Not always but the result comes down to it, isn't it? I mean think about it, if you are a professional player and you play for income that is money and I get that, but if you are trying to have some fun and just spend some time on gambling I think winning money still matters, not in the sense that if you do not win you do not play or have fun, but in order to actually have some fun you should probably make a bit of profit time to time as well.
Why would anyone gamble to lose? Even while having some fun you should basically be doing it with periodically profiting, not losing all the time, overall you might be losing and that is fine but you gotta have winning days to make it all worthwhile otherwise you will stop gambling eventually if you only end up losing each time.

The main purpose of gambling is always entertainment. Since you can never win in the long run against the house edge, it makes sense to gamble to have some fun from the boring daily routine 
Actually the aim, objective or the purpose of getting engage into playing gambling depends upon the gambler itself. It is not always about the money because there are gamblers who perceive playing gambling as for entertainment purpose only on which the aim is to relax themselves by playing.
Seen many times about this entertainment and fun purpose.It's just the latter but the main is about making money with smaller amounts for not high risk takers but for those who made themselves a living with gambling, they consider it as a source.
I think that up to now only professional poker players like the ones we see on Pokerstars in Tv.All other people and gamblers play to win money but only to face with losses.That is what happens to most of us unfortunately but the truth is we all play with the purpose to make always more and more money.

Well gambling to be honest is an expensive find of fun. I mean, It could be minimize by going out to the sports bar bet with a minimum entry bet, then you could cheer all the way you want for your team with a beer on your hand. Then I can say, that gambling method is a fun stuff lol.

During this quarantine, it is really bored and there are only few activities that we can do. Here are the basic purposes why others are keep on gambling. Competition, winning is the best part of gambling especially if you are competing to each other. Past time, gambling is the best past time as you will forget the time easily if you are already gambling. Profit, earning some money is a good opportunity in gambling. Yeah thats right people should not only make an aim to get Money from gambling they should enjoy it and work while enjoying. I know its not good to spend money only for having fun but also it is not good to Make it life and death issue for your life better enjoy gambling and get your income if you feel that you are loosing money in it better quit for sometime and then again gamble when you feel easy to gamble.
It is extremely exaggerated when a person gambles on life and death. Maybe if it is connected to illegal activity or crime it could be said.We all know that gambling comes with money so we gamble to make money. Well, it is true, this entertainment reason seems to be their way to escape the fact what they really after. I don't think that there are some people who only gamble without aiming to win money. There is no such person with the idea of burning money without expecting a return.

Although all of us expect a return, we differ in regards to why do we expect that return. For some of us, who gamble for fun, any return, even just $1, is a reason to rejoice. But for people who gamble for profits, $1 is nothing, so they risk more in order to potentially win more. And sometimes they win, but most of the time they lose, and they lose big amounts, much bigger than what a gambler for fun can lose.

Well plenty of people don't gamble to turn a profit, it's more a pastime.
Think about it, you can spend hundreds of dollars going to shows, watching movies, buying new equipment for games etc, or you can spend that same few hundred bucks gambling.
