Which the fight could just be DRAW and then all are winners except we're all just paying to watch them shadowboxing each other on Netflix.

Nonetheless, I still would like to see Jake lose against the old Mike if they for once want to impress us all. Mike is not what he is this time unlike back in the days when gets angrier when he learns his opponent isn't knockdown in the 1st round.

We do know that this man is a legendary boxer and its true that even if he's old but doesnt mean that he cant be able to take down those young fighters which the age gap is really that too far off
and pretty sure that Jake is really that aware on whose been fighting into but of course this fight do make that good revenue then he wont really be backing off despite that he knows that he's at disadvantage considering that he's fighting on an old Mike but doesnt mean that he wont be able to pack a punch. One solid counter or jab will surely finish up this fight
but since this is an exhibition fight then they would really be making it a little bit more longer or really just giving a good show for those who had paid off. 

The thing is that if it was some old any other sport then we would understand, but boxers do not age well, all that fighting and all that getting punched, eventually catches up with you and you end up being not at your best self the older you get. Look at how Mohammed Ali passed away, dude was sick most of his life at the end there. Because he was punched so many times during his career, and that is a guy known for being able to avoid punches as well.

Also, I do not think that Mike Tyson has to lose, just because he is older doesn't mean he is not strong, dude still has a punch with him, which means that if Jake is smart enough he would avoid Tyson as much as possible, because I believe one serious punch to the chin could knock out Jake very easily.

It is a concern, but he can do with the money at this point. I think the financial perspective was the deciding factor for Mike, I do not think any amount of trash talk will have been enough to drag him out of retirement after 20 years.

I am sure he can survive and even win the fight in the end, but he stands more to lose than Jake Paul.

That's a big concern for all of Mike Tyson's close friends, people will remember your greatness but they will also remember your last fight, not only age is a factor Tyson is known to consume weed and this might have a big impact on his performance in a competitive fight.
He is good in gym and on sparring but its different when there is no protective gear and you are fighting in from of paying people.

Dana White has express this concern regarding the age difference which he think is not right.

Mike will not be the first boxer to compete after hitting 50 years or age, but what is most striking is how long he has been away from competitive boxing. It has been almost 20 years since he stepped into a ring for a professional fight. But I suppose this is what evens out this match.

Mike in terms of skills and abilities is light-years ahead of Jake Paul, he needs to be thus old and rusty for it to be an even match, but he may just be too old already that the scale will tilt in favor of the younger fighter.

Would not be a fitting end to a great career to lose to an influencer.

I'm not sure if someone has posted the odds, but it seems that Jake Paul is the favorite, 1.61 for Jake Paul and 2.22 for Mike Tyson. Favorite but just slim though. Perhaps odd makers can't take the fact that Tyson has a punchers chance and Jake Paul has the youth advantage.

But we will see if there will be changes in the odds, the fight is still very far but it's good to see what the odd makers are seeing or if the boxing fans are going to agree. I think it's fair though, we've seen notable sports analyst like Joe Rogan siding with Mike Tyson in this fight.

Disregarding technical analysis between both fighters, more people will see this fight since it's Mike Tyson. Those who have never seen the boxing legend in actual fighting in the ring will take that opportunity to watch him live even though many people already believe that the fight is just for entertainment purposes.

I doubt some seriousness will apply to this fight. Exhibition matches are not meant for serious fighting. Aside from that what matters is the revenue that will generate on this match. Mike Tyson as a legend will gather many live views and more subscriptions on Netflix that will stream the fight live.

Jake has more stamina and age is his advantage. Mike more power in his hands and skill. Dexterity + youth vs strength + skill. Better compare both fighters from that perspective, than a youtuber vs a pro boxer. I would watch this fight mostly to see what old professional boxer is capable of. Just look at some other old retired boxers. Fat, clumsy, have problems with coordination, alcohol problem, health problem and etc. I am curious what is left from one of fearsome boxers of all time.

This is the main reason of it all, Tyson would not be fighting a boxer that could potentially destroy his health, so whatever the outcome  of the fight, if it's gonna push through, we should always consider the possibility that it will be just as scripted as wrestling. I mean, there's no reason to expect that Tyson could beat a young boxer, he is great of course, no question about his legacy, but he is "OLD" (I like to emphasized that) and he could not longer go toe to toe in an intense fight.

You know what the outcome would be, both are gonna make big money and both are safe. In short, it's a win-win for them and it's up to us if we will buy the hype and watch it.

Its all about money talks and i dont believe about glory and pride on fighting up someone specially on your retired state and since you are a legendary boxer and have nothing to do with your time with or spent it out
then you would really be considering on agreeing any exhibition fights that would be set it out on which its true that Mike could drag tons of boxing fans around the globe considering that he's popular and known in boxing world on which it would be something that they would really be willing on paying on. So making money would really be easy into something a fight which isnt really that serious.
Most people would really be in concern with Mike's health due to age but i could say that he's still that fine and still pack a punch.

Wondering on why people does have that too much hate in Jake eh? 

He is heavyweight champion boxing legend and has long decided to retire from boxing by developing several businesses that he manages.
When the opportunity presented itself with the legend return to the boxing ring, it was something that was very impressive and attracted everyone interest.
If we have liked boxing for long time, of course we will really miss Mike Tyson fights, so fights like this are one of the fights that many people are most interested in, even though he is old, seeing him still continue to train makes us all know that Tyson still packs punch.
I think Paul will get blow that might make him fall down and not be able to continue the fight, one of Tyson  weaknesses might be his energy which easily gets tired.
He must be able to immediately make Paul fall and lose by knockout if he wants to win because if it takes too long there is possibility that Tyson will be overwhelmed.

Tyson fights because of the contract he agreed to and the amount of money in the contract is very large, in contrast to Paul, who from the start preferred to challenge fighters who were much older than him.
Maybe Paul would be able to get an easy win when fighting an older boxer but this time it was different and Tyson punches at the start of the round would make him regret it.

I'm not really sure what you mean by pride, or it could be that he wanted to give Jake Paul a lesson here as obviously, even at his age, he is the professional boxer here and so he want to teach this exhibition fighters?

But there is also the health concern for Mike Tyson, he is almost 60 years old, we don't want something bad to happen to him inside the ring. Maybe he can still box, but how many rounds he has inside of him?

Mike Tyson himself is a popular name in boxing, so no doubt he can attract boxing fans to watch this fight. A lot are excited to see him again inside the ring. Though his age may not favour this intense fight, but if he knows what he's getting into, he knows how to prepare for this upcoming fight. Paul is much much younger but let us see how he will perform in front of the likes of Tyson.

Sure, money may be the motivating factor for Tyson but I believe, it is also combination of his pride. We don't know the rules for this exhibition fight. But they can easily favour Tyson here. Let us see how this will pan out. But so far, Jake Paul is the favourite on this match. 

There is huge money to be made in boxing right now, with the oil money coming into our sports in the last 3-5 years already, everyone wanted to be boxer, or at least fight out of retirement like Manny or Mike Tyson is doing. This is not the first exhibition match that Tyson had, if we will remember, he fought Roy Jones in a draw (which later to be rigged).

Him and Evander as well if I'm not mistaken supposedly will fight, or Evander getting into exhibition fight but was postponed in the last minute. So again, money could be the motivation for this great boxers to come out again. One last fight to earn $10 million ++ at least.

I adore how Mike Tyson is doing all in his power to resurrect his former self, and even at his advanced age, the man still has some moves. And the reason the man is receiving inspiration is due to the benefit of earning that kind of money. Since Mike Tyson last fought, he has been training again and is determined to win at all costs. This match will be well-attended because fans from all over the world will be watching, and you can only image how much money many will make from simply betting on it. Boxing as money  receiving those blows are not for free. And even if any of them should lose they will still make there money. I hope that ego does not take over him during the match if not it won't end well for him. But if it was for the money then he needs it. Because everyone needs money.

you seee, the big question there is; why is he still not backing off of this whole struggle just yet, when he's got lots and lots of legacies and wealth in-stock? We all knew Tyson to be a great fighter and he doesn't even need more validations to be called "Tyson".. but if he's not careful, he'll end up being beaten in that ring.. i just realized he's got enough time to train.
Anybody that made a good legacy and thus, was retained by the company would still have some dividend at the end of every mega fight...

He is fortunate to still be able to take advantage of the opportunity of making some money through fighting.

This is a good fight that he can win. Francis made so much money from just his two fights even though he lost, shows that there is enough money to be made from boxing.

Tyson is doing the fight for both money and ego.

^ Mike is not struggling and AFAIK he is a Bitcoiner too. He recently earned money when he was on Francis Ngannou's team when Francis fought Fury.  This fight is just materializing because Mike wanna fight as well after all, the exhibition is what famous boxers are doing these days.  Conor Mcgregor even wants to fight Pacquiao so it's making money for both parties. That's why Mike is also up to hype the fight.


Floyd and Logan already fought some time ago. It was an exhibition. Jake I think will make it like its a real boxing fight.

$10 million dollars seems like a lot to normal people, but to Mike Tyson it is probably very concerning.  Enough so that he's taking this fight...  He doesn't have a day job, so it isn't like he has this regular stream of income.  He has his podcast, which he just shut down, that I'm assuming employs a lot of people and costs him a lot to run.  With all the podcasts nowadays, I'm sure he isn't bringing in the same money he was previously.  So I think it really is a situation where he wants a final payday to retire on while simultaneously doing things like ending his podcast to cut his liabilities and give him a chance to be smart with his money going forward so he has a comfortable end of life scenario.
