El Clasico will always be El Classico but the fact that two of the best footballers have been nominated in the football world for probably the longest period of time made the El Clasico a lot more worth it to watch. And obviously, as these two are the best players in the world they even pulled a lot of neutral fans also.

I still remember there was the time when Ronaldo and Messi both left the Spanish League, I felt like the El Clasico absolutely did not feel like the El Clasico. But things change and so do people. I will say that interest is there even though it is not at that level.

Honestly? I believe that it is not as much competitive as we imagine. Yes, it is competitive in the sense that one team doesn't dominate the league every year, there are other teams that won and that will be the case.

But here, we have only 3 teams that wins it, for the past 20 years only 3 teams won and one of them won it just twice, so the other 18 was divided into two teams and will probably go on like that for a while. You could say the same thing about Real Madrid as you did about Barcelona... They lost Cristiano Ronaldo but didn't play worse and won La Liga again... Maybe it's the coach, not the missing star...
