Many people say the government is not interested in cryptocurrency. Many people think the government has prohibit
crypto to protect investors from risks. Maybe in your country, that's true. But in some countries, especially developing countries, the government just wants to rob your assets. They rob publicly, lawfully and as much as possible. they are really bandits.I'm not afraid what they do. Because we have many ways to fight them. But this world is not as simple as you think. They can kill you if you are demonstrating.
You can ask any vietnamese that : Do you support your government ? I bet 99% answer is never. 1% remaining I'm sure they are goverment employee or their family. Wink

I don't think that the government being a threat like that. Like they are the robbers or the killers. However, they can be a robber in their own way called corruption and can kill the persons by ignoring human rights.

In terms of digital currency, we are capable of fighting back against the government's bad intentions. They can regulation Bitcoin in the country but they can not control it in their own rules.

I believe netizens should know that internet is a wide place where lots of information floating on it. It means that, we are all safe and protected if we are literate about the digital world. Cheesy

Governments always wants to have control over everything that is happening in their respective countries. I believe most people don't understand how crypto currencies work. The authorities are not really sacred about crypto but they wish they could do something about how decentralized blockchain technology is.

I think the government is afraid of the crypto currency because they can not control it and will also bring down their country's economy, maybe they think like that. Though not necessarily the currency crypto drop the economy of their country.
They cannot control it for now but in next years they will do some changes which will make them some possibilities which will open for them gates to control it.

I'm really afraid that my country government will ban all my attempts to earn money here, or let's say, they will put their taxation that I would not be able to afford and pay off. So until they would make a statement about certain position and cryptocurrency I would not be calm.

That is because Vietnam is communist country, which has never been good for any country ever. I'm really sorry that you have to live under such a government but I want to assure you that it won't last for long, especially when the situation regarding people's support of the government, as you've described. Thankfully, you are not living in North Korea, where an overwhelming majority of the population supports the regime.

Regarding situation with crypto currencies in your country, the information I can find is contradictory. On the one hand, we know that Vietnam’s biggest Bitcoin exchange domain was seized by the government in May. On the other hand, we have this:

Quote
In August 2017, Vietnam's prime minister has approved a plan that could see the country formally recognize bitcoin as a form of payment by the end of 2018.

https://web.archive.org/web/20170825181617/https://www.coindesk.com/vietnam-preparing-legally-recognize-bitcoin-2018/

Can you please shed light on what is the real situation regarding crypto currencies in Vietnam?

I am not afraid in our government i will do my part to help it and abide whatever rules it will implement. I don't think it will get my investment or earnings in crypto. Taxes is normal and i am willing to pay for it so that many people can benefit from it.

The government is the regulator of the economic, social and political problems of every nation, possibly the brain. All matters that need approval and approval by the government are relatively well developed. I do not care about your government, but if it affects the interests of the law, it will forbid it.

Many Big  Countries approved of crypto currency because they are stable when it comes to to generate of income this crypto currency is their additional asset and also they are really want to it become primary use someday, but for the small country like here in the Philippines government are still seeking an additional business sector to put their business here for additional income through taxes, but for crypto currency as of now our government doesn't have enough fully understood whats the good benefits might be given for all Filipino people our government still doubt as of now that's they are not yet approved  for adopting cryto currency.

They might be, but it's something that we will never be sure of because part of the government is secret. The US government ones did experiments, or sterilized some poor black people, and had to pay a lot of money after they were caught. So who's to know if they might used Crypto to screw people.

Although the central authority of a state is given to the governments to rule the affairs of the state, Bitcoin acts on a different principle which eliminate all centralization. The decentralized nature of Bitcoin works in favour of the people, thus takes the power and control over their own financing back to the people  and once the people accept to continue to trade with BTC, the governments have little influence on ceasing the transactions.

Yes right, I think the government is afraid because the development of bitcoin is so fast that it makes many people worry that fiat can be less popular, I hope that the government is not afraid of crypto actually becomes an opportunity to get big profits.

Everything depends on the degree of development of democracy in society. Apparently, in Vietnam, democracy has not yet developed. In other, more developed states from the point of view of freedom of speech, any negative information about the unseemly acts of the authorities is published in the mass media and then such an official will not be envied. As a rule, after that he resigns. Therefore, officials are afraid of the media and are afraid of ordinary people. And it is right. Public people, vested with power, should be visible in their least actions. This is the meaning of democracy. If a person wants to be in politics, wants to have a certain degree of power, he must be prepared for the fact that his public, and even personal life will be in the permanent eye of the public.

I don't really care if my country forbids Cryptocurrency, because what I'm doing is right, and I work in Cryptocurrency to get Money to support my family. But my pleasure is, my country does not forbid any of its people from participating in Cryptocurrency.
