Do you think the crypto hype is over? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
I really don't think that Elon Musk has an influence on this current pump and that gives me the reason that I say NO.
Maybe I miss something about him but in the first place, I'm not interested anymore to hear and know what he is doing on social media. And I don't suppose to think this situation will cost a lot but of course, we still need to be careful as we know that we can't assure that it will continue to pump since dump is inevitable.

For some reason, Elon Musk stopped tweeting about DOGE and even Bitcoin, making people lose interest in crypto these days. Add to this the China miner ban, and regulatory action against Binance exchange and you'll see why the market hasn't gone up that much within the last 2 months (approximately). Bitcoin is still struggling to reach a new ATH, while ETH doesn't get past $3k per coin.

what does crypto have to do with Elon ? what happens in crypto has nothing to do with Elon musk. and also if crypto becomes viral again and rises again later it is also not because there is someone behind it. but because crypto does have more value to attract people to know what crypto is .

It can be  Grin
Commonly, crypto is hype enough when itis:
- Bullish era with significant increasing price in short time
- Get hype from popular people or public figures in the world
- Good news spreads around the world

And this what makes us sometimes feel bad to see many newcomers only get hype and then invest their money in the hype, finally some are losing their money.
bearish trend also could be hype for us to buy some cheap coins especially major coins. many investors only concern in bullish marke and they buying in this periode. But imagine if they did it in bearish market and accumulate some coins and  hold it for long time , huge profits will come to them later.

hype is not always in the market, this kind of trend is like seasonal, after all, isn't it strange if the upward trend occurs continuously? once in a while we need a downturn and relaxation to keep the market healthy. Don't worry, there will be hype in the next period, there may be new trends, new news, new adoptions, etc. while waiting for it to come, we can use the time to learn market analysis, try other jobs such as being a bounty hunter or airdrop hunter, do many things that can make you productive.

Indeed! He is spoiling the crypto market. At first I thought that he is good for bitcoin and crypto community. But his meaningless tweet made the crypto market corrupted. His activity taught people that how the manipulation works. Crypto market will be better without him.
Initially we wanted to see him provide crypto support in the next few years but in the end he is just manipulating the market for his own benefit, he is not like other famous people pushing crypto to keep growing but not making it fall under any circumstances.

Hypes actually aren't important for a solid growing. They are too volatile and investors following them will end losing money sooner or later. It's better to focus in long term adoption, so you avoid the trap of the ephemeral
hype effects. I see that bitcoin adoption is increasing very well despite fuds and recent crashes. I don't see the crypto currency losing strength for now, it's quite the opposite.
The recent rise which pushed bitcoin back to 40,000$ makes even the most hardcore haters astonished. That is not a signal of a decaying market, right? By the end of this year bitcoin must hit a new ATH, let's see.

The hype shouldn't continue forever. There should be some dormant moment between the hype of crypto market. It will encourage investors to learn more deeply about crypto. The hype isn't over yet. It will continue in the future and crypto market was in a dormant moment. Bitcoin and altcoins gradually recovering their price now.

~snip~
And about "Elon Musk", even without him the "BTC" will still be the pioneer of the transaction revolution. I more prefer "Elon" not doing anything or tweeting about crypto, because of him its make moving because of him and that's is not health market at all.

I see that you mentioned Elon Musk implied that he is the one who brings the crypto hype. I disagree  with that, what I believe is that the hype of cryptocurrencies in line with the increasing trend of investment during pandemic (lockdown and WFH), young people started to find a way into making their money works while at home.

Elon Musk is just one of many influencers who following this trend and eventually is using it as part of his self-profit movement, I used my made up term for that because I believe he is using his influence and tweets for his personal gain.

Elon Musk involvement in crypto is no longer necessary as traders become disillusioned with the ambitious attitude of tweeting to dump and drop the market, people are so fed up and not responding to meme coin posts or anything. The current rise in the market is absolutely due to the strength of the crypto community and not the involvement of influential people like Elon Musk.

Sometimes I wonder if the crypto hype is over. "De-Fi" and NFTs are still a big hit, but interest/demand seems to be slowly declining. I'm guessing the next Bitcoin halving will "revive" the hype. But there's no guarantee this will happen since crypto behaves in many strange and bizarre ways.

Do you think the crypto hype is over? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

I think that what has happened in the last two months was needed to casch out those who bought for a short period of time. Now purchases are starting all over again as the market has calmed down. If the negative information you mentioned did not keep the bear market going, then I think we will have no problem reaching the new ATH in a few months. So in my opinion, the hype is not over at all, on the contrary, it is now gaining momentum all over again.

I still see hype in the circles I run in. Nobody in my circles really cares about what Elon Musk says, except that they find him mildly amusing or annoying depending on the day. Right now developers are creating amazing projects that will change the world. I'm more pumped than ever!

I think now is a period of transition and does not mean it ends because this could be an opportunity where the law of the jungle system applies in the strong sense that it will survive.
this is not without reason we know that this month there was a lot of money about bitcoin which resulted in bitcoin dropping drastically which in some way also had an impact on altcoins. and here many people give up and think that crypto is the wrong choice, because they have lost money here.
but on the other hand this is the turning point for strong people to survive because those who give up are basically beginners and those who still follow people in buying things for example like billionaire followers who buy meme coins.
it should be for those who have enough experience this actually has no effect and the crypto hype ends like a joke

If the hype ends, I don't think so. Maybe it's better to take a break for a while. Indeed, we are no longer busy with tweets, or issues from countries regarding Cryptocurrency development.
Maybe more precisely Hype always uses a period in a certain time, then it seems as if it goes out and then appears when everyone is asleep. Shocking the crypto industry and so on comes and goes without saying goodbye from the hype spreaders.

I wanted to say you should wake me from slumber when bitcoin hit $100k and see when the whole thing becomes crazier with fomo because that's when everyone will be aiming 1 btc to $1000k, this i have forseen and it shall come to pass  Grin but then I might not be on earth breathing.
On a serious page, crypto hype is from over. Loom around you and watch how huge investors from other financial platforms are rushing to Cryptocurrency, that's because they all see future and want to be among the revolutionary people who change the financial cycle. They all invested to gain something in future, they wouldn't allow that investment to waste.

Is it? I think no. If you are observing the market, you should provably know how much Bitcoin has been pumped recently. Along with BTC, some altcoins had some good pump and they are still green. But this can be a bull trap you know.
However, the hype isn’t over yet in my opinion

As for Elon, He should do the same. That's good for the market, they will be educated about the crypto and bitcoin world in a pure way. I know that the hype will never end here, it will continue to be transformed into other forms. Perhaps, Elon didn't use tweets but acted more. Maybe he keeps buying bitcoins today Smiley)
Elon would still be loved if he were kinder.

Despite the regular tweets, we can see that there is a lot of optimism around crypto following the London upgrade.

Perhaps, it hasn't got much to do with it, it is hard to say but what's clear is that the markets are moving again and we must be ready.

A bullrun can last for up to 2 years or so, and that leaves us with plenty more opportunities.

I don't think Elon musks not tweeting about Dogecoins and Bitcoin has made people lost interest in cryptocurrencies these days, and even the mining issues from china is actually going to turn out to be more positive than negative IMO because we understand what was happening when most of the miners were located in china. As for crypto Hype, I believe that crypto is still very much in play, people will always think this when the market is in a down trend.
