With each passing day, a possible restart will appear to be more difficult.

Nobody wants to take responsibility for deciding and in the end, probably the government will decide for a possible restart or for a possible final closure of the season.
The modalities of the eventual assignment of the title will instead be decided by the competent department.

In case of early closure, they are already talking about how to create the next SeriaA season with "how many teams" (since also the B series is currently in the same position as the major league).

There are two possible solutions, the first for a new Serie A with 22 teams and a more quoted one at 20.

But there are fears of appeals about appeals from teams that try to protect their economic interests.

A new day a new life, as reported from "LaGazzettaDelloSport".

If SerieA will not start again, the next season will have 22 teams on the top league and the title of this year will not assigned.
Well, Juventus and Lazio may do an appeal IMHO.

What a caos.

It would be very disappointing for Lazio fans if this happen,
They have made an amazing performance and they had a good chance of winning the title this year. I think that the league is going to be continued in the end of May.

As I said yesterday don't trust news when they came from nations not related to the player.

Dybala is negative according his girlfriend and they are waiting the test to confirm it.
https://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Serie-A/Juventus/30-04-2020/oriana-dybala-non-positivo-attendiamo-ultimi-test-370602541563.shtml

TDRL, they can't know the response.

There is not any reason to spread fake news regarding Dybala.

There is.
It's called clickbait.

The news about Dybala is true and as much as I too wanted it to be a fake news sadly it isn’t, and I’m saying this because all the known major sports outlets have reported about his tests coming positive, so at this stage we can only pray that he recovers fast from this virus.

"I see an increasingly narrow path for the resumption of the Serie A... If I were one of the presidents (of the clubs) I would focus on the next season," Spadafora told private TV broadcaster La7.

These decisions (in France and in the Netherlands) could push Italy to follow this line, which would become a European line," Spadafora said.

Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has announced that lockdown measures will be eased from May 4, with training for sports teams possibly allowed from May 18.

At least Dybala has not yet got serious health problems with the virus. Only positive test results and assymptomatic are fine for him. Anyway, if he won't get some negative test results he won't be allowed to resume his training while their teammates will (guess so in later half of May). Maybe the Serie A will be cancelled too if one of top four leagues follow Netherlands, France and Belgium. For now, they all want to resume their leagues but if one of them cancel, I fear of a domino effect over top leagues in Europe.

If there are four positive test in a row for Dybala, the official website of Juventus should confirm about it. I don't believe in news in this dull time. Unemployment pandemic is around us and fake news are born to help them keep their jobs and income.

The virus has not yet been fully understood but from what we have known till now, infected people tend to switch from normal (mild or assymptomatic condition to severe or critical condition from week 2 to week 3). If not switch to severe or critical, infected people should recover.

Usually yes but you can have some strange cases.
https://tg24.sky.it/cronaca/2020/04/24/coronavirus-bianca-dobroiu-modella-positiva.html

Here in Italy, for example, we have a 23yo model even if she seems in good condition is positive for more than 60 days.

Again, the news for Dybala can be fake is not confirmed yet.
The coronavirus test may continue to be positive in a person long time after he recovered or in case of re-infection which is possible too.
I don't know about the model but generally those people have a weird diet to maintain or lose weight so basically they can lack many vitamins and minerals, so the result is that they may be venerable, just like obese patients even if they are young.
Now if this turn true and he is still positive then it will be a major problem for Serie A...

Italian football is going to be resumed training after 18th may as their president announced, Recently Italy has faced a lot of destruction during Corona impact, not only that they were under lockdown from March due to highly Coronavirus Impact, It's said that Italy is one of the countries who has experienced severe condition under this circumstance. But day by day they are getting received the good news of this critical situation and hope to see their fresh and cool condition very soon. In Seria A still, 12th round left to finish this season. Now the question goes to the president, is it really a suitable time to play football? So let's see what will happen in the coming month.

@murat according to their Sports Minister there’s a possibility of them cancelling the Italian league like France has done, so the chances of the Italian League resuming these season are 50/50 at this stage. However there’s a ray of hope too as their Prime Minister has announced that rules will be eased post May 4th, and the teams maybe allowed to train post 18th May, but that does not mean the league will resume unless they officially announce this.

And in the end this causes problem to him, so if this would not be true he must get out and say that it is not real.

Thanks for link to that strange case but I believe news on Dybala is a fake one because there is no harm on Juventus to announce his test result (if it is four positive tests). There is no confirmation from Juventus so I think it is mostly a fake news.

I see some reports on recovered patients who have positive tests later but no one knows such results are false positive or true positive. Even if they are true positive results, there are some assumption on how it goes: Reinfected or they fluctuated in the range between positive and negative result (from viral load). Not sure but such cases are too small.

Yes, Dybala's test came back positive yet again. That is the 4th one in 39 days that is positive.

The French Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 were suspended yesterday and they will not continue. The Italian sports authorities are now for the first time hinting that a similar scenario could happen in Italy as well. No official decisions yet, but this is the first time a complete suspension is being considered.

I don’t think you can have Covid19 in your system for this long? Dybala was infected ages ago, he’s a young & fit guy. I think he is probably recovered by now?

Basically this is what happened these days.

The Prime minister set the green light for the 18th of May for team training.
Papers are trash and created clickbait articles to get money for the hype generated from a possible restart.

The president of Seria A sent the protocol of what they want to do to play football with every possible security precaution to the minister of Sports.

The minister of Sports said, "this is not good enough".
The president of Seria A is working on a new protocol to be ready for the 18th of May.

To be continued.
Those are still some good steps to take in order to get back to finally playing again. Sure it is nowhere near starting games once again, this is absolutely no way to actually make players look like they are ready, the government is just giving greenlight on practices, so those players needs to get ready as well.

However all of these are a step, eventually we will reach to a point where we are going to be actually watching games again. Let's not rush this, we do not need to watch them on May, we could watch them on June, or July or even August. As long as they come back ready and not risk their lives, I would be fine with waiting, there is a reason why this summer is pretty empty, so that they could actually come back and play for a while without any trouble.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
If SerieA will not start again, the next season will have 22 teams on the top league and the title of this year will not assigned.
Well, Juventus and Lazio may do an appeal IMHO.
Appeal may be made by both clubs, but if the competition is stopped then both clubs should accept the fact that there is no title for either of them for this season. Although this will be detrimental to the club that has managed to occupy the top rank, but I dont think the appeal is an effort that must be done by them.

If the Italian football federation "FIGC" accepts an appeal from this club and gives the title, there will be many clubs from other competitions who will also appeal to get the title if the competition is stopped, Liverpool from EPL, Barcelona from LaLiga, and other top ranked clubs.

Maybe it will also become caos if one of the clubs is accepted and becomes a champion, of course other clubs will be jealous because of their injustice, so I think one of them is that there is no title this season, maybe it will be the best way.

Of course for other European leagues it will experience the same thing whether there will be differences or indeed the game will start because of hearing the news also the Bundesliga and EPL will soon be on the moon this season.

Step-by-step, slowly, but it will happens eventually. With a nice decrease in the number of new cases and deaths by coronavirus, resuming training then games will be a matter of time, ~month!
