Ex Real Madrid President succumbs to Coronavirus COVID19  Cry
Lorenzo Sanz was Real president from 1995 to 2000, during which time the Madrid giants won Champions League twice

The Virus started out jokingly but right now it's bringing a lot of gloom to the football world
It is very risky for him because his age is under the attack target of the virus. I hope he will recover well.

Relates to Real Madrid, it makes me shock to know Luka Jovic broke the isolation rule in order to join his girlfriend's birthday. I hope all football players who have been under isolation period will obey all rules, in order to help them staying safe in the pandemic as well as help communities around them.

RIP Sad
Is anyone betting on this LaLiga esport thing ? I can't see how bookies can accepted something like this and yet they did...do we know how this 2 guys are playing FIFA ? No we don't. We take a blind bet accepting this ? Yes we do. Do we like it ? Yes, what else should we betting on when we have so few offers no matter what the sport is. The good thing is that esport are here to save us.
Were we can bet on it? Does any of crypto sportsbooks have it? It would be interesting to try. I have no idea how they set odds without knowing how good or bad each player plays FIFA.

The death toll from Francisco Garcia discloses that strong men can be killed by the virus, no matter what they are players, athletics, or trainers (coaches).
It's true what you said, but it's important to mention that he was battling with cancer, if I'm not mistaken IV stage. So, it's very likely that this illness made he more vulnerable and this is why lost battle with Coronavirus. RIP.

Deportivo Alaves confirmed 15 infected players and staff members. It's 3rd team, after Valencia and Espanyol with confirmed COVID-19 cases. Spain is second most infected country in Europe, so it's very likely that we will see more similar news from other teams in next days...

Most people who die from the corona virus, have a history of previous illnesses. So that the chances of survival will be very little, plus the virus that approached. Therefore from that age over 50 years most died, due to the complexity of the previous illness.

Here is probably the first death of the Covid-19 associated with football, A Spanish football coach Francisco Garcia died at the age of 21, he was said to coaching  malaga-based youth team. it was discovered that he was already suffering from a form of Leukemia, which probably made more vulnerable to the Virus.

There are two teams have been most attacked by the virus, and Valencia is the worst victim so far with more than 30 percent of the club's members have been infected with the virus. Spain, on the other hand, is also one of the highest infected nations in the Europe so far. It's bad to see nations in which most of biggest leagues held are affected by the virus, Italy, Spain, Germany, France, and England. The Euro 2020 has still been in discussed but in early discussion, it will probably be postponed till the summer of 2021.

The probably luckiest teams in this whole drama for the moment are Espanyol, Leganes, Mallorca. I mean Spain are one of the most infected countries, it will take much time to recover (+ 4-6 weeks at least), La Liga could be cancelled, so they will not be de-ranked. We may see also new rules like 1-2 game(s) between Barca VS Madrid for the first spot and a mini tournament between 4-5 teams for the CL/EL spots!
These mini tournaments is more likely to happen in Champions/Europa league, it would be strange decision to make such tournament in league. Most likely they will play remaining 11 round and end season much later than planned, maybe in August. The problem that contract of some players ends in June. It means that last teams will relegate to Segunda as usual. But now we have to wait for UEFA decision which will be made today or tomorrow.

It is already proposed that nobody gets relegated and that 2 teams get promoted. Meaning, Primera will have 2 more clubs next season if that gets accepted. That actually sounds like quite ok solution to me.

This scenario you have provided isn't even one of the La Liga president, Javier Tebas, has provided. The last time he have talked about La Liga being over he talked about the possibility of the resumption of the remaining games on a later date, a play offs to decide the title winners and relegations, and the last one is to declare the current season null and void but there is nothing about them being 22 teams next season in La Liga.

why do you think that they will not be de-ranked, that means that teams from Segunda will not join Primera, or Primera will have more participants next season, i think that the best possible solution for Primera teams is to organize play-off between them and top teams from Segunda, but current table could be taken as final as well, and they could be de-ranked based on that

Why do we not think positively about the sudden breaks for biggest leagues in Europe? It will give most players great chances to recharge their energy, of course excluding players who get infected with the virus. When leagues come back, we will have better matches, in quality, from healthier players.

After the peaks of pandemic occur in Europe, everything will be better. Governments know what to do to response with at better levels and communities have less fear about the virus. Some reports and researches (mathematical predictive models) say the pandemic will reach its peak in April. I hope so and hope the best thing for who have been infected with the virus.

Good luck, good health, and for a better world.

Omicron is another FUD
Almost all leagues in Europe have been postponed, maybe with this delay is there a loss for the club?
of course, many clubs suffer losses including ticket sales, schedule that has been set, and broadcast rights (cmiiw). I've seen 20 La Liga games postponed..  football bettors are among the most disadvantaged by this extraordinary event.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
None of them have been tested positive for the virus so far, but it's possible for one to have contacted the virus without testing positive immediately or within the first few days, that's the essence of the isolation isolation/quarantine period until after this periods has elapsed and test still shows as negative before it can be said that one doesn't have the virus.
Real Madrid will certainly undergo a quarantine process.  As reported by the club's official website, this decision was taken after there was a Madrid basketball player who tested positive for the Corona virus.  The decision to undergo quarantine was taken in view of the entire team (football, basketball and handball), undergoing their activities in the same complex.

Los Blancos' football squad has also been confirmed not to undergo a La Liga match for the next two weeks after the league match is postponed.

I think with the quarantine process Real Madrid players will also be better off to see who is positive in the virus and I think it's grateful that there are no positive players because it is very that other players if still in one team with another.

La Liga seems to be postponed until April like other leagues maybe in Spain is not as severe as what it is in Italy but it prevents better before being exposed to the virus outbreak.

I believe that football players should be tested every 14 days in order to be sure that they are not affected.
If they have been tested negative twice then this would be the case that they are not infected by coronavirus. Spain has a serious problem as 120 deaths are already reported and more than 4.200 people are infected by the virus.
Why it is restricted to only football players? There are many people around the world need test kit for screening process of the virus. Without suspected symptoms or close contacts with infected cases, there is no need to take a test.

Fundamentally, players have better health than normal people so I believe most of them will only have mild symptoms and will recover well after all. Only people have contacts with infected players have to be careful with their health condition progress after infected.

By the way, the quarantine test results are negative for Real Madrid players?
