I have recently seen where bounty hunters were asked to present identifying documents.  Am really against kyc because one of the reasons I joined crypto was the anonymity which it provides. But sadly that's gently creeping away.

Now this KYC has come into airdrops. Imagine am to submit my ID to some I don't know which planet he or she or they are from for some pennies worth tokens.

It's terrible and this is a bad precedence these people are setting.

If as a community we do not say no to this,  then it would become the norm.

Yes that's true if we always say "YES" and honor their required KYC in bounties  this will be a new "NORMS" in all Bounty Campaigns, for me this KYC requirements in Bounties is prone to abuse the worst is they can sell our data if they want and our PRIVACY is at stake!

Normally no one asks KYC for bounties. For some individual cases there can be such requirement, but it is rather exception to the general practice. I personally don't mind KYC, but I find it superfluous to pass it for every ISO / Bounty. There is a good compromise already. Projects can send tokens on special ICO launch platforms like Leecico, Tokeneed, etc. And we need to pass KYC only once for this platform in order to participate in ICO and bounties.

I have experienced it already, the airdrop that has implementing this is a right one. I think that airdrops that required KYC is a good one.

Those who carry out the identification procedure can also be understood. They do not want problems with the law, since they open their projects not anonymously and they can easily be accused of anything illegal.

I think KYC is need because many cheaters around here. If KYC need, we can reject many cheaters, bring justice to everyone
Cheaters is the biggest problem in Airdrops and Bounty campaigns, but KYC doesnt solve this problem! Everyone could buy fake IDs for cheap here or on the black market.

Yes, you're right!
When KYC is asked for airdrop which gives you about 1-2 $, or even less, it's so much action required for this little amount of money.
But, all in all, I don't participate in airdrops actually, because 99% of them are scam.

I think that KYC in airdrops is very bad idea as airdrop is said to be a free token or coin and we should not give our information to them . except bountys , airdrops should not contain KYC .

I am with you in this. This KYC is a kind of barrier the govt is trying to put on the crypto and there are lot of projects who has adopted it gleefully. I also believe that with this, the whole idea of cryptos will die and it'll become another the old fashioned financial system, only system that it'll be using blockchain instead of ledgers.

yep. i think so. Recently there are too many airdrop projects requiring KYC. It is unclear whether the Airpass project is good or a scam project. They will get people's personal information to do bad things. This is a warning. By believing in the seduction from the airdrop will get great bonus should go to work and KYC. This is a big mistake, need to carefully select the project

KYC airdrop is a concern, with a small amount of bonus money not yet attractive to the community. A form of marketing that requires KYC, probably a failure of an ICO project

At first I found normal. But after reading what you wrote, I suddenly felt a bit scared ... I could be ready to do KYC with the bounty, but the airdrop would have to consider if they caught KYC

KYC means - know your customer and that's it. I am against the provision of my documents, cryptography initially assumes anonymity. It seems that KYC does for economy, because those who do not undergo this procedure will get nothing.

I'm a bounty hunter so I don't care if the KYC applies to investors, I just don't want them to ask me for uploading my info all the time, it doesn't make sense for bounty hunters to have their identity verified.

I never joined KYC airdrops and I advise you to be careful when sending your data. Nobody can guarantee that they won't mishandle your info. It's alright if the company is highly rated, but otherwise I am not okay with the idea of them selling our data to somebody.

If as a community we do not say no to this,  then it would become the norm.

I thinks, KYC in airdrops is not an appropriate because its only a free token or coin,so why should they need to submitt our own information, and by this means of rule requirments maybe its our identity will become not anonymous and transparent, and the most vigorous of this it will make treaten our life and investment  soon, because more people knows about your personality, more  people scammers or phishing site's will hacking your personality account.

Why is the kyc even needed they claim that it just to follow instructions or the law, I feel kyc is only needed for those who invest a lot of money to be able to investigate if their sources are pure. Not for free coins worth pennies, I hope we all stand against this, and a change can be quickly made.

KYC is needed because some countries have banned their citizens to participate in ICO , surely airdrops often are part of ICOs and I believe airdrops could easily be mentioned in such laws as well. Project management is responsible of complying with these laws and the only proper way of doing it is KYC.  Because of this KYC will not be going anywhere, the opposite is going to happen - we will see it more often.

My advice do not participate in shady airdrops.
China and the United States have banned their citizens from participating in ICO projects in terms of investing in them, as these countries consider such investment very risky and these states are afraid that their citizens will suffer losses by losing their money. Therefore, the KYC test should not apply to bounty hunters who do not invest in ICO projects.

I agree with you. For Bounty maybe I think that KYC are good to reducing bot or multiply account. But for Airdrop, I think nope. it's only small reward. We doesn't need it.

To my mind for Bounty campaigns it is necessary in order even to exclude frauds among Bounty participants. And as for AirDrop and the KYC required for that you may just not to participants. It is your choice to do it or not.

In some cases KYC is required, even I heard that an undertaking which not doing this is imagined as a trick venture by a few people. In any case, truly, I can't help contradicting that method on the grounds that an airdrop must be anything but difficult to do since the members just get little measure of reward. The members are join airdrop to help the undertaking, right? At that point the engineer should give regard for them.

I am also against distributing my personal data to unknown persons. I choose those companies that do not require documents because I earn money and do not engage in fraud.
To date, there are very few such projects that are not fraudulent and do not require personal data. Of course, if we are talking about airdrops, I generally do not participate in this activity.
KYC only for bounty projects (signature campaigns, not even social networks), no airdrops. Only if the payment is more than 100-200$ I send the documents.
