2020 has been an amazingly bad year so far.
For a lot of things. besides. difficulty.
Although so far it is behaving exactly like LTC did last year.
If it mirrors that we drop to 3500-5000 and a diff of only 4 -6

It is the flip flop of diff chasing price. We sometimes get price chasing diff.
That 8790 is like 4395 if it were april.
Now that price is chasing diff do we get a stronger drop of diff?
I would hope to see an eight teen day jump which is over 25%
and price settle near 8k.
That could give us a third drop in diff. maybe 10%.

I also see bitmain dropping price on gear by tuesday or weds this week.

I'm surprised to see hashrate just slightly up after this re target. Was expecting to see faster blocks with about 110EH. I suppose price drop is keeping some equipment from coming back online.

Well, you are in Europe (same as me) and prices are higher beacuse of VAT. You can order from resellers in China for 20$ per S9 (with PSU) if you order in bulk (500+ if I remember correctly), but good luck importing it in some countries...
also the fact that used S9s are going on sale!!, you can find them for $25-30 with PSU,

I must admit, I have never really understand how the minds of miners work, its one reason I started following this thread after years in this industry. But I assume, one way or the other, you still expect price to go up and be profitable for you or you wouldn't work so hard at this.

there is more but. cheap power takes away most risk.
You do not get the returns of buy and hold. But you don't fear buy and drop in price.
I can make money if coins drop.
I can make money if coins go up.
I can make money if diff goes down.
I can make money if diff goes up.
If build burns down I collect as they are insured.
If gear is stolen I collect as they are insured.
My risk is not high. But I do not get crazy high returns.
