There is no Szczęsny's name on the list of players, in fact Hansi Flick had to rotate several of his main players such as Lamine Yamal, Balde, Raphinha so that they remained fit after many previous matches. Basically, Hansi Flick doesn't underestimate Ossasuna, but using lots of young players is a risk he has to consider.
Barcelona did not start well in the champions league, that must be in the target for Hansi Flick, the reason Yamine Lamal and Raphinha are on the bench today replaced by Torre and Feran Torres. I do not doubt Barcelona's ability to maintain the perfect start they have had to the season even with the massive team rotation. Each player given an opportunity in this Barcelona team from what I have observed really understands the role that the coach expects them to play, and they do it really well. Robert Lewandoski still in striking for Barcelona, he should score.

To be simple and clear I can say Barcelona is clearly not strong enough to play in the Champions League and they won't be able to beat the stronger team considering the situation in this tournament and we all know why, That's because Barcelona doesn't have superstar players and experienced players in this team and Flick had to use the young talents to have a cheaper team and avoid spending too much money and the bad financial situation of Barcelona is the main reason for it.
They have Robert Lewandoski who can have a good performance, but Barcelona has no other players to fill the place of Lewandoski in this team and there is the same situation for Lamal.

But the performance of FC Barcelona doesn't show that they can not perform well in the champions League this season following how they started this season, I understand that they lost in the champions League competition against AS Monaco but that look came as a result of the red card they received in the game. The team has no big names to Ike they used to have in the past but the coach has been trying to manage the players in his team right now and I believe they can end up getting better and better if they are able to manage the players in their best performance.

About the players you mentioned, the team is struggling to survive the financial crisis they are into finding a backup for Lamal and Lewandoski is not possible at the moment unless they will recruit young players from their youth team.

I didn't expect such a score from Barcelona. Losing to Osasuna is one thing, conceding 4 goals is another. Almost every Osasuna shot on goal was a goal. I think Barca needs to solve the goalkeeper problem as soon as possible, they can't spend the whole season with Pena. I didn't think they would be looking for Ter Stegen so much. If you don't have a very good goalkeeper your chances of winning the championship are seriously reduced.
The rotation also might have had this result. Normally, Flick would start with Yamal and Raphinha. He couldn't play the game he wanted when he had to play a lot of kids like Victor and Martin at the same time. It's an important loss, but for a team that started 7/7, losing one game is an affordable luxury. They will learn from the mistakes.

Are you literally asserting that one of the goals was a goalkeeper mistake? I don't know whether you saw the goals or whether you just see that ter Stegen is injured and no matter how shitty Barcelona plays, it is instantly a goalkeeper problem. Lol, seriously. You should watch the summary of the game and then really please let me know whether you are still arguing that another goalkeeper would have saved a single one of the balls that hit the back of the net. I argue that the new goalie couldn't defend a single one of those shots that gave Osasuna 4 goals. Impossible. No Neuer, no ter Stegen, no Courtois, not anybody.

Yeah I also can't believe how Barselona played such a bad match. 4-2 against teams like Osasuna. It was by no means expected.  Barcelona are still Top 1 in the points table but they probably won't be on top for long if they keep playing easy matches like this. Real Madrid is waiting for this opportunity. Barcelona lost an easy 3 points today. this is a negative sign for Barcelona. I was not prepared to see such a performance from Barcelona

Well, the defeat was quite surprising because from the beginning they were quite favorites and the probability of winning even though playing away was still very large in this match but they actually had to surrender with a fairly large score.

Pena didn't seem to have a good impression in this match because after several matches he was in the line up, he finally felt how a defeat with a sizable score and 4 goals nested in their goal. But even so I will not blame him because looking at the situation of the goal it is also not the fault of the goalkeeper, it's just that the defense, especially for the post guarded by Kounde, looks a lot of gaps because he overlaps too often to help attack which is precisely this is well exploited by Osasuna.

This is the first defeat in La Liga and the second defeat in all domestic competitions they have done and of course this can be a good momentum for Madrid to catch up with the current 4 points especially since they still have 1 match left to reduce the point margin if it can be utilized properly.

Lost at half time with a score of 2-0, and now entering the 80th minute Osasuna is leading with a score of 3-1 and it looks like this will be Barcelona's first defeat with a very big score because they lost to a mediocre team. In fact, the last time Osasuna beat Barcelona was in mid-2020, and from the end of 2020 to the beginning of this year Barcelona always managed to beat Osasuna. So, with a defeat with a score like this, of course it was a  big defeat for Barcelona, who also had a series of lucky wins before and were destroyed by Osasuna.

To be honest, I also bet on Barcelona to win this match, because I believe Barcelona will still be able to be consistent with their winning streak. Moreover, I also considered Barcelona who were still able to beat Osasuna when Barcelona was having financial difficulties or in the Koeman era at that time, Barcelona still managed to beat Osasuna. But in reality, my predictions and my bets also lost because it seemed that many of Barcelona's key players could not be played due to injury.

This is truly beyond our expectations because so far Barcelona has always been consistent in every match they went through 7 matches perfectly but unfortunately in today's 8th match Barcelona had to lose of course no one thought this would happen because the worst result was a draw but it has happened. Now Real Madrid have the chance to keep getting closer and if Real Madrid win their next match then they will be just one point behind so that means the competition will continue.

Tomorrow Atletico Madrid will face Real Madrid who will come as the away team, based on the last 7 matches both teams have never lost does this mean they will draw? If Real Madrid is the home team then I think there is no chance of a draw but this time Atletico Madrid as the host and it's not easy to beat them at home, then there are 2 choices, home team win or draw.

I wish I knew what the odds were for Osasuna to win with a handicap of -2. Probably something around 50.0  Grin
As for rotation, Flick changed most of the defense/midfield too. I wonder if he really believed that it would be an easy game and he could experiment here without problems?

Update: Yamal scored a goal, but the score still didn’t become decent after that, 4-2 is too much.

Well the handicap you are talking about was indeed -2.5 at the time of you writing the post. It must have been huge. Barcelona winning the game was like 1.55 or something and Osasuna was around 7.0 or 6.5 or so. Put on top of that a -2.5 handicap, that was definitely huge.

As for the rotation, I think it was bad by Flick to exaggerate like that. When I saw how many players he rotated, I already had a feeling that Barcelona is risking a big chance here to be the big winner of this weekend. Real Madrid and Atletico stealing points from each other and Flick thinks it is time for rotation.

You guys recall that Flick was giving a press conference where he said that he should have given one player who got injured more breaks? Maybe this was his response to his own statement that day.

I don't fully understand his decision as the Champions League game shouldn't be that hard. It's not like they are up against Inter Milan or another team one that level. Young Boys Bern next and then he goes for such a rotation against Osasuna, which by the way shouldn't have been underestimated in the first place.

Young Boys beat Galatasaray twice to get into the Champions League, apparently Flick (quite logically) assumes that after the defeat to Monaco even a draw with Young Boys will be a serious blow to Barcelona's prospects in the Champions League. Maybe not even in the tournament sense, Barcelona will score enough points to get at least into the preliminary playoffs, but in the psychological/mental sense.
The problem with rotation is that it always comes at the wrong time when the result is not achieved. If Barcelona had won today, no one would have criticized Flick for experimenting.

I really didn't expect Osasuna to go beyond expectations by beating Barcelona 4-2 today. This is Barcelona first defeat in La Liga, which will indirectly give Madrid the opportunity to reduce the points gap. Hansi Flick's decision to rotate players is very understandable, but the decision must be paid dearly by losing points to a mediocre club. In the future, Hansi Flick must be wiser and respond faster to his team deficit, they look like a different team. Starting the match without Yamal and Raphinha made Barcelona front line lack creativity, even though they dominated possession up to 75%, it was not always effective in winning a match.
Hensi Flick underrated Osasuna in this game, and the result was not as expected. I think we all did the same thing as him by underrating Osasuna because Barcelona used to win them in almost all their matches I am referring to their last five matches, and because of this, even bookmakers gave Barcelona small odds because they expect Barcelona to win the game because they are in a good form and has not yet lost any Laliga match so far.

Flick rested some players because they lost their first Champions League match to Monaco, so they will try everything possible to win their next Champions League match against Young Boys, maybe that is why he wanted to rest some players since he underrated this match. Nevertheless, it's over, and they lost their first match of the season.

On the other hand, Osasuna performance today deserves appreciation, they have provided a valuable lesson that not always a favorite club can win. The additional 3 points make Osasuna now rise to 6th place in the standings, they have collected a total of 14 points from 8 matches. Meanwhile, Hansi Flick must fix his defense which is quite porous, conceding 4 goals in one match is clearly too much. Despite all that, Barcelona certainly still has the opportunity to continue to maintain its position at the top of the standings in the future.
Thats football, never underrate any team because anything can happen. It is either you win or you lose, but never think your team has won it all until the end of the game.

Barcelona played defensively in the first half but conceded two goals and fell behind. Barcelona started the second half well. Pau Victor managed to score a goal. But in the 72nd minute, Osasuna scored a goal from the penalty spot to lead the match 3-1. And I don't see any chance for Barcelona to make a comeback in this match.

Suprise to see Barcelona losing with this margin to Osasuna but despite the lost, Barcelona are still top of the table and even though Real Madrid wins their next match which isn't in doubt that they're going to win but still they can't top the table as Barcelona will still be one point ahead but as they lost this game and missed their chance of going 4 points ahead, I hope it doesn't come back to hurt them when the race for the title becomes more intense. Barcelona started this game poorly and that's why they lost, before Barcelona could come back into the game, Osasuna was already leading comfortably. The game has ended and Barcelona lost, Budimir scored twice for Osasuna.
Osasuna was such a good team, I was really surprised that they defeated Barcelona with such a crushing advantage. Barcelona's defense wasn't very good anyway, but I never expected them to fall apart this much, I guess no Barcelona fan expected it.

Lamine Yamal came into the game late and scored the goal, I think he should have been on the field at the beginning of the match, maybe he could have changed the fate of the match if he played longer.

14 for 1.75, it wasn't that bad, after all, I was just 5.5 for Osasuna to win, and that already implied 1 goal difference.

Probably a lot bet on that winning streak to finally end thought this was the right moment and they pretty much nailed it.
The funny part is that somehow everyone who praised Bracelona as being invincible is making a Pikachu face when things don't keep happening like it's written in he starts they will keep winning

To be simple and clear I can say Barcelona is clearly not strong enough to play in the Champions League and they won't be able to beat the stronger team considering the situation in this tournament and we all know why,

So just because they lost a match they are no longer Champions League material?
Who will be left based on these criteria in two rounds?

It is quite complicated to understand the decision taken by Hansi Flick regarding the starting line up of his team, especially since he trusts too much in their two young defenders who are rarely given playing time. Gerard Martin, Sergi Dominguez and it has an impact on the performance of Pau Curbarsi who also played underperform. Moreover, the goalkeeper is Inaki Pena who conceded 4 goals in the match against Osasuna. In midfield, it is not too bad even though it is not the best choice. In the front line, I do not understand why Pau Victor was dropped into the main starting line. It seems that Hansi Flick just realized that his decision was too risky and reckless with his starting line up in this match, even though Barcelona was superior in controlling the ball. IMO, if Flick wants to save his players' energy for the Champions League match later, at least he plays players who deserve to be the main starter. Or at least, some core players are played in the first half and then replaced by some of his young players. I hope Flick has learned from the defeat in this match, especially Inaki Pena who is difficult to rely on to guard Barcelona's goal firmly.

Ossasuna will eventually secure 3 home points in this match considering they have scored 4 goals. Barcelona are 4-1 down to Ossasuna and this is really a result that was very unexpected to happen. What can be done, it seems like everything is over.
I can just imagine the number of betslips that Barcelona has spoil tonight. They lost unexpectedly and Hansi Flick must surely regret the team rotation now. I was thinking that the young players that have been given an opportunity to star will be able to impress the new coach but they failed and put Barcelona in a very bad position and even before the key players came back in to try and remedy the solution it was already too late. Real Madrid fans will be happy with this drop in points because Barcelona were looking unstoppable when the season started.

Barcelona is at its best now. They are trying to win most of their matches but it is obvious that Osasuna is most determined to win Barcelona on this match. I have to be very honest with you that if we are to predict what will happen as an end result to this match, I will predict the exact otherwise of this moment.

I think Hansi Flick was very confident with this Barcelona squad. And he probably thought Barcelona would win against Osasuna even if they played their second tier squad. But in the end, Barcelona suffered their first defeat of the season. Barcelona lost the match 4-2 against Osasuna.

Barcelona's performance in the first half was very poor. Barcelona played defensively, but conceded two goals. In the first half I did not see any strong attack from the Barcelona players. A slow performance in the first half was one of the reasons for Barcelona's defeat. If Barcelona were attacking in the first half, Osasuna's players would have been under pressure and they could not dominate the match.

However, despite the defeat in this match, the top spot in the table is still occupied by Barcelona. So Barcelona did not suffer much loss. But if Barcelona fail to win the Champions League match then Barcelona will face big loss.

Who is disappointed with Barcelona performance today Grin? 4-2 is quite annoying. Did Barcelona underestimate Osasuna before playing? They felt they were already at the top of the standings and Osasuna were easy to beat so they were shocked to see the bitter reality that Osasuna actually destroyed Hansi Flick strategy very easily. Yes I admit that Ter Stegen's absence made Pena very easy to break into. The first defeat in La Liga put Barcelona in danger. The difference from Real Madrid pursuit is quite thin and can be overthrown at any time.

The bookies have again managed to deceive the gamblers, because most of them bet on Barcelona victory.

Tomorrow Real Madrid will also be challenged to win against Atletico. A much more difficult match, tight and quite heavy if they have to bring 3 points from Atletico Madrid headquarters.

I can understand why he left Lamine Yamal and Raphinha out for this game, but Sergi Domínguez for 85 minutes was his biggest mistake. Hansi Flick could have played Eric Garcia at centre-back and trusted Marc Casadó to partner Pedri in midfield, but Flick had other plans. The experiment failed, but Barcelona were woefully unlucky with some of their big chances.

Sergio Herrera deserves the man of the match award in my opinion, of course because he really managed to stop Barcelona's efforts to prevent defeat. There were some important saves in this match, but he made a mistake to concede the first goal.

Update: Yamal scored a goal, but the score still didn’t become decent after that, 4-2 is too much.
Nothing changed, Barcelona lost. Ferran had a great chance to score, but unfortunately his header still hit the post. He was the player who wasted the most chances, he failed to score from all the chances he had.

In his reasons Hansi Flick did not underestimate Ossasuna, but it was a difficult decision for him in this match. Lamine Yamal and Raphinha needed rest to be physically prepared for the Champions League, but as a consequence Barcelona's performance was very bad. Barcelona's defense in this match was really problematic and Hansi Flick didn't have many other options when several defenders were injured, so this defeat had to be accepted.
