KYC for bounty hunter that hunt in signature campaign or twitter or facebook is totally and completely irrelevant.  This bounty hunters are like fan of their individual project. They only promote and not necessarily buying.  They are not customers but supporters.

I firmly think that KYC is not a suitable measure for a large number of cryptocurrencies. These don´t have the legal terms of shares and must not require of that approach.

The KYC procedure can reduce the amount of fraud in the bounty. However, there is no guarantee that your personal data will be safely stored by an ICO company.

In my opinion this is not necesary because bounty reward actually not to big money. KYC procedur should be for big investor only. This way only waste time for bounty hunter and bounty manager that handle it, because many bounty hunter only receive about $40 and this is not big money.

We have two main reason: people want to see its real you and you don't have other account in the bounty as they want to ensure you receive as well your rewards.
......!!! Second is that they want your information for something... So I don't argue having KYC for bounty hunter.

I think that in this situation, every participant of the bounty must decide for himself whether he needs it or not. I am negative about the fact that I will need to disclose my personal information to someone.

Obviously I do not like KYC at all, particularly if it is bounty, as it kinda beats the purpose of what crypto stands for. Before only ICOs had KYC but now bounty hunters need to do it also, which sucks, but if they inform you at the beginning of the campaign, no complaints there, but if they ask after the bounty completion, that would suck.
Yes, we do not exclude the need to pass through the KYC. The annoying thing is that it didn't explain the need to pass at the beginning, and then told us that it was needed at the end of the activity. It's really bad.

a good idea is to create a service for KYC. And already this service will give confirmation for ico, and you will not be considered a bot, but at the same time projects will not receive your data, they will receive only confirmation from the KYC project.

I see that members of the ICO team are using this opportunity with purely fraudulent goals. The requirement to provide additional data appears for some reason, not before joining the campaign, when each member of the forum can refuse such accession, and after the completion of the ICO, when the agreed work is already completed and the signatory campaign participants expect to pay the earned tokens. In this case, there is no choice for a signatory campaign participant who does not want to publish his data and provide copies of identity documents. They will in case of disagreement have to just abandon the earned tokens and this is what some companies are counting on. In this case, tokens are already counted and if someone does not claim them, they are simply assigned.

This is a very bad move to the bounty managers. Not all of the bounty hunters are capable of providing prior documents to approve their kyc requirements. Many hunters has still no valid proof documents to support to. It is best that when the bounty manager has a need to have posted a kyc requirements to those hunter before they redeem their rewards, it is best to post it in the news when the bounty campaign is still starting. For the bounty hunters to prepare and gather their documents before joining.

I guess it all depends on how their policies for taking of gifts. Using this will certainly difficult KYC due not necessarily also they have a passport. That project may be very nice and could be said to be successful so they need KYC.

Avoid, new precedent trying to be set, the more people the give in, then you'll have to give you info out for every single airdropped/bounty out there.
It's very dangerous for you to trust these non-reputable individuals with your information and for the future of cryptos as a whole, yet no one is discussing this.

You can blame Polymath for this, they don't want to work harder filter to filter puppets, so instead they want your ID.

Edit: There is probably nothing we can do to stop this, because the vast majority of people trying to do airdrops are very likely to hand over their info without a second thought. This has major repercussions, some of the worst repercussions we will see ever in crypto.

The best thing you can do if you're reading this, is to not give in to these new information whores, who are more than likely to flip your IDs on the darkweb for a profit.

I agree, it is not a good trend and I fear it will only become worse in the future. Pay attention by sending your ID documents to the ICOs!

Yes, that is right. Be careful about where you submit your personal details because this might end to identity theft. I think bounty campaign or the campaign manager itself will tell us from the very start of the campaign that its campaign will be requiring KYC so that bounty hunters that do not want KYC will avoid or won't join the campaign.

KYC is not required while marketing or promoting their projects  Without a doubt KYC is not necessary for bounty hunters. KYC stands for Know Your Customer. A bounty hunter isn't a customer. They do not invest and they are not buying anything.
KYC is to prevent terrorism and money laundering. Its  just a way where hard earned coins weren't received by the promoters

i do agree with some KYC to protect bounty campaign from many scams and multiple participants, but i think it shoul be better to arrange the KYC in the beginning of bounty program. so peoples doesnt feel like wasting their efforts if doesnt fit with KYC. as long as they keep our privacy after KYC and not take advantages from it with any irresponsible behaviour. Doing KYC its mean giving your legal data or privacy to someone you even didnt know or meet before, the risk are very dangerous.

KYC for Bounty Hunter is a disgrace! Do not you have so much bad stuff with database filling? What even with the Bounty Hunter decided to tear off the skin of anonymity? It's a shame!  Angry

For the majority of the investors of new cryptos feel KYC is uncalled for for an meager contribution and a  superflous obligation with unwanted risks.

There are so many ICOs these days and so many scammers have taken this as a chance to run away with millions of dollar whilst if they ask bounty hunter to do KYC proceeding then hunters could also get in trouble. I think the forum admin should look into this

The anonymity of cryptocurrency is at stake with the introduction of this kyc. But bounty hunters have no option. Because if you refuse to provide your information, you will also lose your hard earned tokens.

It is very dangerous if you provide KYC info to bounty managers as a condition to follow their program. This could be misused by them, so stay alert in every bounty, keep your data confidential if you do not want to regret it in the future.

Can you give me more examples of how my data can be used against me by dishonest criminals? I've heard paranoid theories that my passport will be scanned for a rental car in Africa, and then I'll be caught by Interpol on the beach in Miami. But seriously?
