You probably mean the password or 2fa credentials for those accounts. All private keys of JD are with dooglus, of course.

^ Will code for Bitcoins
I'm a little slow: Wasn't this site supposed to shut down? I went to it and it still seems operational.

Betting is disabled. The site is still up to allow people to withdraw their coins.

Would you believe there are still several hundred BTC awaiting their owners?

I guess many of these BTC have their private keys lost. Nobody ever knows the percentage of actually destroyed bitcoins due to negligence. It's not only the sum that was invested in it's peak, there was certainly some investing/divesting cycles going on so the total sum turned around by the investors is probably > 10.000 BTC. Few percents of BTC being carelessly handled is to be expected.

It'll be interesting to see how long until the rest are claimed. I'd bet burnside (from BTCTC) still has user balances waiting to be claimed.

Bitcoin is new, makes sense to hodl.
I do not wish jd reopen as it would be too tempting to invest. I don't always trust operators, but when I do, I do trust doog.

Off-topic: TrueCrypt disappeared. But then they were open-source to begin with. Still, the point is, some people don't really want to share stuff like working code, just in case. He did say there is a 40% chance of re-opening JD, but that depends on how regulations will affect his site.

I think dooglus wont be re-opening :/.. its just a fairytale now

profit %: 0.358918%
bets: 1,269,212,581
wagered: 5,321,023.05358971 BTC
profit: 19,098.09848411 BTC

Yea, but the site was beaten by the whale. Measuring from the day the site climbed back into the black, it turned 1.356% profit (better than 1% expectation).

Period 1: 20 Jun through 04 Oct 2013
wagered: 3,940,640 BTC
profit: 525 BTC
BTC/USD: 105.85 to 120.66

Period 2: 05 Oct 2013 through 23 Jun  2014
wagered: 1,369,938 BTC
profit: 18,573 BTC
profit %: 1.356%
BTC/USD: 120.66 to 608.36

The investor who suffered through period one would have broken even would have done so while BTC was stable against the dollar.
The investor who capitalized on period two would have earned a healthy 1.356% while at the same the value of BTC relative to dollar went up 500%

Wow at some point it was near 0.. How did you solve all the divesting thing? I suppose you had a big decline with investments?

That's the profit, not the bankroll. Notice that it was around -7000 at one point.

You can see the rough size of the bankroll over time here - that's a chart of the balance of the cold wallet where I kept the site's bankroll.

It did drop significantly when the site was doing badly, but was still around 30k.

The instant drop to 15k and immediate rise back up in November was me splitting the coins up into outputs of size 500 BTC and didn't really represent someone divesting a lot and reinvesting.

Edit: The chart linked above ends appruptly when I switched to a different cold wallet address, which can be seen here.

Btw Dooglus, if I remember correctly at one time you had 1.8% profit on DD and something about 0.8% on JD, what happened that it dropped that low in about month or two before you closed sites?

I think you must be remembering wrongly. Doge-Dice didn't open until December 2013, at which point Just-Dice had already been well and truly nakowa'ed:

(the black line is about 30% as high as the green line, meaning a profit of 0.30% of turnover)
Thanks for the stats. Maybe, I got into the bitcoin world last autumn, and was not paying attention to your site until feb 2014.

It would be interesting to look at the Bitcoin gambling sites that allow investment and look at the return on investment : is it always less than the expected return?

Not always, but often:

http://cryptobettingindex.com/dice-invest/

JD performed much worse than expected, and DD performed a little better than expected:

Just-Dice:

profit %: 0.358918%
bets: 1,269,212,581
wagered: 5,321,023.05358971 BTC
profit: 19,098.09848411 BTC

Doge-Dice:

profit%: 1.164336%
bets: 611,254,823
wagered: 91,725,150,532.35952759 DOGE
profit: 1,067,989,011.50250530 DOGE

Edit: I just checked that cryptobettingindex link and the math seems all wrong:

On the 3rd row, -85 is less than -1% of 8.3k for instance, not -0.977%

I think he updates only invest amount and profits on the invest page regularly, all other data is once per month or so..
