I read about that several times and I wouldn't argue with statistics but Xavi made a good work by rebuilding the team. Before him Barcelona was doing horrible football, before Messi departure and just after it under Koeman management. Xavi back then was like the saviour and Barcelona moved forward with him. The situation isn't very good for now but Barcelona kept hovering in the first spots. As far as I remember, Barcelona was like in the 15th spot in the previous year?

A lot of things can change because the league is only 11 games. I believe in the capacity that Xavi has as Barcelona coach, and I have no doubt he is bigger than Koeman in the past. There is no time for Barcelona to play defensively, meaning they have to attack completely for this match, as they have no other choice but to win this game. But the downside is that if you attack in total, it will certainly create gaps in the back line, that's what they have to anticipate. The only gap that Atletico Madrid can use to infiltrate the top rankings is the consistent loss of the team above them and that seems quite difficult to happen.

I think that the Sociedad-Betis and Athletic-Villarreal couples deserve much more the status of the central games of the tour. The leaders play against too weak opponents, and here there are approximately equal forces in the first pair - 4th place against 5th, and in the second pair, the teams have generally all the same indicators - the number of wins, draws, losses, and even the same goal difference +7. Pretty hard to predict who will win here.
