Just a matter of time before Ripple overtakes Ethereum for good, I mean for real with no coming back.

I even think Ethereum will eventually die while Ripple will remain on the market. Just think how much money Eth holders have lost last 12 months, especially those who bought exactly 12 months ago Roll Eyes

Have a friend who bought XRP77k for $3.3 twelve months ago and he is in trouble now. He invested even more later on
on much lower price and now have a better weight average but still we can say that XRP lost X10 during the last year
from it`s ATH , the same as ETH did.

XRP will get defeated by ETH again. And as far as BTC is concerned, forget about it. XRP would never become top currency, BTC will get defeated at some stage but it won't be XRP.

In my opinion i can say XRP can't beat bitcoin because bitcoin still remains as the king of all coins bitcoins price is higher than any price of altcoins but for the mean time XRP is better than Ethereum.

I never thought that XRP was able to replace BTC, but we just saw, the time would give that statement. If in the near future I think it's impossible. The supply of bitcoin is still there and has not finished being mined so there is still a chance to take part in mining. And in the end XRP was far from what was expected.

I don't think so, though we can't deny that XRP has great and huge potential! The price might go up but for now I can say that XRP has no chance to beat Bitcoin. Let's see how XRP will go in the future, but beating Bitcoin it's really impossible to happen.

Eth holders losing money is your indication that Eth will die? Going by your logic, do you think BTC will also die because many BTC holders also lost money?

In my opinion i think there is quite big chance for it to happen in future . Lets say in future XRP will replace SWIFT payments , thats the point where it probably attract alot of investors , funds and so on . Im not a fan of XRP , but i definetly see them in TOP1 or TOP2 by crypto marketcap .Im not touching XRP , because banks are behind it =D

Ripple defeating Bitcoin seems very unlikely . Ripple's marketcap might have passed that of Ethereum a couple of times but Ethereum always took back its spot. Unlike Ethereum, Beating Bitvoin would be a lot difficult for Ripple since Bitcoin is about 4-5 times that of Ripple and about more than twice of ETH and Ripple Marketcaps combined. However, I've seen impossibilities happen in my lifetime so I can't say it won't happen. Even if it is, It'll be extremely hard.

Ripple has a very good team but I don't think they can cross the Bitcoin even if they work harder. Bitcoin is the market leader and the overall trend of the market is determined by BTC's movements.

I doubt that will happen, now the ripple are above ethereum but there is a possibility that ethereum will return to second place. I think ripple will only fight in second place with ethereum, but if fighting over position with bitcoin then the ripple won't be strong, because bitcoin is much stronger.
