I believe Fernando El Nino Torres has got  some more years he can still play active football and he shouldn't let this Europa trophy retire him. He can go ahead and even win the champions league with the team next season and now that it is being rumoured that A. Griezmann is going to Barcelona I think Torres can be very useful for the club next season.

So, La Liga season officially ended. And results of matchese weren't important on last round.
Fernando Torres ended his career in Atletico Madrid by scoring 2 goals against Eibar. Great way to say goodbye!
And today it was last match for Andres Iniesta in Barcelona. 16 seasons, 32 trophies. Amazing player and personality. Hard to imagine Barca without him.
Legend of Real Sociedad Xabi Prieto played last match in his career tonight.
I can't remember season when so many legendary players left their teams or retired - Iniesta, Buffon, Carrick, Toress.
P.S. I think we can name 2 teams which will join La Liga from Segunda division - Rayo Vallecano and Huesca, while teams which will finnish in 3-6 positioons will play play-offs.

They were pretty important, if only for Athleti to confirm their second place finish (courtesy of Villareal's earlier result of course) but yeah, Athleti were a goal short of a perfect hattrick ending for El Nino, of whom I have the fondest memories of during his time with Liverpool. Still a great send off for one of their greatest sons.

What a night to say farewell to local and national heroes, but you're right, this season has really really made me feel so old, to watch these guys fresh-faced and to see them straining at the end, reminds me that I have aged as much as they.
I still think that Torres indeed have a few years within him and he shouldn't be retiring at this moment. Maybe a move to the USA will be on the move for such a talented individual. There is a host of European players currently in the USA.

Of course i don't think he wouldn't go for his retirement package in either China or USA before hanging up those boots because that has been the order of today's footballers. I even think he can feature a few more European clubs before moving out of Europe just like Ibrahimovic did.

Coutinho is an ideal replacement for Iniesta though he can't fully fill the gap there and there are rumors that he might go to join Pep Guardiola as a sort of Player-Manager deal, I am assuming he also has plans of becoming a manager in the near future as well.

Still goalless in the game between Barcelona and Real Sociedad, and with  their unbeaten streak ended, Barcelona have no passion anymore because the likes of Messi have been all rested for the last game of the season.

Bilbao will host Espanyol, but Bilbao missed defense and midfielder players, and Rudi Garcia is also among the missing. Espanyol have collected 10 points in the last 4 games and they want to win this game. Bilbao is well below expectations this year. I expect both teams to be open and the prediction is over 2,5 goals.

Well that was a disappointing match from Real Madrid.
They were up 2 goals by the second half and took Ronaldo off after scoring a goal.
Then the wheels fell of and Villareal put in two to make it a draw.
If they were going to pull him out after scoring a goal why put him in at all if he is resting for the world cup!? Roll Eyes
Lot of gamblers are going to lose money this weekend due to this shocking loss and with Bayern Munich lossing to Frankfurt as well. But Madrid fans were be happy to see Cristiano Ronaldo return from injury and score a goal as well.

Sevilla's morale is in good shape, 10 points from the last 3 games. Alaves's performance is not good, but they has won 3 of their last 4 games. The fire of Alaves did not fall, but they are nervous about that meeting with Sevilla. I think Sevilla will gain at least 1 point.

Atleast 1 ? It will be an easy win for them before the match I have been predicting this already. As the result for this, you can see that the score is currently 1-0. They could have score alot more but it seems that most of this match is nothing more than just boring match for the team because this is their last match on the league for the season

Barcelona lost to Levante 5:4 and experienced first loss in La Liga this season. Messi wasn't in squad today, but it's not reason why Barca lost. They just played on vacations mode and didn't wanted to get injuries before upcoming World Cup. And when Levante scored 5th goal Barca finally started to play and was close to amazing comeback. Barca played in not their main squad, but it was strange that most experienced players like Alba, Sergio and Suarez were most awful tonight.
It's sad that Barca didn't ended season without defeats, but Levante deserved to win, they are in amazing shape in recent weeks. And I can't remember when Barca conceded 5 goals in La Liga last time.
No doubt in your saying because Barca is not a club that one can imagine to lose against Levanter with very much ease. The only reason that can be true is the World Cup. We can easily see this thing that they didn’t show any importance to this game as they benched the playmaker of Barca; the Lionel Messi and he is the only player without whom, Barca can never ever play big matches.
I think they should have treated the game as being very important since they wanted to complete the season as the only unbeaten club ever in the La Liga and Messi wasn't even on the bench on the said day.

Barcelona won the King's and League titles in the season, but the defeat of the Champions League means that this season has basically ended, the only task is to be able to complete the season with unbeaten record!

True that champions league defeat has left a bad taste in the mouth of Barcelona administration and I'm sure they'll be eager to fix this mess. If they end this season unbeaten that's also a very good record #whoneedsNeymar.

I think Barcelona needs to sit down and release few players and then recruit some, honestly it's very difficult whom should they release all are so good but hard decisions will be made sooner than we think and messi is the guy who's calling all the shots.
Barca no doubt is one of the glorious club in the history of football and they have done things in football that no other club is seen doing but I wonder why they lost champions league this season. Just because of Messi’s bad play in one game, the whole Barca team was thrown out of the champion’s league. This clearly shows that Messi is a bigger player than Cristiano Ronaldo.
Even when Messi was absent from their game against Levante, did you see how awful they were in the game, It was only Coutinho who stood out in the game, the likes of Suarez were all ineffective, I shudder to think what will happen when he leaves the club.

Without the argentinian the team will probably go back to the old Barcelona, a competitive club in the national league but completely irrelevant in the european tournaments (Barcelona before Messi: 1 Champions League / Barcelona after Messi: 5 Champions League)...or maybe not, who knows. But the Barcelona fans should be happy that Messi is far from retiring right now.

Speaking of Messi, here's a recent interview from him: http://www.marca.com/en/football/barcelona/2018/05/15/5afb21b1e2704e547c8b4608.html

Apparently, he doesn't like the idea of Neymar, his friend, joining Real Madrid because he knows that the brazilian can make Real madrid better. He even told him that, but I wonder if Neymar will be loyal to his friend and to Barcelona (let's not forget that his dream has always been to play at Real Madrid)
If Messi is speaking about the issue then it means that Neymar is almost on his way to Real Madrid who have tabled a bid of about 250M Euros for the Brazilian. He should have gone to Real Madrid when they initially come instead of taking this long detour.

I am not debating bu Real wasn't in good pace before Ronaldo came into Real Madrid. For Ronaldo Real have win 3 title of UCL.Messi is a great player but not comparable to Ronaldo.Because these two player's play differently and no one can finish discussion on this topic.

No Messi No Party. Probably the worst Barcelona game this season after the one against Roma.

So this is why Valverde didn't rotate the Messi throughout the season, without the argentinian the whole team just falls apart, and if you add the terrible defensive display from Semedo, Vermaelen, and Yerry Mina, well, things go from bad to worse.... Also, the fact that Vermaelen was replaced by Pique when the team needed more goals just shows how bad the Barcelona bench is. They really need some quality players on the bench for the next season, they can't have the likes of alcacer and denis suarez as their main subs when things go south.

And they just managed to get a draw with just 10 men against Real Madrid just a week ago, and I thought that was their toughest game left...props to Levante, though, the team has been great since they hired Paco López

And I can't remember when Barca conceded 5 goals in La Liga last time.
This is the first time since 2003 that Barcelona concedes 5 goal in La Liga.
This was shocking performance for me from Barcelona they concede 5 goals first time 15 years this was surely heartbreak-on but Levante done good job in this match
