If Facebook decides to own a cryptocurrency coin, It will receive support because as a brand name is already popular. Its ICO will be swift. It will gain trust because of the brand name. The coin whitepaper will enable further growth depending on the content. Facebook cryptocurrency coin will gain wide popularity as compared to other coins.

If they are doing this because of the issue regarding the data privacy law then this is a good move. I think Blockchain Technology is the answer to all their problems with regard to data privacy.

But if you will ask me, I will not believe in rumors. I will wait and research if Facebook really is creating their own crypto. If they do that, I have no idea what is their project all about and what will be their coin's name.

Heard a rumor that facebook  was thinking about launching their own crypto. What do you guys think about this?

Would also love your feedback on Algebraix. App that keeps your data private and pays you to watch ads. how do you think they will measure up to the advertising giants like facebook and google?
Where did you hear that "rumors". I highly doubt, they banned adverts of all ICO/cryptorelated things and if they launch their coin, it will be another explotion after fb's privacy issues.
My feedback on Algebraix isn't good. Firstly I don't want anyone to "keep" my data "private" and then, they can't beat fb or google in advertising. Just see google adsense, their CPC and etc, it's the most amazing thing for advertisers, there is no better alternative and I highly doubt anyone will pay more than google.

I don't like the idea of Facebook having ICO project in the first place aside from many people are using it, I don't like seeing some note when creating your Facebook account in 2019 that you need to drop some satoshi or BTC or Facebook Token on a certain wallet before even creating since you need to find a token holder in order to create one and some people will do overprice it when no one are willing to sell their token in the market.

Facebook coin? I had just read this article recently.
https://cryptobriefing.com/ready-for-facebook-coin/

They're planning to take the advantage of it for the 2 billion users inside their network. I don't think it is such a bad competition, but will people really utilize cryptocurrency inside a social networking site which is primarily used for communication. In their Messenger branch, the users are now capable of sending money so their goes their prototype stage or the potential stage to make up their own coin.

The only thing that bothers me always is the utilization as what I had just previously stated. I agree that Facebook is a large space for digital business where there are groups, pages, or simply people that sells their goods and services and these entities could use cryptocurrency soon but the another thing that bothers me is will the buyers use cryptocurrency willingly? Are the common users educated or knowledgeable enough to use cryptocurrency? Do they really know the blockchain technology already, while we all know that Facebook is a global social networking site and all of the users have the access into it.

I could agree with this coin getting implemented, but will others go along with it also? I had remembered the Facebook Credits that were primarily used in Facebook games. I don't think that a lot of people really bought those that much. Facebook Credits were like your electronic coins in the whole Facebook site and you could use it to buy digital goods inside interactive multimedia stuffs. I can't say that Facebook Credits that time failed or succeed as a digital coin but it was a good startup for the feasibility of cryptocurrency tbh.

that was the latest trend in the crypto world facebook is creating their own coin, also some news saying that they will only using the blockchain technology. But the speculation that facebook will be having their coin gained popularity because of the news that facebook will be banning crypto related ads.
They would really just using blockchain technology which is good yet transactions would really be on public but I do still treat this token to be similar on fiat itself. It might have a new form and do simply things up unlike before but still it will just benefits its owner only.
that would be great. atleast we know the owner. if it fails, we can arrest him. hahaha
No it isn't. Wont be a possible thing because of popularity of facebook. Failing out would be most likely on very very slim chance.

There is no confirm news about this thing but why not? I think they realized now the good things about cryptocurrency and if they make their own coin for sure its a big one and many investors will finally come. Time will come and those big companies will make their own coins in order to survive.

may be yes and probably not. because, we ourselves can not believe, before it really exists. although it is true, facebook creates its own crypto, hopefully we can be more advanced and developing. not to drop each other.
we'll see the future, whether it is true facebook will create, or this is just a fraud news only.

I can see them doing that but in terms of data privacy...I'm sure it will still be the same it is now.

In terms of advertising I think algebraix has a good position to come in to disrupt. I saw on their site that they had over 12,000 users sign up for the app. looks like something that's in demand

I have noticed about the algebraix project but very well known about it. Really happy to see the social network giant coming inside crypto currency proposal. Let's wait for some months.
Like gram project even Facebook may comes with ICO proposal with the pre sale value for it. Many people surely they go to invest on Facebook project for sure.

No strong evidence is available for the news, quite often news from large scale ventures come out stating their acceptance of bitcoin as well creating their own cryptocurrency and the development of their own blockchain. But, nothing comes official helping with the growth of the cryptocurrency network.

This is how world corporates faking us. If anything rise as a power against them they will not allow that to happen. That is why we see the facebook and twitter banned the crypto currency advertisements.
I have heard that Google also planned to create the new blockchain network for them, but they cannot replace the original blockchain we use for transaction now. Facebook they are really shit and then Litecoin team is richer than Facebook so they cannot do bigger than and no come to near BTC and all. Then you can see the Gram project telegram as well. They have the launched ICO I guess. Yesterday I got the email to join their airdrops.

Facebook coin? Facebook pay? Messenger coin? I have heard of this rumor after Facebook hired David Marcus for their blockchain.

I am pretty sure that you relate to this:

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/05/11/facebook-cryptocurrency-reportedly-in-the-works.html

Anyway if they do that I just can't see a reason to use their currency beside buying ads and things on facebook, it's  not going to be a decentralized currency and they are going to be the only who can mine it.
On the other hand it shows a respect as a big company like facebook finally recognizes the technology that stands behind bitcoin.
