It can loose value, or actually fluctuate in price, we can see old drops like the one mantioned, when the whole Mt. Gox took place, or more recently when China started closing exchanges when we reached 2900, still we saw a quick bounce back, and reaching current highs which are also ATH, yeah we'll see fluctuations but if you believe in the maxim of a deflationary asset, backed by tech and a strong community you should not panick when seein such sharp drops, if you're in for the long haul remember to BTFD!

Yes of course because we all know that the value of bitcoin isn't that stable and as long as it didn't somehow announce that they will have the permanently value. And also bitcoin isn't that a coin that somehow have its permanent value because the demand of the person of using it continually increasing.
Guys thank you for the answers , but I'm not reffering to the 10-20 % spike in value , I mean like a complete downfall , lets say for it's price to go down to something like a few $.
I doubt it dear, it is very imposible for bitcoin prices to fall down to a few $, based on bitcoin prices that have reached $ 6000 now, even if the bitcoin price drops probably only around $ 1500-2000, but it seems like it will take a long time for bitcoin to get back to that price
Like anything else, also bitcoin can fall. It is unlikely but not impossible. There are number of events that could cause this. This brings to my mind a quote from the movie i watched some time ago: Everything can fail, only death is certain.
I think everything can happen tomorrow or next year, we never know what will happen with bitcoin so the best step is not keeping a large amount, if you feel a profit then you should sell.

There are a lot of factors that may make bitcoin's value go down but right now I don't think it will occur. Bitcoin has been recovering from the tragedy that happened with China and we can all see that the value of it has risen higher than ever even after all that happened. If ever a malfunction in the software with bitcoin would occur, maybe it will lose a bit of its value but going to zero is not a thing that may happen with bitcoin anymore right now. Maybe have its value to fall down but to completely lose its value is not something I think could happen with bitcoin. We can all witness nowadays that the value of bitcoin is rising and many people are getting crazy over it. If ever this thing would occur, I'm pretty sure many people would get mad and depressed. There may be lots of instances and possibilities that bitcoin can do really lose its value due to many contributing factors that may affect its current price rate. Bitcoin may lose its value once it is widely use for illegal doings that can make government to make a move of totally banning bitcoin usage on a certain country or even the whole world. It may also lose its value once the technology where bitcoin is generated and operated online experiences malfunction that was a really a large hindrance to the economic progress of bitcoin. Anything Is possible but the chances of Bitcoin to loose all its value is very low simply because it is one of the most popular crypto available in the market and many people believe in it. Yes it is possible especially if those people who support upon it is gone. Bitcoin is unpredictable so it is hard fpr us to foresight on what will happen on it in the future. Bitcoin may lose its value for the reason that if the people who believes in it will start pulling out their money and turn their back to bitcoin so if we all want bitcoin to survive and will exist for the rest of our lives then lets keep the fire burning and keep people educate about bitcoin. It sucks that people do not even understand the fact that holding bitcoin in 2010 was more risky than 2011, and holding in 2011 was more risky than 2012 and so on. So you cannot compare the risk of someone who bought in and held in 2010, to someone who is buying now. The risk reduces over time as people keep accepting it the more. But I think it is very impossible at the moment but maybe in the future .

I don't think it will fall now because these days the bitcoin become popular in every country. So many people now engage in bitcoin and it can cause to grow it more. but i think in time it may because we can't control what will happen in future. There are a lot of things that may happen with bitcoin but completely loosing its value? I don't think so, you may say that its value will go down for some time but the chances that it will loose its value is very low. Things are going well with bitcoin even after the banning of it from China so the improvements will surely occur more as bitcoin recover from going down because of China. It depends on what's happening in the market and the influence of bitcoin in every country. There are a lot of factors that affect the value of bitcoin just for example, bitcoin was banned in China and we all witnessed the fall of its value as that thing happens. So if things wouldn't go well with bitcoin in a country that mine bitcoin then the value of it will surely be affected negatively. Hence, the ability of bitcoin to overcome all the obstacles it is facing is still improving so I think bitcoin would never ever loose its value. It depends on the economic growth of thr country. For me everything is possible to bitcoin lessen thr value but titally loss?? Its imposible because as long its curculating and the demand is high theres ni chance it will lose its can only lessen but not loss. The amount of it depends on supply and demand. We cant control the stability of its value but as long as the demand of consumer get higher and higher value of bitcoins remain stronger and stronger each day.

With this high market value of 6000$ and still getting more expensive, I think it is quite impossible. Backdrops are still expected but it won't be as big to the point that Bitcoin will lose its value. One good example is what happened recently with China. It resulted to major cryptomarket to fall but Bitcoin is able to recover from it. So if there'll be a huge downfall, Bitcoin will surely make its way up again, for sure.Sorry if my post is in the wrong place or it's not relevant.
But we can't guarantee that. It is not us that control the market price but it is huge holder. I believe when huge holder are boring with bitcoin they will start to sell every coin that they have and bitcoin will loae its value. And I do not know when it will start to rise again, we can't really predict the outcome yet right now. We just can stay positive that bitcoin will keep on rising
