Anyone else see things like that, dropping wallet balance for a time frame?

This is just a small 2 card 750 Ti rig i have running, but that doesn't make any sense to me. It seems shady af to me.

"We are short of this currency (426.66249478 VIVO). Please STOP your miners and switch to BTC until we find more VIVO blocks.
YOU are responsible if you continue to mine for VIVO dispite this warning."

That doesn't make any sense. Why can you not pay me the 2 VIVO you owe me from your stash of over 400?

what about the other people wishing to get paid out in that coin?  This is why payout in any coin other than BTC can be delayed and is subject on the pool mining them to pay you out.  It's a complex process.

I really feel for the hypothetical "other people". I hope they all continue to wait patiently and don't ask any questions about scheduling, minimum payments, why it's not even showing up as one of the neoscrypt coins right now, or why the balance continues to grow (426.96346807 VIVO). I'm pretty sure if it's actually paying people, the hundreds of VIVO coins is sufficient to do so. Then the balance will go down, and it would actually make sense to claim there's a shortage of that coin.  I thought it's supposed to exchange most of the alts for BTC anyways, so why is this pool sitting on thousands of dollars of VIVO for days?

The Key here is
"We are short of this currency (426.66249478 VIVO)."
Meaning that there are 426.66249478 that are owed out to people mining and the pool has 0.

I think a edit to the wording could make that clearer something like

We are currently short (x VIVO) Please select another currency or wait until we solve more VIVO blocks.

EDIT: Side note I have removed lyra2v2 from my bat as it is not paying out even close to the estimate.

Hi,
Im new in mining coin. I have a "noob" question. Please help me  Huh
Due to the high rate of BTC payout's fee, I want to be payout in ETH.
Does Zpool support to payout in ETH? If Yes, how to config it ?
Thank you.

Not according to the webpage - "BTC is the only guaranteed payout currency"

It also states that this pool only pays out in the coins it mines...

I.E.  no ETH.

Does this pool allow me to mine z-coin?
Since supr nova is closing the zcoin mining pool, and I hate miningpoolhub, I am looking for alternatives.
you don't pick the coin you mine, you only pick the algorithm, and the pool serves you work for multiple coins and pays you in your selected coin.   see the zpool.ca mainpage for more, and also reading this whole thread is a good idea.

Ok thx,
let me reiterate my question, does zpool.ca support the Lyra2z algorithm then? ( which is what zcoin uses )
I remember seeing it before, but its not on there now... if it pops back on the list of algos on the upper right of the zpool.ca site, then its active.

crackfoo can comment more, or maybe he has in prior posts....

Right on the home page is the list of algorithms.  Did you bother to look?

Hi, rather new to mining more or less just getting set up, I have got nemosMiner all working nicely and it is bringing in money at zpool.
Just wondering about the Algo switch interval, the default is 120 secods and it looks like quite a lot of the time when 2 algos are close
it can often switch almost every period, it also of course has to hit the API every 120 seconds or so.

Does having such a short period actually help ?,  given that any coins mined are only validated and exchanged probably an hour or so (at best) later
and by then probably have a different value.

Would changing the period to 10 mins or longer hit returns at all ?, I would expect it would lower load on the zpool api !

Thanks

I don't know if anyone has ever experimented or did the calculations.  The only thing I can think of is if someone has 2 exact rigs built and one running 120 seconds and the other 10 minutes.

Currently I'm using Sniffdog and the default is 90 seconds.  Is it too short?  *shrug*.  Who knows.

I've noticed several hour stretches of time where I have blocks accepted, but I don't see payout on the website.  Happens mostly with Keccak and NIST5 algos.

Any insight?

Same here with those algos. I have pretty much disabled down to just blake2s at this point. Verge seemed to be doing ok, maybe just a bad run of luck at the moment. I can say the pool in general doesnt seem to be operating the same as it did a few days ago. May just be miner paranoia. Only thing i know thats changed recently are the Net Neutrality Laws.

Edit - Verge just caught up, looks to be running well.

Hello, I am interested in switching to zpool from miningpoolhub because zpool supports more coins.

It says in setup to set profitability factors in .bat file. How do I figure out the profitability factor for the rig I am using? I will be using a 1070, 1080, and 2 rx 480s for now.

Or is it fine to not set any factors in -p and leave it default?

Thanks for the help!

How does payout works really? I noticed that switching to a pool lets you take part in the payout retroactively. So say I mine lyra2v2 for an hour and I see that blake2s just hit 10 blocks that are in "new" status then if I switch to blake2s I will get paid those 10 blocks even if I wasn't part of the mining of them. I also noticed when I turned off my miner yesterday after finding 7 blocks that was stuck in new that I didn't get paid for them due to my shares going down to 0 since I wasn't mining anymore even though I was part in mining those blocks. This doesn't seem correct? Other sites that doesn't have the new status lets me turn of my miner and I would still get paid. It seems like it just checks the hashrate and shares when it goes from New to Immature not when the block was actually mined.

nothing broke, just lagging behind checking all the blocks.
