for me it is better when you invest in both of them because they are both good in value, but when you are looking for a good and bigger profit I suggest to invest more in bitcoin because bitcoin has a high value in the market and it continually increasing everyday and every hour thats why you can earn high profit in bitcoin.

Many argue that bitcoin outgrowths ,others that the Ethereum. No one can say "Yes" 100% to invest in a particular coin. So I'm part of the coins hold in bitcoin the other part in the Ethereum to reduce their risks.

ETH is now flying to the moon and it's too late to invest it for a short term. And bitcoin is now at the bottom and it's a great time to invest in this coin. But if you want to reduce your risks you ought to buy both coins in some proportion (for example 70% of BTC and 30% of ETH).

Neither. While you might get a nice 10x from either over years (and that is if all goes well with the market) you wont make the big ones. I would recommend a more risky approach. Pick some relatively small marketcap coins and make sure you include some anonymous ones. Check out NAV for example, they are launching anonymous Dapps this year!

But that is just what I would do.

It is currently at more than 50% of Bitcoin's marketcap. I don't even know how it got to this point, but it might end up really bad.

With a quick search you will find out that ETH doesn't scale. And even if they solve the scalability part, which would require some alien type of tech, it's really hard to find real demand for decentralized smart contracts.

I think if you invest in ETH, you will get more profit than BTC. Because ETH is faster than growth BTC. And now the price of BTC is too high, many investors will not give priority to such expensive currency, I think they will choose ETH, so I think it should be ETH!

Yup,, it turns out that ETH almost doubled by only 10 days this year, while BTC only increasing by 25%, and now declining a lot already...

I'm not sure what makes BTC price going down.. but news about ETZ hardfork at 19 january might be the one who makes ETH rising this fast ~

In my opinion investing in both Ethereum and Bitcoin in a long term is the best choice. Bitcoin price may go lower in this time but it's normal, it will go down a little but you will still see that it will go up again. In Ethereum.. it have potential to grow and other say that Ethereum will take Bitcoin position and be the top crypto.

I would trust in something new, alternative, and not sitting with bitcoin in anticipation of a miracle. Especially since it is high time to look at alternatives with such a growth and demand. Therefore, I use both hands for the Ethereum, which will be exactly the successor to bitcoin.

Do you believe in a cryptocurrency or in the smart contract technology? -> the technology is here to stay, for cryptos the battle just begins so probably more risk for BTC
Which one do you think is the most scalable? Both have some scalability issues they will try to resolve.
Which one has the most viable competitors as of now? Probably BTC (BCH, LTC, XMR...) for now. Almost all ICOs are on Ethereum on the other side.

So Ethereum is probably less risky. But no idea which one has the most upsides, so this is your question.

Of course for growth and more gain due to small price my vote will go to ethereum, imagine you could buy a lot of ethereum in $5k than bitcoin and knowing bitcoin pumps are not too often these days.

Why not invest to both of them? Currently, eth is pumping and bitcoin is starting to catch up and what Im doing right now is sell what is pumping then buy what is dumping (i traded my eth to btc and wait until it pumps). But for long term hold, I'll choose Eth because I know that I'll have a good future in it.

I would spit that to 80% bitcoin and 20% ethereum. you can't really predict who is going to be a better investment or yield a better return. so in my opinion hold both.
