For many investors of ICO judge KYC is unuseful for an small investment and a  disproportionate overhead with limited benfit.

If airdrop is also used by KYC for verification, i think it will be not good to send our private information or id to the scammers. If the bounty will used that it will be ok, but do a research for their project before taking an action.

I have recently seen where bounty hunters were asked to present identifying documents.  Am really against kyc because one of the reasons I joined crypto was the anonymity which it provides. But sadly that's gently creeping away.

Now this KYC has come into airdrops. Imagine am to submit my ID to some I don't know which planet he or she or they are from for some pennies worth tokens.

It's terrible and this is a bad precedence these people are setting.

If as a community we do not say no to this,  then it would become the norm.

You are right, it absolutely makes no sense and goes against the basic crypto principles. It is one thing for a well known and established exchange to ask for personal data and follow through with KYC but it is ridiculous to send your personal info to some random dudes on the internet. I am not saying they will all have malicious intentions with your info but some might and I am firmly against that.

One thing is loosing anonymously, the other one is why should I provide my ids if I'm going to receive just a small amount of coins...

Up to this very moment, I still do not understand why KYC is also required for airdrops. It doesn't make too much of sense to me. It's just a waste of time. If I knew right from start that there was gonna be a KYC for a particular airdrop, I wouldn't participate in it. KYC is majorly for investors.

I total agree with you that KYC is unnecessary for airdrops and this is the bad thing. For my side, I don't join airdrops which requiring me providing KYC. Because I thing that is dangerous. I don't know who he/she/they are and what they will do with my KYC. If they use my KYC and do bad things, I will be effected Embarrassed

If there is an Airdrop requiring KYC I do not think we should participate in it. why is it so difficult to participate airdrop, whereas most token airdrop results are not too much. but this may have its positive value as well, why airdrop obliges KYC. as most, by simply submitting an Email and Cryptocurrency Wallet address, one person can join more than one in an airdrop. and this is certainly detrimental to other members.

I'm definitely against KYC. There are so many hacking incidents and I do not give out personal information to anyone in a circle around many fake ICO projects.

to own opinion and understanding, doing kyc for airdrop is bad and i will personally call it wasting of time. reasons being that no airdrop can fetch u worth of 200 dollars not to talk of 500 dollars, then why will one wasting time doing kyc for such little amount.

I think if you are involved in Airdrops and you are offered to go to the KUS, it already causes suspicion that this company is a scam. It seems to me that those coins that you can get in Airdrops do not cost lost personal data, so you do not need to take risks.

yes it is bad for an airdrop to pass the KYC. not only time consuming for the people, but hassle as well. Airdrop should only be promoting the project and doing simple tasks, because the amount rewarded is only little. Passing KYC treating the people as investors.

Yep, i just choose to do not join them because it is a bad thing to do, it is much more better to join other airdrops that are not asking for KYC or any other Bs of that..

As a matter of fact, kyc for airdrop doesn’t worth it base on the rewards. It is more or less selling ones identity for a token. I don’t fall in love with that. Most airdrops out there are scams already, it’s better we stay away from such airdrops.

Your observations is correct and timely, naturally KYC is meant for investors and not for bounty hunters, investors KYC is needed because of the funds they are investing especially if the money is above $1000 any amount less should not attract KYC.

I think its good to implement kyc for airdrops. It should minimize people making many fake accounts with stolen data to get airdrop tokens. Also if they require kyc then you should be wary of giving out your info.  Do your due diligence and find out about the company or team. Always be careful
They should use some other ways to fight against users who abuse air drops. But asking for your personal information and your ID isn't the best way. And one should not even give away their IDs that easily. "It should minimize people making many fake accounts with stolen data" - here the irony is that, they can steal your IDs and sell it. Most of the ICOs and airdrops are scam. They can use your information you provided to do illegal activities.

Yes ,this is a bad thing. I totally agree with you, sometimes KYC is required to ICOs but for the airdrop ,just say: " NO ". Why would I put myself in the danger of submitting my real identity over the internet to some anonymous that can use it in any illegal way? So forget about them that is a bad airdrops.

WELL, I dont see anything wrong KYCs in airdrops, but i find it not very unnecessary as most of these tokens in the airdrops have very little value attached to them, Plus there is nothing much attached to them. KYC is not as important for airdrops

If you know for sure that the project is good and that it will definitely pay, then I do not mind passing the KYC, but more often projects turn out to be bubbles that are reluctant and can not fulfill their obligations to even Bounty members, not to mention free distributions Airdrops.

Please don't send your personal information through KYC form, for only few tokens. I personally don't participate with airdrops who demanding for KYC. Personally I don't trust on airdrops. Most of them are not needed by the market. They are developed for data collection.
