Latest update guys Jake Paul has officially cancelled his match with Tyson one day ago, I'm yet to investigate the reasons, just quite funny tho, I feel he might be scared to lose to a oldster or maybe doesn't want to fight tyson, what do you guys think 😀,  I was really anticipating a good match from our legend but it turns out, matchs cancelled 😀.

When you said the fight was canceled, I immediately searched for information related to it both on social media and also goggle, but honestly I didn't find a single news related to the cancellation of the fight, I think when you said that it would be good for you to share the source of the information so that we don't get Confused by all the issues that are circulating right now,  Honestly, I personally wouldn't believe it if the fight went canceled without a reliable and credible source of information at this time.

Although I don't like Jake Paul who continues to challenge boxing legends and UFC just for the sake of popularity, but as a fan of Mike Tyson of course I am curious enough about the fight so I really want to watch it, regardless of my desire to watch the fight, I think what Jake Paul did was an abuse of the sport of boxing which does contain high honor and sportsmanship by challenging boxing legends so far,  If it were possible for Jake Paul to box with an active boxer today, maybe I wouldn't hate him, but wouldn't it be ridiculous for a 27-year-old to fight someone who is already 57 years old who he should call grandpa in his honor.

I also still haven’t heard that the fight has been cancelled, but there is still enough time until July for something to happen and the fight to be cancelled.
Regarding Jake Paul, I agree with you that his opposition is not the best, I mean that these are very famous fighters, but who are already aged and are not boxers, but most often mixed martial arts fighters. But on the other hand, Jake is also not exactly a boxer, he started late and if it weren’t for his popularity, which he received not because of boxing, then no one would have known. I want to say that he is no longer interesting as a boxer, but as a famous blogger or whatever he was?!

This will be a very interesting fight. Not only in terms of the boxing skills of both participants, but primarily in terms of the names of the participants. Jake Paul is a household name today, all boxing fans know him, and everyone knows Mike Tyson. Even those who are completely new to boxing don’t understand.
Of course, the fact that Mike Tyson is soon to be 60 years old is very important, but I believe that he still has a chance in the 1st or 2nd round if he hits his opponent well, then with each round his chances will become less and less. Even in his heyday, Mike wasn’t particularly resilient, but now he’s almost 60 years old.

I haven't seen anything about Jake Paul cancelling the fight.  Quite the opposite.  It seems like they're both promoting the fight and Jake's last post on the subject was him confirming that he does still want a piece of Mike Tyson.  On the other hand, there has been some talk about Mike having some serious health problems going into this fight.  His trainer has gone on a PR campaign downplaying Tyson's issues, but it seems to me like where there's smoke there's fire and Tyson is probably taking this fight because he needs/wants the payday for his family.  He is risking his health by doing so.  I hope he ends it fast...
Yes, we have not seen anything, and if this is cancelled then it might be the worst decision for Jake Paul. Everything has been set already, his company together with Netflix and Mike Tyson seemingly motivated and training hard base on videos we have seen. Most likely Tyson will get the money that he is getting during his prime, millions in dollars and good for his retirement and for his family and that's why he accepted this fight. And I think he is given a clean bill of health by doctors as well that's why the fight is going to happen even if he is already 58 years old in this fight.
Fake news doesn't destroy this upcoming match. If that is true it would be easy for Jake Paul to make a tweet or announce it in his youtube channel the reason why the fight is cancelled. But now it's silent, that means it's still gonna happen and maybe these two boxers have started training already even if the fight is still far.

July 20, that's 4 months from now. A lot of things could happen and more hype to be made, so it's a good ample time for them to focus on their marketing to make more people interested to it, and the fact that it's Netflix are gonna cover, they should have not problem with the viewers as they could easily get millions of eyes willing to watch this.

There's just too much money involved for this fight to be called off.  I'm sure Tyson would do anything for the payday he's about to get.  I'm thinking maybe as much as $100,000,000, but that's just a guess.  Netflix is certainly not scared to pay top dollar for good content, and this will probably be Mike Tyson's last fight.  What I really want to know though, is who are we betting on?  I haven't seen the odds yet, so that might make a difference, but I really want Tyson to win and might have to put some money behind him just to try and support the cause from my couch.

Those are fake news, the fight is still on, Jake Paul hasn't posted anything on his social networks about canceling the fight, he even made a post 2 days ago on tiktok where he showed how he is getting the same tattoo that Mike Tyson has in his face:

https://www.tiktok.com/@jakepaul/video/7347112952387980586?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc&web_id=7305193676279924229

If he would cancel that fight that tattoo wouldn't be there.

They will not cancel this fight as they'll both make a good paycheck, who would say not to millions. This fake news are just probably created to make more noise about the fight, it could be seen as negative but the impact is positive. More people will be talking about the fight, there will be more views on the main event.

I'm not sure how they'll get paid, it could be a fixed contract where they'll get a specifi amount..I'm guessing here ( just a wild guess) I think it will be like a youtube video that the basis is how many people are watching and its watch hours.

Don't get afraid with Mike he's fine he's a legend so for sure he's still capable to do what he used to do before in boxing ring. Did you see his latest training? If not you should check this https://www.facebook.com/share/v/3xiBCqP4enBdLHNT/?mibextid=oFDknk I also though he's old already and fighting Jake Paul is kinda risky for him. But if you watch that clip you can see that Tyson is in good condition and its like he never age and can able to dominate his opponent. I'm afraid to watch on what will happen to Jake Paul after watching that clip since Tyson still have that speed and power that's why I expect that he could able to win against Jake Paul in this match.

That clip is only 11 seconds long. A 10 round boxing match is 30 minutes. It’s one thing to look good for an Instagram reel but it tells us nothing with regard to Tyson’s stamina and punch resistance. It’s a nice montage but I would still be hesitant to put money on the 58 year old. Even if Jake is a bum with lousy technique, he is still competent enough to beat an old man who is a faint shadow of his former self. I expect Jake to avoid taking damage in the early rounds and after Tyson gasses out Jake will have no problem landing effective punches. With it being an exhibition I don’t if he will actually try to hurt Tyson but he will do enough to win rounds and try to make it seem like he is on par with an all time legend.

I very much agree with your statement. At the end of the day it won't be a real fight, it will be an exhibition fight where they won't take it so seriously. So I really believe it will just be an exchange of punches between friends
Exhibition is exhibition but you would really be that boggled on why tons of people would really be loving on paying to watch these fights? It do becomes a trend now that with those retired boxers or fighters would really be having those clashes inside the ring on which its pretty obvious on whose gonna win. They would really be setting up these things because they do know that there's money on this one on which i do agree into those common points above that this industry had become a business. Doesnt matter whether an official fight or exhibition as long they could generate revenue
then this what matter the most.

Going back into the fight then i could say that Mike would be still having the power despite of being old. He could knock down Jake Paul without any issues.
Stamina somehow would be in concern considering that he's old.

Yes, I'm one of those people who will watch the fight even if it's an exhibition fight. But the problem is when the fight comes down to that. Two people showing off, with no reality there.

Lol, there is no official word that this fight is cancelled, and it's obvious whoever your source is, it's just for the views and clickbait. If this is true, it will have been covered my major boxing outlets, but so far this fight is a go and their is no proof that this is going to be cancelled.
-snip
yeah, there has been no official announcement on whether the match is cancelled and articles would have been made about it if there was ever an announcement about the match being cancelled.

I think I know why Troytech thought the fight was cancelled. I saw a YouTube video that got recommended to me(for some reason) that has the title "BREAKING: Jake Paul OFFICIALLY CANCELS Mike Tyson Fight Following His LEAKED Sparring Footage!", obviously the title is a clickbait and I never bothered watching the video. he probably saw the same video or a similar one that has a similar title too and believed that it was true.

here's the YouTube video that was recommended to me

And with that, the hype still continues to go on, Tyson releasing the some video of him training and then Jake Paul responding to it. As for the money involved or what could have been the purse split, most probably Tyson getting 8 figures or maybe even higher depending on PPV and live gate sales.

I don't think they're friends though, there could be respect in part of Jake Paul, but if he wanted to really test himself, regardless of who he is facing, he should take the fight seriously and think of it as a pro fight because that's what he wanted to portray in public. And if I'm not mistaken, WBC is seriously tinkering on the idea that they will give him a ranking so that he can become a pro. Anyway, as others have said, this is just a exhibition and money is the main motivation for both fighters. They've released videos of them training specially Mike Tyson, so he is on the boat to promote and how to hype this fight so that fans are going to flock and watch it live and expect a sold out tickets.

There could be a respect on part of Jake Paul but for sure he want to prove something that he can beat a boxing legend so provably we will not see a boring match since for sure Tyson will defend his reputation and he surely doesn't want to get defeated by a youtuber. They are thinking to bring it up on pro level but I don't think they should count this since this fight is meant to be an exhibition fight to avoid any possible casualty knowing that Tyson is old already and Paul is not at pro level and he might got hurt if both of guy will became more competitive if there's a record at stake on that match.

Those videos hype up their fans want to watch and see the result of this match.

Tyson now uses medicinal marihuana which will for sure affect his stamina and allegedly the Tyson's training footage was for Roy Jones fight, filmed years ago. The fight was in 2020.
IMO if the fight really happens Tyson will not win. It's not the same man we're talking about.

Should this fight continue, my money is still on Tyson. Jake can be as technical as he can be and use all defensive techniques against Tyson, but let us not forget that Tyson never expended his stamina on useless moves even during his prime so stamina will not be an issue here. One wrong move from Jake Paul and he will meet his maker courtesy of Tyson's hands. Age really slows people down, but experience also comes with it, and I think Mike's still got the raw power and moves, and that may be all he ever need for this bout

That is true? Jake Paul then is a fearful coward, he gave up his purse and additional fame to fight living legend Mike Tyson.

I was excited and very happy to be able to make some easy money betting on Tyson to win.

Jake Paul must have seen Tyson's training video and probably saw that he would be destroyed in the ring.

I haven't seen any information about him backing out of the fight, so reference link please or never happened Wink

I haven't seen this either and I am highly doubting it.  Jake Paul only fights boxers whom are well out of their prime.  Even though that boxer this time around happens to be one of the all time greatest to ever strap on a pair or gloves, he's still nearly 60 years old, who's about double the age of Paul.  I'm not saying I would step in the ring with Tyson, but for that kind of money I would, especially if I were his age.

The only latest talk in the media is that a doctor warned Tyson that he could die in the ring and told him not to fight, so there's a chance it will not happen because of health reasons.
Also, there are rumors that the training video of Tyson is fake.

Tyson now uses medicinal marihuana which will for sure affect his stamina and allegedly the Tyson's training footage was for Roy Jones fight, filmed years ago. The fight was in 2020.
IMO if the fight really happens Tyson will not win. It's not the same man we're talking about.
