And how you will understand that casino is trusted or scammer ? In the beginning it is difficult to understand whether a casino will be a scammer or not. And now many scammers casinos sell people's data by making KYC requirement.  So I think it is better to avoid the casinos that require kyc in the beginning.  And in the world of cryptocurrency, I think it is better not to have kyc requirement.

Regulation and license are now the main enemy of the anonymity in crypto world. We cant avoid it, now 90% or even more crypto casinos are licensed and most license has a term related to KYC. Sooner or later, KYC will be something mandatory in all online services where money is involved including exchanges. So if you do not want to share your personal documents to online services, better to avoid all online services where money is involved. Avoiding casinos that requires KYC in the beginning is fine but any casino with no KYC in the beginning may ask your document later.

Well perhaps the same on Roobet.
I was there from the first launching on their website and join the signature campaign, they did not require KYC before but after they gained forum users' trust they changed -- and they required users to have KYC and pass documents proof. I think their strategy was right, from no KYC to becoming a KYC casino but first build your trust and reputation first before people trust your company.
Perhaps there is no wrong with KYC if we trust the gambling casino and already built their reputation --but on the new one, never.
It doesn't some sort of strategy, but they're asking level 1 KYC because of the regulation or license that force them to did that. I believe genuine and trusted site wouldn't want to do that since they're aware asking KYC to all customers would make some percentage of their customers will stop using their casino and move to not-strict casino.

If they're don't follow their regulation/license their casino might in trouble, take a look with Binance how they ask their all customers after SEC comes and cooperate with them.

KYC casino , this is safe and always friendly ,because if you are not hiding anything then there is nothing that will hinder you from laying with KYC complying.

Nope not all because there are few untrusted casino requires KYC and its dangerous for us to comply on KYC requirements they ask because we might experience a serious problem we didn't encounter before, that's why I prefer legitimate big casinos when it comes on this discussion and always stick with them because we can be safe from any further exploits to happen. But eventhough we trust them we still need to be careful on other risk since for sure there will be an issue will float on casino we play and we need to prepare on that.
I think that trusted casino must be the first requirement when you start gambling, all bonuses and KYC costs nothing if the scam is possible. And if the casino trusted i don`t see any problems with KYC. The only moment i want to see in any trusted casino with KYC - the gambler must complete KYC before start gambling but not when he decides to withdraw money.

If you were given a choice, would you play regularly in a cryptocurrency casino WITH KYC, and with added benefits like first deposit/welcome bonuses and cashbacks?

Or would you like to play regularly in a casino, WITHOUT KYC, BUT also without the welcome bonuses, cashbacks and other extra rewards?
This question is very tempting and it is hard to select between the two options. It depends on what the gambler is looking for whether they are interested in bonuses or just want to gamble on a regular basis. Gambling is mainly for profit and bonus too can help gamblers get what they want  easily without stress. As a gambler that is more interested in my security of my identity, in respective of the bonus I will prefer non KYC casino to KYC casinos with bonuses.

I believe Macaw.casino is one of the first gambling services that will have a sign up-less feature, https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/macawcasino-powered-by-the-lightning-network-instant-withdrawals-no-kyc-5405538

The casino requires the user to make an account for now, but if their schedule for new features are on time, it will be removed and the casino will run everything on top of the Lightning Network. THIS is the ACTUAL point when I opened this topic.

Our questions will be answered when sign up-less feature, and no-KYC are implemented.

I don’t think the idea is new. I remember I played on casinos like this long time ago but I can’t remember their names. The one I remember very well is directbet.eu. It was all automated and you didn’t have to create an account or anything. You just send the coins to the address and pick your bet and if you win they were depositing back the money you deposited plus your winnings to your original address. They went out of business sadly.

Many untrusted casinos site asking kyc it is true But why would you use an unreliable casino site where there are many trusted sites available on Bitcointalk  and another platform also. If we do not use unreliable sites.  Then there is no question of kyc here. and if we use trusted site then there are no problem for us to pass kyc.

I'm very sorry, but I don't like to acknowledge, and help promote a casino/service that mainly uses a forked-shitcoin that claims for itself as the "real Bitcoin", when in truth it's nothing more than a social engineering attack vs. Bitcoin and what it stands for. I started the topic with the context of the possibility of Bitcoin casinos being built on top of the Lightning Network, and what our fellow posters thoughts are about it.

Today, it looks normal to just pass on with a KYC from the casino where we're playing. But years ago, that was not really a thing and not acceptable for most users since we'll just defend about crypto = decentralization and there's no need for any KYC.
But nowadays, it's not a problem anymore and we do understand that the governments are the one that's requiring this to them and them, they're just passing it on customers.
If there's no other place that you could run then you would really be ending up on complying on whats been asked by these casinos. If they do require KYC then you have to comply on it before you can play but basing
up with the current market today then theres only a few who do imply kyc and the rest are still on that similar situation where you could just simply play without providing those details or simply still that anonymous.
I dont care about bonuses or cashbacks because we do know that they do really set out unrealistic kind of requirements for some gamblers to be successfully able to make profits with  those bonuses.
If  you are lucky enough then good but in most cases, people do lose all of their money before they could able to reach out such threshold or requirement.

After the popularity of crypto increased rapidly since 2017 or halving in 2016, it seems the government wants to know more about crypto and earn from crypto by implementing taxes for crypto users. Therefore, the government is trying to implement a policy of asking KYC on the exchange to find out who the exchange members are. The government also wants to get more income from gambling because they see the huge earning potential. And it seems that projects in crypto also want to get data from their investors so they also implement KYC for investors. Where this makes crypto investors less like it and for that, we need to be careful if we want to join airdrop programs that require KYC.
I don`t think that this is about casino. I agree that the government wants to get taxes from everything related with cryptocurrencies, but in this situation the easiest way is to get taxes from casino.
Nowadays we give our private data to the huge quantity of organizations but we are afraid of KYC. Why? We hear about stolen data every month at least and it doesn`t change anything in our life.

I stand with Ukraine.
this is not any problem if we Pass kyc on trusted casino site . and which site become active for long time and which site is popular . but i am afraid to pass kyc for new site . i think it can use our personal document for any illegal purpose.
Who says Old sites cannot do anything like that? who will find it happening ?  though they are being trusted this does not take the reality that any leakage may happen as well.
but of course those sites are more trustworthy than new sites.
But KYC requiring or not? who cares as long as it has been proven to be legit and paying so lets play on it.

I believe, trusted old sites don't gather your personal identifiable information. They use third-party services for KYC, and not just any services, but trusted and reliable ones. There you are checked by robots, not by humans. All your data is encrypted, so even if a leakage happens, you are not in any danger.

But, of course, all this applies to you if you are a regular person, not some big money launderer. There are many thousands of blacklisted people, and what the robots are doing is they are checking whether or not you are in the list. If someone feels he/she can be in the list, then KYC can be a problem for them. For other people it's not.

So, answering the OP's question, I would rather register in a casino with KYC and added benefits than in a no-KYC-no-bonuses one.

In that thread, you said airdrop so I guess for airdrop, I'm also not going to KYC just for small money because it's not worth it.
I regret seeing a trend in the world of cryptocurrencies that is gradually increasing - it is an increasing problem to remain anonymous.  But initially anonymity was the most important quality of cryptocurrencies.
And following this trend, now even after a small airdrop, some authors of this airdrop are starting to require KYC.  For many, this becomes an unexpected and unpleasant event.
And by the way, the authors of the airdrop can even reduce their costs because some of the airdrop participants will refuse to undergo KYC.  I think that some cunning airdrop authors even save money on purpose even in cases where you can safely do without KYC.
This has been a very clear tendency for some time, governments were interested in knowing the identities of the people investing behind all of those projects and getting those airdrops, and instead of resisting many developers decided to accept it as they also wanted to have that information for their own use so they could keep promoting their coins to those people, they also decided to use that information to try to avoid people abusing their bounties or simply because they wanted to steal that information and sell it, which is why many people have now decided to stay away from altcoins for good.
