This week Sevilla has been successfully taking over first position from Barcelona but i was highly doubt they will last long on that position because soon or late Barcelona will back to that position but in my view if they can able to maintain their performance until end of this season i think Sevilla at least will finished the league at champion league zone
This is by far the most competitive season in La Liga in recent years, this time there're five teams challenging for the title, usually it was limited to three teams. It is pertinent to note that La Liga giant Real Madrid is not in the title race for now, and teams that were at the bottom are suddenly on the top. I'm keen to see if Sevilla can maintain their current form, and win the title it'll make La Liga very exciting once again. Barcelona and Real Madrid need to step up their game or risk loosing their control over the league.
Yeah just read the espn piece about La Liga being the most exciting league at the moment but actually, there's a lot to look at around the big leagues.
We are slowly seeing the old hegemonies of the past decade or so slowly losing out to new money ...united, chelsea in England or say even Monaco to PSG.
But we're also seeing exciting coaches find success, though not yet with the trophies to validate their brands. Napoli came close, Liverpool and Spurs farther behind but look at Dortmund again in Bundesliga.
Not dissing La Liga by any means but this early on in the season is too early to say if Sevilla or Espanyol or any other pretenders have the staying power of Napoli or Dortmund. Far, far too early.
