Hey does anyone know anything about the Antminer V9. It takes 3 PCIe plugs. They say you can run multiple units on 1 A3++. Can you run 3? Would that give you 12th/s for $900 running with the same power as 1 S9?

Thx if anyone knows !

they r definatly less efficient then the s9 probably most stable probably designed to run off alot of 15 amp circuits instead of the 20's which are ideal for the s9. also last time i checked they were selling these by the batch  (min order 10). im guessing they jst chopped the 3 boards out of the s9 and put 1 in each v9 so u would need power for control and 3 for the board so 4 plugs each and u can run 2 on one of bitman standard power supplies.

Back to 60PH! Let's hope it sticks this time.

EDIT: ...Aaaaannndd, it's gone.

You can't count on the Canaan numbers being reliable for long periods of time, those are testers for the most part and they drop off within a few days.   It's when people like cryptostar and sidewinder show up, that we need to be cheering!

HUZZAH FOR THE BARKEEP!

MINE ON WITH KANO-SAN!

Free mining equipment tracking and reporting
I'm hoping to see some more results from promoting in the next few days. I've been pushing the pool, with Kano's 10btc reward,
directly into the path of Antpool, and Slush users. I have F2pool, and BTCpool, on my list next. Hopefully, these users are looking
to find better rewards, with a much better community. Many of the Antpool users, are starting to understand, they are getting robbed.
I suppose I should try to get f2pool and btcpool monitored on minergain.  That would likely be an interesting set of numbers.  has anyone mined at either of those for at least a few months in their past that still has a login / api key?

the new 7nm chip is comming hard to know what machines but the effincy is gona double
7nm is marketing, not reality.

As I've said before, I bought a new server at home recently, for pool development and testing, latest Xeon chips - 14nm.
Current mining hardware from Bitmain and Canaan is all 16nm.
Latest GPUs are 16nm also with expectation to go to 14nm next.

7nm mining hardware is a long way away.

I'd expect the next mining hardware to be 14nm since there are issues going below that, that I'd expect any company to be foolish to risk doing mining chips below 14nm yet.

Edit: and just for fun: wikipedia says atoms are 0.1nm to 0.5nm Smiley

Exactly - Any announcement that ties its manufacturing to ICO fund raising raises a whole lotta red flags.

I bet you they still put them on two different waybills and you end up paying multiple brokerage fees.  Instead of listing multiple items on the same waybill.

I re read it, those are only 13 TH as well.

Their sales fine print states that they ship together - bullet 4 in the notes.

Ya know, I'm actually rooting for Sidewinder. I hope he gets his 3 full BTC giveaway over the next handful of blocks and spreads the word about the opportunity to be had here.

Three cheers for Sidewinder!

If anyone wants S9's  They have dropped the price on bitmain.  $1915 USD and $2000 USD  SHipping both March 21.

Now, why would they list the same item for the same shipping date with two prices?

Now when they were 1450 in December, I still have not made enough to break even...  so.... 2000 hmmm...  with .0012 per day average returns?

I should buy a bunch for the next craze that drives them up to 8000 USD
It's a tough position to be in. I'm right there with ya--not even close to break even for me, though. I bought my entire setup when BTC was about $13k. Now the Avalon6 is selling for half what I paid on eBay--not sure if it's even recommended to buy them on eBay, though.

Anyway, the temptation is to buy another one at half what I paid to "feel" like I'm averaging out what I paid over both miners... Sounds like a stretch, huh?
