I'm not surprised at all. Atletico always play like that boring af, real madrid giving a good fight though but yeah this derby that i was waiting for but end up with 0-0 boring game. A good result for both teams though, so both team got 1 points from draw.

Knowing the way Atletico has played in recent years, and as Zidane began to devote more time to defense, this was expected.
For several games Real didn't receive a goal and started playing as Atletico on his best days Grin

If you look at the match from beginning to end you definitely see that they have tried their best to get the win. Especially for Real Madrid, they might not want to just draw or want to lose from the start. But what they faced was a big team or their rivals. So it will be difficult to win.

And for Barcelona, it was actually a difficult match too. They have not been able to score a goal in the early minutes and could only score after 4 minutes before the first half ended. But that's the good thing about Barcelona, when their rivals draw. They can get 3 full points in the match against Getafe.

Barcelona's performance was very ordinary given the opposition.Also Lenglet was sent off in the game which shows the form of barca's back line. I think they need Messi to pull them out of this slump and carry the team to these results. Plus Valverde's tactics have been way off recently.

I haven't given my impression about the derby yesterday, but i'll keep it short: • From a 7-3 during pre-season, to a 0-0 draw at their home ground, I'll call that a major improvement for Zidane & Co. • We can't play without Casemiro, what a beast! Easily the MOTM yesterday. • Hazard is turning out to be a flop. Hopefully, it's because he's adapting to a new team/country/teammates. etc.

Btw, Real Sociedad have the chance to become the new leaders today...Well, well, well, La Liga is now more entertaining that the EPL, who would've thought, eh?

That's the same old story in the every league in europe. Whenever two league title contenders face each other, they'll definitely play it safe, those teams know that. in the long run, you win the league by not dropping points against the low-tier teams, not against the top teams which are like 2 or 3.

I don't know. Maybe I'm so biased but I don't agree with most of the reports I'm reading about the derby. Seemed a bit big on a yawn lately, and Real simply can't seem to get themselves out when it comes to Atleti.

Good for Barca of course, but only if we can keep on winning our games! Interesting league table for sure.

I totally agree with you as lot of time i have seen this type of hype matches mostly go without goal as both team dont want to lose the match and play defense game. That is why always going under goal in this type of game gives good profit

A stalemate does not mean the game is boring. It seems you guys only considers lots of goal as an exciting match. If you look at the stats, it's quite balanced, but ATM xG is higher. I kinda get the same feeling like the City vs Liverpool match where both of the team are aware of each other strengths and try not to give any chance to create a score.

There's nothing we can do, they did their best during the game. If you look at the match statistics, they've done a lot of shots, fouls or corner kicks. But yes, they don't do all the kicks on goal or to the right target. Therefore the match only ends in a draw.

In my earlier post on this thread I said both teams were missing their prolific strikers and this goalless draw proved exactly that, but I will say that Oblak is indeed a world class goalkeeper among the best 3 in the world, His reflexes and ability to save the header from Benzema shows exactly how good he is.

Yes they can, Sevilla no longer tgat strong team we saw the past couple of seasons. They sold off players who were the back bone of their attacks.

Atletico Madrid will be very happy with the draw, because the way they played tonight showed that they were only set out to get at a point, The lack intent and barely cause Real Madrid any problems.

As a Barca fan, the draw is the most favorable result I could hope for because it means both teams have dropped two points. Meanwhile Granada fairytale start continues as they secure a win against Leganes to remain in the 2nd position on the table.

In Madrid derby we didn't saw any goals scored and it was typical match of Atletico Madrid. Real played better and had more chances, but weren't able to score - Oblak played great tonight.

Real Madrid had many chances to score but they didn't. If they keep the same pace they are going to accomplish it in the second half. Good to see Hazard and Bale on the first lineup though.

Good to see Barcelona finally keeping a clean sheet, clinching 3 points and winning away game all together in one game. It wasn't the best performance from them to be honest but what really mattered was that they kept the composure throughout the game. Pique was awesome in defending so was Firpo. Lenglet did make a silly mistake and got red trust but luckily it didn't cost Barca much. But what should I say about the duo of Frenkie and Arthur. How good both of them are, Xavi-Iniesta 2.0.
Quick fact: Arthur has got the highest SofaScore ratings among all Barca players in every of his last 5 matches he played for Barcelona.
