of Ethereum as a digital currency that can become part of our financial system.

Large fees occur due to overloaded ethereum network. and there will also be an update on ethereum 2.0 which might solve this fee problem, so i'm very sure that ethereum is far from dead

Many people have always assumed that ethereum will die, when the price drops drastically, when there are new altcoins that are on the rise and so on, when that happens people think there is another altcoin that can replace ethereum, but in fact ethereum continues growing and becoming the number 2 crypto that is the most popular today. Especially now that eth will soon launch ethereum 2.0 with various advantages offered to facilitate every transaction that occurs on the eth platform later.
My guess is that the situation should change dramatically after the Ethereum 2.0 update. It is a pity that today Ethereum is being assembled very slowly on a deposit contract, and therefore, as previously assumed, the developers will postpone the update and today a new date has already been announced on January 31, 2021. In my opinion, ETH is the best altcoin among all existing ones and even has certain advantages over Bitcoin, so we should not let it die, especially since it has real indicators of development and growth.

Until there are developers working to improve the ethereum blockchain and there are new projects coming in and creating new tokens, ethereum will stay and people will continue to support the ethereum blockchain. There are new blockchains popping up and they said "hey this is better than ethereum" but still people always trust crypto coins that has been around in this industry for a long time like bitcoin and ethereum.

People already knew that ETH have strong foundations, even there are lots of new competitors who are aiming to dethrone this project. Developers, investors and traders still value this coin, trust that being build already been established with how things are moving right
now, this project still the top next crypto and still holding the position.

If Ethereum is a new altcoin it's possible that people will abandon the platform for another but we are talking about the second best cryptocurrency in the entire crypto space, how will the project die because of surging gas fee? This is so pointless

Just use this logic and you'll be able to figure it out. Not just because of surging gas fee but the usages and  the worht of this project
are the best basis for all the traders and investors who looks in every perspectives and potentials.

Ethereum isn't the best altcoin for mouth sake, it's even better in some countries than bitcoin, it's well supported and it has strong team too, people won't quit using ethereum platform because of high gas fee so Ethereum can't die because of gas fee

ETH is very important infrastructure project with a lot of projects on it. Yes, eos for example has better tps and fees structure but do you know a lot of projects on it? Its even hard to find good hd wallet with eos (i could recommend ownr wallet) and you are talking that eos and others will overperform eth

So what exactly you were looking for, do you want to see a new coin or they should close the main ethereum and launch a completely new project from scratch? Being an established and the biggest blockchain network project they simply cannot do that otherwise market can panic that is why they decided to upgrade the same blockchain and also remember many layer 2 solutions are also available now for faster and cheaper eth transactions so personally i see no problem for eth rather im positive and bullish about ethereum.

Ethereum is just gearing up to start its biggest ever bull run ever which would be pushed by strong fundamentals in shape of revolutionary eth 2.0 launch that will solve all scalability issues as you have pointed out in your post as well so keep holding you will surely not regret in coming months.

Current transaction fee is supremely irrelevant against the long-term potential of the project. Remember that ETH is under continuous development. Indeed we have the imminent upgrade to PoS. High transaction fee is not an inherent quality of the system, it's a reflection of the current situation. ETH is still by a long long way the best and the strongest smart contract platform out there. There are newcomers that offer sparkly new features, but these haven't been battle-tested in the way that ETH has. Don't give up on ETH because of fees! There's a reason it is entrenched as the top altcoin.

Ethereum network is clogged up and it's very disappointing because of high fees with slow network it can barely process not unless putting huge gas over a transactions. That's what the common problem of ethereum now and hopefully it will fixed soon by the integration and implementation of the version Ethereum 2. Ethereum is not gonna end because it's still being used by many on smart contract creations and i doubt it will become more successful once the new version will be available.

We have less than a month and more than 400k ETH need to deposit into Ethereum staking smart contract to enter phase 2 of ETH 2.0. I don't think it's easy to achieve, and ETH 2.0 still remains a big question about its capabilities.
A lot of information is circulating if ETH 2.0 will be coming soon this year, but until now there is still no definite information whether Ethereum 2.0 will actually be launched this year or should it be delayed longer? It is true that ethereum has sent a large amount of eth into their smart contracts, but of course this is not a certainty if ethereum will be launched soon, but at least with the launch of ethereum 2.0 it can increase the speed, efficiency and scalability of the Ethereum network so that it can process more transactions .

But the minimum requirement to launch the eth2 network is 524588 ETH staked in its smartcontract. We just have few weeks remain to reach that goal. So I don't know if this condition is not met, can the eth2 mainnet behave as it would in their roadmap?
