The OP is probably right. The corrections we had in July and September were nothing like this. Every week there are bad news coming out and every week we have been hitting lows after lows. I have never seen BTC lose 70% of its value before----wait yes i did in 2013 when it reached an ATH of $1400. We are in a bear market now for the next couple of months... After Chinese new year, it will not rebound, maybe slightly but not enough to recover back to its old glory. My portfolio suffered a huge hit, and I am almost about to pull out unless some miracle happens.

This year cryptos will goto oblivion. End of days.

India's unfavorable crypto stance and more countries to follow.

I warned you people 2 weeks ago, still there is time. Get out of this with minimum losses.
You are one guy that creates panic among the cryptosphere. If you think that this would be the end of bitcoin, then why do you care? We have our thinking and we still believe that what is happening now is just part of the correction process. After this, everything will back to normal.

You can't be serious!! You can't put the genie back in the bottle.  Crypto has morphed into practical applications, and because of this, it isn't going anywhere.  Had crypto just remained as a form of currency, it may not have built longterm staying power.  But, crypto is now so much more than just a dark-web payment system.  Brick and mortar buildings all over the world are starting to accept payment via crypto.  It is becoming more mainstream everyday.

I believe that crypto will make a come back..
But considering the current market condition, I don't think it will happen soon. We should wait patiently and hope that the time for crypto market to rise again will come soon..

stop the fud, whales are using the fud to gain more dollars, they sold to all the newbies that entered in the crypto world in november/december and now they are buying again with low prices to start a new bullish run, it's a cycle so don't sell in loss just because you are scared, you don't have to be scared if you invested in crypto just the money you can afford to loose.

You are another guy who belongs to the FUD-spreader group. I don't really know why you exert effort in creating fears among the crypto community. Are you one with the banks? I don't understand why people want to kill Bitcoin when it is a truly amazing innovation in the world. Anyway, you are not really claiming something with enough bases. India officially said that they will not ban crypto. South Korea says the same. So where is the truth of what you are saying? I'd rather listen to John McAfee however crazy he may sound. At least he has objective bases.

Everything will be ok. In crypto, time goes by like the life of a horsefly. We just need to be a little patient and wait it out until mid February. Try to think about the price in a year if you hodl instead of 10 minutes from now.

I agree, it's most likely over. Most likely. For a while. For a short while or for a long while, that I don't know. And let me explain my point.

What we are experiencing now is not just a correction. It's a fucking downfall. Like a rock from a cliff. The "greater fool theory" has reached its climax. There is no greater fool to buy a BTC, because it's not going up anymore. Well what's the reason to buy it then? What is the reason? I mean, think about, the reason why it blew up so high Nov-Dec was that EVERYONE was buying, and then the altcoins followed. The only hope for the mania to continue we had was Wall Street, but hey, guess what, Wall Street thought the other way. And this is not just a correction, this is NOT a correction when BTC falls 40% EVERY week after week. It's like 40% down per week, little bounce back, 40% down per week again, little bounce back again, then down again... And that's what we've been seeing starting from the first days of January. I hate to say this, but the altcoins are gonna be in even worse situation.

And not to mention all the good stuff that's been going on (Lightning network, etc.), but guess what, now it's not gonna help the price. Because losing 70% of value is a crash. It's a complete and utter crash. It's gonna take A WHIIIIILE to recover.

I am very stupid. I hodled all the coins I had and didn't sell anything when I knew I had to. I didn't listen to my gut feeling. Now I'm down 80% on my altcoin portfolio. And to tell you the truth, I am still in profit simply because most of the money invested was March to July. So I'm still sitting at a good profit. But the bull is over, guys. It's OVER. 70% crash means the end of the bull market. That's certainly not the end to cryptocurrency, as it won't disappear, but the next cycle isn't gonna be around for a while. The bear market has just started. The funny thing is I will NOT sell my coins and try to sit through just for the heck of it. How long it's gonna take? Months or years? That I don't know.

Bitcoin has no compromisse to its price, although is a very limited asset, its major use nowadays is speculation, being used for whales who pump and dump. That is what bitcoin became: a pump and dump coin!!

Every time there is a crash of any kind these kind of topics come up.
And everytime the market has come back and reached a higher point than before.
My advice would be just look at the history because i think it will happen again that way.
I totally agree with you, need to hodl coins and not to stress.. It's important. Or trade with USDT - more relevant now

Man, the technology is stronger than all the goverment rules and regulation. Same hapenned to the Internet and now everyone uses it. Crypto is still a new technology and is not completely adopted by the people but it wont dissappear because each day more and more people see its value. So it may crash and go lower  but same happened with apple, amazon, google and look where those companies are now. So just invest more than with 50% the price.

This decline is not the end of anything. These declines are quite normal in this market. It will continue to recover and restore.
We just need to calm down and wait.

I just can't grisp why one would spend time on a forum about something that same person doesnt believe in advising others to get out.

Just get out yourself and don't come back, you won't be missed.
