I have seen some training footage from Mike Tyson, and to be fair unless he has some serious medical conditions that makes this a hard fight, his punches looked like he was still 25 years old, and that shocked me.

Normally I expected him to not have any punches at all, I did not expected him to have any punches at all, I assumed that he would have been long gone and not have anything at all, but by the looks of it he didn't had that trouble and he is still punches like he is a young man. I am not saying he will surely win, but I highly doubt that he would lose if it was a street fight. Why not a boxing match? Because they may just do an exhibition moving around stuff and not really fight, they are both doing it just for the money that's it.

80's Mike Tyson post-fight interview is really one of a kind, "I'm gonna rip his heart" comments. And if this happens in today's era, for sure Tyson will get a lot of backlash with this cancel society.

But I guess he just mellow it down in this fight, but still though, his language is controversial, but boxing fans love to see the old Mike Tyson back with that kind of statement and it could be added to his savage moments.
You see, he created a pathway for himself and, when the time was right, he made unforgettable legacies... These already made legacies sold his career to the highest point and he swam in a pool of victory throughout his prime... that can never be the case today anyways!

So I'd readily agree that whatever he does today - about him defeating Jake would just be him acting up on his own path to revive his income sources, and also creating more fame on Jake!
What aren't we expecting? Tow billionaires made an arrangement to fight themselves over nothing, talkmore of an ex fighter? He's gonna lose anyway.

Not sure if they can be considered billionaires though, and the main reason that they fighting? It's because of the money obviously. It was reported that Mike Tyson will received $20 million here, maybe Jake Paul even more as his company MVP is also part of this big event.

So in any case, this fight is obviously still considered a entertainment despite the rules is somewhat of boxing.

No question about Mike's legacy, but in this era of boxing, specially around 2005-2010, boxers become concern of how much money they are going to get, unlike around the 80's to early 00's, the goal is to fight the best.

Ask a billionaire if he wants another million or even a billion. I'm sure he will say YES. So this argument in my view makes no sense. They will fight for money, that's all. And they have been showing this from the beginning so as not to disappoint.

Business or no business , this will be the last dance of Mike and hopefully he will go 100% on Jake to actually KO him to prove that no matter how young the rival is , he is one of the goats of this sports and a KO will actually make the hole world happy. Cool

I also have a feeling that Jake will actually won't go 100% on Mike because he knows that no matter if he loses the fight , he will actually be in the ring with one of the greatest athlete in boxing sport.
Of all the posts that I read about this fight, I never saw at least one who would like Jake to win, or perhaps I didn’t read carefully and missed something. Everyone hopes that Mike will be strong enough to knock out Jake. I would also like this, because no one should harm a boxing legend, who, without a doubt, is Mike Tyson.

I don’t know how Jake will behave in this fight, it seems to me that he will try to show the best he is capable of, but in fact he does not have the spirit of a champion, he is just a blogger, a businessman and everything like that, and if at some point it becomes difficult for him, he will give up.
Which simply means that there are tons of people who do hate up Jake, and pretty sure this one would really be connected or would be pertaining on what type of person this is.
When it comes to his skills and how he fights then we must say that he's really that a shit one, in versus with a legendary but old boxer then even myself would be having no doubt on
making up some bets to Tyson and wouldnt really be having that second thoughts about it.

July is fast approaching and i do expect that there would be some sort of another exhibition fights that are already that in line. Lets see on who
would really be sitting up next to the list.

To Be Or Not To Be
Many people haven't had the opportunity to see Mike Tyson fight live in the ring, this is the product he will monetize, the whole atmosphere of seeing a boxing legend live and in color... this is a very valuable product and they will Exploit this as far as possible, everyone wins, both the fighters, the public, the producer... the event location...
Thats right, its all just business - Tyson gets $20M, Jake popularity increases, the organizers and all parties taking part in this match will get a lot of profit.
Just like the WWF, even though people knew it was scripted, they still love to watch it and even bet on that matches.
And if this match isnt scripted, I hope Mike can beat Jake by knockout.

I've already convinced myself that this is just a way to make a lot of money... Mike Tyson discovered the magic of entertainment and now he's going to use his image to make as much money as he can... Many famous athletes from the past haven't discovered the magic yet of money creating content for the internet, so from now on this type of content with athletes from the past could become very common.
The exhibition match between Tyson and Jake Paul certainly cannot be denied if that the fight is only about money, Jake Paul has challenged many former boxers and UFC fighters but not all of these fights can attract many people to watch it, so far Jake Paul challenges the fight with former athletes and they don't easy to sell match tickets,  But when Jake Paul is currently challenging Tyson, of course, the number of ticket sales has soared, and it is even reported that if the fight tickets have run out, more than 80,000 arena seats.

I think the fight is nothing more than money, because indeed Tyson appeal is still very well maintained even though he has reached 58 years old now,  to be honest,  I don't understand is Tyson way of thinking which actually accepts the challenge just for money, I believe if Tyson loses later then Jake Paul popularity will increase while Tyson who loses of course he will get a bad image of boxing fans in the future, actually For now, Tyson should maintain his image and popularity as a boxing legend who  be an idol from many people.

I didn’t think I would wake up to videos of Mile Tyson saying that he got an erection watching a 16 year old Jake Paul do tik tok dances, but here we are. As sick and twisted as that statement is, it’s somewhat refreshing to have an insane Mile Tyson back saying insanely gay things to terrify his opponents. I almost forgot what it was like. Lol

Well Jake Paul started it when he said that he wanted to kiss Mike Tyson's lip,

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xFLaptG2iNs

LOL, but it was really uncomfortable hearing what Tyson says though and then the reaction of the crowd was funny, awkward silence with some boo's.

But this is the old and classic Mike Tyson, remember when he said that "I want your heart, I'm gonna eat your children". The interviewer was also shock when he heard this explosive stuff coming from Mike's mouth.

Best way for the fans to talk about the fight is create a headline, and talks like that can easily create a headline. Mike Tyson may talk too much but less action in the ring, we can understand that because he is not the young Mike, he's old, probably have change but still have his talent in selling the fight.

I don't what I would expect in this fight, but as much as it's hype a lot now, I'm afraid I would be disappointed in the actual action in the fight, hopefully I'm wrong.

I personally wouldn't be so surprised. Jake's in it for the money, Tyson initially is the same but as time passes by he's becoming even more hungry to just put his opponent down, in light of recent banter and the clown that Jake makes of himself these days. So yeah, even an old Mike Tyson if anyone stands a lot of fighting chance against someone like Jake Paul who only fights people he knows he could beat lol.

At the end of the day though, this battle's all for spectacles, and while Jake doesn't have much to gain except earning the title of the guy who beat Mike Tyson at his Senior Age, Mike Tyson's got a lot to prove for himself in this fight, and I know he will not disappoint.

So yeah, a battle to finally watch from Jake's side, I've been wondering all these years if he'd ever give us something worthwhile and I guess this one will do nicely.

Not only money, but he knows, the name of Tyson among boxing fans rings a bell as he is considered one of the legends in boxing. So money and fame are what he is after here. I hope Tyson beats him even if it is just an exhibition fight. He needs a lesson from a real professional boxer. Now, if he ever asks for Pacquiao as next, I will surely bet on Pacquiao here. But for Tyson, I am considering his age if he can withstand those round after round. Let us accept the fact that age is also a major factor here because even if the mind wants such toe-to-toe fight, the body may respond different inside the ring. Let us see...

He just beat Ryan Bourland recently who looks like not willing to fight and Jake is up again for another.
They should call this a fight but an exhibition but believe it or not is happening. You think Mike is done after Roy Jones but Jake wants to pull him again for he just needs recognition from the boxing community.

I would be surprised if Mike beats Jake. He is 60.  Would you bet if its on Stake?

Jake Paul is set to fight former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in a boxing match that will be livestreamed on Netflix.

The bout is scheduled to take place on July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Texas and will be available to all Netflix subscribers. Additional information, including the co-main event and undercards, will be announced at a later date. It is being produced in a partnership between Netflix and Paul’s and Nakisa Bidarian’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP).

This will not be the first time Paul and Tyson have appeared on a boxing card together. Paul fought in the co-main event of the pay-per-view that saw Tyson fight an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020, which was Tyson’s first boxing match since 2006. Paul defeated former NBA player Nate Robinson via knockout in the second round in what was Paul’s second professional boxing match.

I was wondering if we would get to see the Mike Tyson from the Lennox Lewis press conference who called a reporter a punk ass white boy and threatened to rape him until he loved him. He is known for saying truly unhinged things but this comment about 16 year old Jake Paul just came off as really weird. I’m not sure if that’s exactly what he said, it’s unclear from his mumbling and stuttering, but that’s what was written in all the headlines. Just when you think this clown show reached its peak level of ridiculousness, something even stupider comes out.

The "fuck you til you love me faggot" comment from Mike Tyson was pretty crazy at the time.  Probably more crazy than his erection comment if we're being honest, but in today's world where celebrities and politicians being into kids is running rampant, this probably wasn't the best look for Tyson.  It really displayed the difference in times that these two fighters were raised.  Tyson's trash talk which is absolutely terrifying because I think he's being real, comes off as gay and bigoted in today's world.  I can only imagine what was going through Jake's head when Tyson said that.  "WTF" would be my guess.

What is this fight becoming? I'm afraid of what will happen until she arrives. If it continues like this, I'd rather they move forward as much as possible to avoid this kind of senseless thing. Tyson's comment doesn't make any sense

He slightly insulted the UFC fighters that Jake knocked out lol probably not his intention but just to annoy Jake that he hasn't KO real men.

https://youtube.com/shorts/EQ--iivPqOI

I really thought Mike would not make those a hype since he hasn't made that remark in the press conference, seems different right now.

I understand what Tyson wanted to do, he is trying to be the same showman as Jake, but this is not given to everyone. In fact, Jake behaved unusually, it still seems to me that he feels uncomfortable with Mayk, and this is understandable when you don’t know how to behave with a legend. There is not much left for the fight, we will soon find out how this show will end, in my opinion Tyson called Jake a fat man, I don’t remember Tyson acting like that before, but I repeat, he wants to seem like a showman, and this is not so easy. I really hope that in the ring Tyson will be able to show the best of what he is capable of.

No, if you have followed Mike Tyson's career, he has said worst specially during his prime. And then the way he delivered it, you will be scared on his facial expressions as if he is really going to kill anyone on his path. And this is just a tone down version of him, maybe just to hype the fight ever more with his comments and it's obviously, him and Jake Paul are putting the last leg on their promotions so it's better be some kind of controversial statement. Few days ago though, there is this kid who also ask both of them about "body count" and cursing and everyone was laughing at this kid and Tyson just commented like where's this kid parent at because of the whole f**k and what not.
