Yes, there are many fake coins out there. Mostly, they have no proper whitepapers, a good team and their website are not secured and well designed. It will be a good practice and will save you money and time if you can do a thorough research on a coin before you trust it with your money.
Yes offcourse there are many fake coins it's just left for you to take time to study any project you want to invest in but there are a lot of real coins to.

I don't think there is anything such as a fake coin as there is no way for anyone to actually make counterfeit crypto coins but what there is the fact that there are a lot of scam coins and yes there are a lot of listed scam coins. The creators wait for the price to get to a certain point and they sell out their bags and leave the project to crash and burn

Yeah, there are a lot of fake coins circulating making issues in the community. These fake coins come from fake ICOs that make projects without clear planning. That is why as a crypto currency player we must be wise in choosing the correct ICO because a fake ICO will affect fake coins as well. Praise God so far I have never bought a fake coin because I always make deep consideration when I buy a coin. When I buy coins, I will make a consideration about the advantages and disadvantages of the coin along with the chances of success in the future. Fake coin are popular on decentralized exchanges, it is risk to buy tokens on dex exchange, some guys do buy ethereum contract after that, it will be listed on dex and some noobs actually do buy fake tokens because they do not know.

There are so many fake coins in the market as like scam projects. Before investing to something you must be atleast have knowledge about it. Do some research and if the promises are too good to be true then maybe it is a fake one.
The more valuable btc the more project scam in the name of the token/coin. For it if you want to invest then do it first observation better than see or learn the roadmap,whitepaper,look how great the dev team and also other supportive aspects.
Until recently the fake coins in the market it is very difficult to track. But I think instead of false coins currently circulating. But the coins so far fail to grow. The coin failed to grow so it will disappear by itself. And will be replaced with a new coin that is more potential in the market.

What do you mean by counterfeit money? Fake BTC or ETH coins? Or is it a fake coin that has no value at all? Both of these situations may exist, but the first case is rare.
