Not all altcoins have a strong connection with bitcoin, but it somehow still affects them. On what the coin more, on what the less. Bitcoin is the king of all cryptocurrencies, it occupies a leading place and of course it has an impact on the market.
Alternative coins are very strongly tied to the price of Bitcoin. That is why we see a big drop in alternative coins at a time when the price of Bitcoin is going down.
Obviously very influential on Altcoin and that has a bad effect. Altcoin's progress and decline depends on Bitcoin. Whatever happens to Bitcoin is sure happen to Altcoin and that is certain. I hope Bitcoin will recover soon and return to the real track so that Altcoin will also go up and the Altcoin that I have can provide profit for me.
To those cryptos which are dependent with Bitcoin's market value, it would be surely a negative situtaion. How to know if the coins are dependent with BTC? simply observe if there is ALWAYS a proportionality with the dumps and pumps of thos coins and Bitcoin's. Proportionality simply means direct relationship of dependence. Some altcoin happened to be dependent to Bitcoin and ethereum. But since all cryptos are now on downfall, the situation itself is bad for investors.
It is very bad for all of the altcoins that bitcoin is dropping, there is no way that the market is going to be bull if the price of bitcoin is still down since this is what determines the price and value of all of the coins in the market. All the coins depend on bitcoin for their price and their value, that is how it is because of the trading pairs that exists between them
I also think that it will be very difficult for altcoins to pump when bitcoin prices fall because indirectly bitcoin is the most influential coin and it can even be said that the market is about bitcoin so when the bitcoin price falls then the market will fall as well as all existing coins inside it
The price of alternative coins is very dependent on the price of Bitcoin. Yesterday there was a big drop in the market and we were once again convinced that Bitcoin is the main coin on which the whole cryptocurrency market depends.

Bitcoin and Ethereum price up and down always effect on crypto market. Dropping is bad for market and now market so bad from may 2018.
The price of bitcoin is falling because there're a lot of people who are tryng to sell their coins. This will effect the altcoins temporarily. But, later on when the price increases, the price fo altcoins will also increase.
like you said after seeing the market condition many people are panic and selling their asset, that's why this condition make bitcoin dropped
Bitcoin is the core of this whole crypto ecosystem. Anything happens with Bitcoin will effect this matket. So the alts are effected if Bitcoins goes up.or down. Some of the alts sometimes able to escape the situation but most of the time most of the alts effected by Bitcoins movement. So when market is going some be careful , alts also can go dowm. But if btc start pump then sometimes also other alts go down. The best place for btc to be stable. Only when btc is stable we can see a very good growth in altcoins. So yeah Bitcoin effect on every thing which is belong to the ecosystem.

It has a bad influence at price 90% of the time, really rarely we can see that bitcoin lowering make altcoin's increase I saw that effect at 2017 when price was increasing to the point of 20000$ for bitcoin, it had different weird changes on that period, so it was really possible but situation is stable more so it's really not that easy to see this kind of manipulation in price

a lot of bch exchanges are frozen because they are waiting for the hf to be done soon, maybe this is what causes the reason why the price of bitcoin has decreased dramatically and has an impact on other altcoins
