[Nope]No hype delivers more than hope
-snip-
so if there's an advertisement for a product or service then in a way it can be a way that the marketers manipulate the market.
Advertising and marketing is not market manipulation, it is a strategy to attract more potential consumers thereby expanding the reach of the target market. Maybe in practice there are several marketing techniques to manipulate people's minds to encourage them to buy the product. But still it doesn't have a direct influence on statistics, it's just a possibility.

By definition, I think that market manipulation always happens even the people that doesn't know about it are actively participating in market manipulation, what I mean is that people that are buying goods and services are the reason why the market moves so if there's an advertisement for a product or service then in a way it can be a way that the marketers manipulate the market. So in a way, market manipulation happens everywhere and it's a common occurrence.
Basically, marketing strategy is the key to boosting sales of a product. There are many marketing strategy systems that immediately stick to our memories, so we buy them and apparently this is also experienced by many people, thus moving the market simultaneously and causing big movements. This is something that usually happens in a business, and then it depends on whether the product is able to survive and gain the trust of future consumers

In every market there's a possible of manipulation of course those are the people who hold the large number of numbers but they are not dumb enough to make sell or buy immediately still there's a marketing strategy right there for example those people who made an investment in the dip and they create a post that they bought this coin and those scalpers and fomo investors will make an investment too and sooner or later once the price goes up they make a good sell in the highest price. This is just example what we most likely experience in investments with people with large amount of percentage hodlers.

This is true, manipulation can happen anywhere and have different effects. Market manipulation, for example, can have a good effect on others but can also have a negative effect on some. Moreover, market manipulation can be big or small depending on how much changes it may cause. And yes, cryptocurrency can be manipulated in some ways as well.

Because cryptocurrency can also be manipulated in several ways by certain parties, as cryptocurrency users we must continue to research carefully so that we can find out what things are often used by certain parties to manipulate them. These are the methods that we need to know now so that we don't fall into this manipulation because we are users who use cryptocurrencies very often in the market.

The impact does exist and is also very real because it aims to maximize profits for the perpetrator of the manipulation by causing harm to other people so I will not say that this will have a good impact on certain parties because every thing that is done using bad methods must be it is still considered bad even if one party benefits from it.
Market manipulation is much common with cryptocurrency. Particularly this can be experienced much with altcoins are centralized. The real manipulation can be experienced when the entire market is bearish and one particular altcoin bounce. If we go deep we'll come to know that particular altcoin doesn't even have a minimum viable product. Apart from this we will be able to see good number of dump and bumping service providers. The impact of those groups won't be that big, but to some extent it helps with manipulation.

I'd say yes; there will always be bigger competitors in any field wherein manipulation happen especially with things wherein demand is a factor to consider. This is more visible with sales industry and fields of investment. But if the question is whether it is a fair thing or not, then I'd say fair still. Big investors just have the power to manipulate and they just make use of that capability. They won't adjust to small investors simply because you are all competitors.

Manipulation exists everywhere, especially in the economy or business.  Manipulation is inextricably linked with business. In every sector, those who are big in terms of authority try to manipulate the system.  Market manipulation is done by those who will benefit from it.  I think cryptocurrency is not out of the question.  Besides, there are big whales to manipulate the market from time to time.  But I think even if you manipulate the market it will go back to its own pace later it may be only for short time.

Yes cryptocurrency is really prone to market manipulation simply because there are "whales" who could trigger big "waves" in market prices. It would be a disadvantage if you'd choose to go against their manipulation but could be an advantage if you'd go along with it.

Everyone wields different powers when it comes to business. Some say that cryptocurrency prices can be manipulated by wealthy individuals. Despite being decentralized, it seems that price movements can be controlled by specific entities.

So, in your opinion, can everything related to money in this world be manipulated? For instance, do you believe that the value of the USD or the largest stock market in the US can be manipulated by a few individuals?

What kind of people are capable of market manipulation?

I mean most of the time and everywhere there are obviously a lot of manipulations that are happening to everything that involves money, I guess it is just because everything can be manipulated by money, but for sure not all the time the cryptocurrency market is manipulated. I mean you are right it is still a decentralized market unless you are referring to the centralized one probably that is where most of the time there is a lot of manipulation happening because there are just some tokens where the developers still have a lot of supply on there hand, so there are a lot of cases where they can easily control the market, I mean they could easily sell a large portion of there holdings and that could easily kill the coin they are holding.

It is actually really easy since people who are capable of manipulation in the market are just the one that has a big amount of holding, but for sure there are only a few people who could probably do that so most of the time if there are some manipulations it was probably a group of whales, or governments, companies, etc.

I have also the same thing, if you see most of the third word country if I tell about our country situation then , There are many unscrupulous businessmen who have formed a syndicate to manipulate the market with the daily necessities of these people. Although we are not able to take any benefit from these markets, but a benefit can be taken by seeing the market manipulation in cryptocurrency.
My point is that those who do technical analysis or professional traders, short term trading means day trading, they can see the market manipulation or see the hype and invest and get some profit from here. However, Bitcoin is now rapidly spreading to the majority of people, so I think that short-term manipulation of it will gradually become difficult for those whale traders.

But manipulation will always be covered up and they cover it up by releasing news to legitimize what they do and people easily believe it is true. To me, what is happening in crypto is more manipulation than movement based on supply and demand.
Apart from being used to obscure the movements of individuals, news disseminated by major media outlets can also serve as a potent instrument for market manipulation. It appears that they possess numerous strategies to maintain control over the market for specific periods.

As long as the volume of crypto transactions remains relatively low, manipulation becomes increasingly feasible. As an individual with limited capacity, I will continue to regard this as valuable information, as it implies that they are committed to sustaining the crypto space as long as they exist. In essence, they seem prepared to defend the world of crypto should it ever begin to lose trust.

What kind of people are capable of market manipulation?

To the best of my understanding, market manipulation can take place in a wide range of markets, from commodity, Forex to cryptocurrencies. It is not limited to any country or market type. However, the impact of market manipulation can vary widely depending on the specific context and regulatory environment in a particular location. It is generally perceived that individuals or entities with substantial financial resources, can leverage their financial clout to manipulate prices in their favor.
It's true that market manipulation is not a respecter of a country, it can happen anywhere but the help of regulation is checking the excesses on this and heavy sanctions are being meted on those who are caught in such illegal practices. This is often done by those who have the big money, they are mostly big banks and financial institutions in the traditional market, but regulators are careful and strict enough to monitor their activities to discourage such practices. What helps further in manipulating the market is thin market liquidity, when the liquidity is low, they can move in money and do what they have to do.

However, this is getting much worse in the cryptocurrency market. These guys are careful enough to avoid the top-rated coins but focus on the shitcoins to their advantage. They pump and dump selected coins at will and continue to make their money.
Actually, people who have a lot of money in traditional markets can get out of sanctions easily, one way is that they use many accounts that do not have affiliation with each other, and things like this are still done by some entities at certain moments so that Their moves cannot be detected as illegal activities. With the exception of liquidation, it is limited based on the amount (max transaction) every day (overall transaction), it makes it difficult even though it has many accounts, but if the liquidity applies to the account, then it can still be a gap.

Because crypto is a free market and in large exchanges have a high enough total liquidity makes everyone easy to buy and throw the coins back to the market, especially those who have a small market capitalization, will easily be manipulated and according to me it is a common thing at the Crypto Market.

Do you know why small coins or new altcoins dumps heavily in value when Bitcoin losses a funny percentage of it's value? That's because altcoins have tinny marcketcaps, the amount of money invested in alt isn't the same as that of Bitcoin, and the lower the market cap the easier it is to manipulate.

It is easy to manipulate market in dealing with altcoins but this is not possible with the bitcoin network, we understand that the entire procedures of most of the memecoins are investors base decision and if they so wishes, the project can continue with their steady funding and once they are not willing anymore or when the market becomes u favourable for the to sustain through the process, they withdraw their investment and funding to the coin and the whole things stops.

Bitcoin network cannot be manipulated because it is decentralized and no one has the authority over it.  But the Bitcoin market can be influenced to the point of manipulating the sentiment of the market creating unnecessary market movement and turn of events.  Bitcoin or altcoins, when it comes to market manipulation are susceptible. We have seen how people use news and events to manipulate market sentiments.  So it is not only the altcoin market but also the Bitcoin market, and in fact, any market can be manipulated as long as the needed condition is met.

Totally agree with you, many people have the misconception that bitcoin cannot be manipulated and that what is happening in the market is determined by supply and demand. People who think like that are naive. The bitcoin network is impossible, but given the price and quantity of bitcoins circulating in the market, manipulating it wouldn't be too difficult for those with a lot of money. But manipulation will always be covered up and they cover it up by releasing news to legitimize what they do and people easily believe it is true. To me, what is happening in crypto is more manipulation than movement based on supply and demand.

Indeed, that's true for the majority, but not in all cases, because Elon Musk has also manipulated the DOGE market, and to this day, the price of DOGE is still relatively high compared to before the new year in 2021.

Historically, DOGE had an extremely low price for 1 DOGE, and when Elon Musk did something with DOGE, its all-time high (ATH) reached $0.73. If it were to return to normal, its price should ideally be between 10 cents and 15 cents. However, now it stands strong at 193 cents. This means that the strength of DOGE has not completely collapsed.

This may also apply to other markets like Bitcoin and the top 10 cryptocurrencies. Correct me if I'm wrong.

It is generally perceived that individuals or entities with substantial financial resources, can leverage their financial clout to manipulate prices in their favor.
Furthermore, individuals in positions of authority possess the capability to manipulate markets through the implementation of peculiar policies. They may not possess wealth per se, yet their decisions must be adhered to by a multitude of involved parties. An illustrative example of a perilous entity within the world of stock markets is the stock exchange.

National stock exchanges wield the power to steer market direction in accordance with their own desires or the desires of others, often driven by financial motives. Insiders seldom expend significant financial resources to orchestrate such maneuvers, and this privilege constitutes a hazardous facet of a centralized system.

but definitely there are some ways though with bitcoin market in terms of manipulation or at the very least is affecting and influencing the overall markets and the key is media.
its most efficient and cost effective way of influencing the general sentiment of the market towards certain assets, just give bad news now everyone fears that the assets they are holding gonna gets doomed and they gonna be losing their money
in which creates panic selling.
thats i think one way of manipulating the market without spending too much money just for the sake of manipulating supply or demand, there are most certainly other thing.
but it goes to show that even bitcoin market might be affected by these attempts of manipulation.
