The outcome would always be different from people, mainly base from their economic status, a wealthy one or poor. If a wealthy man would do this, I don't think it won't work because, usually they already have the things they wanted and gambles for fun on the other hand, if it where to be done by a poor or mid range, I think the strategy would be effective because, mostly they don't gamble only for fun but, also to increase their money.

In my opinion it will not stop someone from playing gambling if he continues to experience losses, even though the losses
experienced are very large. That there is a make motivation to return to playing gambling again. And hoping to return to
playing gambling can cover losses already experienced. Most people will become more and more addicted to gambling,
and therefore it is very important to have many other activities are more positive so our minds will not focus on thinking
about our losses in gambling.

That completely comes down to the person himself/herself. This technique would probably help in a minor way anyway since most of the gamblers are aware of their profits and losses and don't need to write it down to remember it. Helpful technique, but not in a big way.

If a gambler wants to stop gambling, they will simply make it happen some way or another. On the other hand, if they cannot control their addiction, they will never stop no matter what.

just the task alone - keeping the record of every bet is already a headache. i dont know any gambler doing this strategy. but if this strategy will help some gamblers, thats fine. but maybe if a gambler will do this diligently, he will quit on gambling not because of the losses but because of the task..lol

Its quite easy and when they dont have a clear reason for their decision to stop gambling then Iam sure someone is hard to stop. Calculating the losses that have been suffered may be a step or attempt to stop gambling activities. But at this time, if you are a gambler who only likes to bet on sports matches, then you have the opportunity to stop because no match is played because Lockdown is valid simultaneously.

I used to be a lottery addict, so I had trouble sleeping and when I got to know Bitcoin in mid-January 2017 and I started to be active in forums, my betting activity was almost completely stopped. Therefore, I think the role of substitute activities is also very important in terms of stopping gambling. Without substitute activity, I am sure someone will return to gambling quickly.
It doesnt really need to have a substitute because if you do really like to stop gambling on your own will you can really do it but this will depend on how strong your self-discipline is.
Fate of people will depend on how they do deal up with things and we know on how gambling can devastate one's life if they do cross out the border or simply become addicted to it.

Its true that it is easy to advice someone to stop gambling but if you are on the actual condition it wont really be that simple yet addiction is the hardest part to get rid of specially
when you've been doing such activity for too long.

Well honestly, i don't keep a record. Even though when you compute all my losses in gambling and realize you could buy a new house or a motorbike.
It doesn't keep me from gambling, because i know to myself that when i gamble i fo it for fun.
But sometimes when i loss big time i want to gamble more to get what i've lost in gambling.

It's not that I want to realize that I want to stop gambling I am more of don't want to be disappointed that I'm losing a lot of money from gambling, if you been playing for a long time the sum is higher than what you can think of and you will hate it when you realize that you could have bought something that you dream of buying and that will hurt.
That's adds the pain remembering those high amounts of money that you let go because of this activities, if you sum up everything then you'll
be realized that money is really valuable.
From that point the urge of keeping yourself playing again will be lessen if you do realized that mistake.

You should not look back into those money that you have spent or lost when playing gambling because that would just give out frustrations instead.
So i do see this kind of tallying your losses is a bad idea because it would result out or trigger for you to chase loses instead and play even more which will
result into more losses. If you do really intend or plan to stop gambling then theres no need for you to do up everything but rather stop completely.

If I would be doing that, instead of regretting everything, I feel like I will just get stressed over the idea of how much money I had lost in gambling. If you are an addict in gambling, you probably already know that even without monitoring and recording all of your losses. Would an addict even care about his past losses? They won't bother and will continue to gamble because that's what they like doing.

However, that is a part of gambling your money so you should be prepared for how much money you could possibly lose in casinos. Personally, I don't think that listing all your losses is a good idea. You will just overthink, doubt, and regret your decisions. But, if you will look at the brighter side, you can count all the money you have won. It's a better idea than putting yourself on the negative side, or you could just ignore the past. Continue gambling as much as you want, as long as you know how to control yourself.

What do you think, will Keeping A Record Of Your Losses Will Make You Realize To Stop Gambling?
not a Good idea mate because this is kind of frustrating move everytime you see your losses.
After seeing that you could have bought a new motorbike or buy an expensive watch on all your losses that you have computed.
this will only brings Greed because we wanted to chase those losses and comes out with another failure.

better record you win than losses i guess?

Honestly, I think keeping a record of what you have lost should do something much more than just stop you from gambling, it should show you how much money in your life you could have spent on something that could get you to another step.

Do not forget that if you spend money on business there is a chance it all goes to waste as well, but there is also a chance you end up being a big business owner eventually too. Just couple hundred bucks could get you a decent website with some amazon products with affiliate that you can actually "sell", well you are not the one selling, you are basically a shopping catalog website for the buyers but at least whenever someone comes to your website and buys something they buy from someone else but you get a cut.

This is literally the most common and old trick in the world but you can have one for just a hundred bucks or so. Think about all the money you spend and how bigger and better idea you can get instead of that.

Making losses while playing gambling is part of the process to make gain in playing gambling and you have to learn from your mistake in gambling. If you decided to quit gambling because your are making losses then you will go no where in gambling and I see it as a very bad mind set that can equally affect your trading and investment decision in time to come.

There are two decisions that most gamblers would do if they record their loses when gambling. First is they will try to recover the funds that have been loss by gambling again and second is they will stop gambling (which is what will happen to those who are not a gambling addicts unlike those gambling addicts that will only make them urge to gamble.

That could work but only for a moment. I believe that most people that lose money would want to revover the amount that the gambler loses. The record will be used for different purpose like using it as the base of the strategy and also knowing how much money you really lose since when gambling you could also win but mostly lose.

It's a good idea though so that gambler can use it to check and balance their progress but a real gambler wont quit because of losses because they will always want to win it back.
Yes, defeat will not make the gambler stop because when calculating the loss at least it will only be used as learning and introspection for mistakes and greed because after all, they will return to gamble but after the incident at least they will gamble with better management and still maintain emotions for not being greedy is how they correct their mistakes.

That's probably not gonna work.
Keeping a record will only make you more aggressive to get back those losses because you have the feeling of regret and your mind will push you to play more. Instead of realizing that you should stop when you see how much money you lose, it will give the opposite effect.
And that will also gives you desperation everytime seeing the amount you’ve lost in your gambling activities, why not just let the game go and try mo make a agreement to yourself that there will be a certain amount that will be allocated in betting? So at least there will be no other regret in each time you play either win or lose?

This may sound hard to do but it will help you enhanced your self control and managing gambling habits, from profiteering to fun and happiness .
That desperation will urge you to play even more and in the end, you can't stop yourself from playing instead of limiting yourself.
About the agreement that you can set to your self, it is possible but it is only effective in the early time, in the long run, I doubt that you can still keep that agreement you made to yourself.

Based on some reviews and other peoples perspective, keeping track of your losses may lead to both positive and negative impact. As for example there is a tendency that you would like to earn your losses through gamble again. On the other hand you can also choose to decide whether to continue or stop overspending on loss.
I definitely agreed on the last part because that same thought i have in mind, stop or learn to limit ng spending is what must we decide.
Try to look for the whole possibility, as it was discussed, it may lead to both positive and negative. Don't look only to the positive part that you can stop overspending or learn to limit, there is still this tendency that you act to earn your losses back.

It will just wait for time if you keep on calculating the loss. Calculating the loss in gambling will not make them recover and by counting the total you will only get sad and depressed. It will by no means will prevent you from playing gambling. So why not stop thinking about the past loses and play gambling with new energy and hope.

Playing gambling is kind of gaming platform that if you get addicted on it, whatever you win or lose it is difficult for you to realize to stop gambling, because there are some people that finds happiness on gambling so that it was difficult to them to stop gambling. For me, I didn’t keep record or make record to state of my losses because I didn’t need a record to make me realized that it is the time to stop gambling, because I just play gambling if I have leisure time.
Leisure time and spare money which you are willingly to accept if you lose, from that point you don't need to account each loses that you
made as it is really intend to pay for your leisures.
If you can deal with that then you are safe and you are capable of moving forward once you already done with your games.

All gambling websites allows users to keep track of their profit and loss. A user can always check how much profit or loss he has made by checking is stats. I have seen people with huge losses, but they still play. They don't actually care about their loss. They are "addicted". They feel really good when they make profit. They feel bad when they lose. Then they start running after their losses and try to recover it. Its a thrilling adventure for them. Once they are able to recover their profit, they feel MORE good. Its like a form of drug for them.
Yeah it may help you to stop gambling, but that is true for every cases. If you keep record of things you waste daily and unnecessary spending, then you will eventually stop doing that.
